Never Look Back

In Poetry

Never look back,
You won't like what you see.
The present is not the same,
once it becomes history.

The people you once knew,
and the ones you called lovers,
will never be the same
once Time has its endeavors.

The sun will rise and set,
while shadows come and go.
And the only thing you get;
more sins scratched on your soul.

And the clock will still be ticking-
you can never stop that.
But you can always take the wheel-
you can take your future back.

But what if Life was fair?
What if there were happy-endings?
Would you be able to find yours?
Or would you look, and live forever dreading?

This is a message from me,
this is a message to you;
Don't ever regret your past,
Live, love, and create your life anew.

I like how you present both sides, and how you question your reader at the end

I really like the last part. You are really talented, as I am sure you know, and I think that poetry is really your, how do you say, genre. Keep writing and I thank you for all of the reviews that you have given me. And congrats on being featured, if you were even featured and if you haven't been you need to be.

This is a fantabulischously wonderriffic poem! If someone going through tough times (like me!) Would feel alot of support from this. I love it when people use more complicated words in rhyme, as you succesfully did. Honest, great job! :) :) :)

Life is like a bag of potatoes, it starts out rough, but can turn into something beautiful (and yummy).
