Make It into Heaven

E - Everyone

In Gleefully Irreverent

Saint Peter better let me in
the day that I come calling,
or else I’ll have to set
those Pearly Gates to falling.

I’ll make it into heaven.
Just wait around and see—
I’ll make it into heaven
‘cause it’s The Place to be.

The angels better make a hole
before their ranks go flying
when I march through the clouds
with vengeance, never dying.

And once inside your heaven,
just wait around and see—
I’ll make it into Heaven,
into My Place to Be.

I’ll send you all to packing.
I’ll shoo you out the door.
This Heaven is MY kingdom
for now and -evermore.

And once you’ve all been shuffled out,
and all of Mine moved in,
and once the Kingdom’s settled,
then the Party can begin!

For~

I’ve made it into Heaven,
and it’s The Place to be.
I’ve made it into Heaven,
though Hell is what you’ll see.

Helooooooooo! SkyeJane here! Now I love the concept that you had and I think it's pretty relevant in the sense that everyone wants to get to heaven right? I also think yours is a bit of a new concept; while most people would try to do the right things to get to heaven, you're just gonna march right on in.
The first verse for me seemed a little iffy, because it didn't really seem to match everything else. It also seemed a little slower and as I think somebody else said, somber. The rest of it seemed to have a sort of mocking tune to it when I ran it through my head. This sames appropriate when you're saying things like:
"The angels better make a hole"
"I'll send you all packing"
For me it almost had that sort of "nyah nyah nee nyah haah" tune that little kids tease each other with. Like: I'm getting into heaven, nyah haha haaaaaaa!!". This isn't really a bad thing and I didn't mean it to sound harsh. I actually think it suits the song well as I'm not sure what this song is really sounding like.
All in all, not bad. There were some good rhyming couplets and a nice rhythm, you just need to work out what it's gonna sound like. SkyeJanexxx

Wow. Noir here, and I'll be your reviewer today.

First, I love the concept. It was excellent and gripped me the whole way through.

Next, the rhythm. It was catchy and somber. At least, that's how I read it. The rhythm was a key in keeping me reading instead of walking off.

I couldn't see any grammar flaws looking back on it, so there's nothing to report there.

Overall, this was a great poem. The concept was good, the rhythm kept me reading, and I saw no grammar flaws. 9/10 on my hyena's scale of greatness.

Take care of yourself and keep writing.

Ha ha, this is a pretty funny piece! You could call it blasphemous, I suppose, but it's pretty amusing nonetheless...
Guineapiggirl here with a revieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!
I like this. I think it's very amusing. However, all the verses have a similar sort of thing, particularly towards the end. The same meaning in a slightly reshuffled word order. Also, the first verse:

Saint Peter better let me in
the day that I come calling,
or else I’ll have to set
those Pearly Gates to falling.

Ouch I have rarely seen a rhyme that forced! Ouch... Funny 'cause most of the rest of your rhymes are pretty good, but this one's terrible! No offence...

when I march through the clouds
with vengeance, never dying.

The last line of this couplet feels like it's a syllable too short. By leaving a pause at the comma it can sound ok, but on first read it feels very awkward.

Are the last two verses an either or? When you put For do you mean or?
Of the two I prefer the first one.

I hope I've helped a little! Funny piece :D

Hello! I'm here to review on your work and let's leave the grammar and other important facets to the experts. I'll just state my opinion...

I think that it's absolutely wrong for me to judge your song without hearing it first, so I'm not gonna go into that but I think your song is more of a poem for me. It probably has a tune, so I suggest you could move away a bit from the usual four-line format of most poems, or label them with the "chorus" and "bridge" to give the readers the feel of a song.

It conveys a message which leaves me a bit confused, although it's very well-written. I guess I just can't relate to the message.

That's all. Keep writing!
