Blink…Blink…Blink

The little line mocks my futile attempts.

As it knows that the ideas in my head

Are as blank as the page.

Click…Click…Click

A moment of triumph

As words spill from my fingers.

The ideas now seem ready to burst.

Hiya joshua reviewing your poem.
I really enjoyed this because I could relate too alot of the sentences cx i know how it feels to want to write somthing and then write and just start over , there was detail in poem which I liked and there was really no punctuation errors I could find, all capitals are in place and all.My favourite part of the poem was these three lines.

"A moment of triumph

As words spill from my fingers.

The ideas now seem ready to burst."

I think its the best part in the poem!! keep writing love to see more of your work because its really good!

I could really relate to this. I often begin writing, think it's great, and then realize that it sucks and have to start over. You obviously didn't have writer's block on this piece though because it is great.

Writer block is a curse, hahha.

Few nitpicks:

''The little line mocks. (I feel like something more should come after mocks like: ''the little line mocks my muse'')

(I would add ''As'' here)It knows that the ideas in my head

Are as blank as the page.''

''~'' (I really don't think that sign is needed throughout the poem)

Overall, it's interesting to see a different take on what seems like a cliche subject matter for many writers.

Tend your flame...

The reason for the '~' was that I had no idea how to space out my stanzas but now I know I shall go and edit now. Thank you for the review :D

Hi, Niraco! (Wow, cool name!)

I really like this! If I interpreted this correctly, this is a poem about writer's block? I think all of us on this website can relate!! That little blinking cursor DOES seem to mock you, doesn't it? It's doing it to me now as I write this review. =/

Moving on! I was a little uncertain at first as to what the little line was, though that may be because I'm still "old-fashioned" and like to do my drafts on paper. :P

As far as the formatting goes, it's a bit weird. You can hold shift and press enter to make the lines of each stanza right under each other, and you can just hit enter to have it separate the stanzas. Just a tip; I know some people have been having trouble with that. =)

^I loved it. XD I know the feeling SOOOO well! Even when writing essays; I often get a page and a half in before I decide that I'm stuck and have to do something else. I'm wondering whether the period after "wrong" in the first line should be a comma or not. I think usually it would be, but in this particular context, it seems to add to the tone of the poem. :?

Once again, GREAT poem!! I look forward to reading more of your work. ^_^

Oohh! Is that how you separate stanzas! Why wasn't I informed of this before xD

I like your name too :D

I dunno. I was never told, but I always did that on facebook, so I guess it's automatic for me. (I just hold shift and press enter twice, but it has the same result.)

I related to this poem from the get-go (gecko?). I've been feeling blocked for what seems like dumbledore's lifetime. Great usage of the ellipsis to build up to the stanzas. I like the breaks in between, as if to show time passing without using words. That's really unique and I love it!
The last stanza caught me off guard. The first two lines are great, but the last line seems a little out of place in a humorous poem! But perhaps that was your intention.
If it was your intention, great job, because I kind of like it. That's really how it feels sometimes, especially since I'm a total drama queen.
If it wasn't your intention, maybe change "despair," to something a little less intense.
All-around great poem. I really want to read more of your stuff!!

Thanks for the review. I actually was going for the 'drama queen' feel for this poem. It was just to add some more humor to it :D

Ohhh okay, brilliantly done, then! That's how I am a lot of the time :P great poem!!

And then, as if written by the hand of a bad novelist, an incredible thing happened.
