[AD!] Looking For: Poets Willing To Venture On A Thrilling Adventure

Dear Brave Bearers of the Quills,

you may have heard a
rickroll, thund'ring through the lands.
it bears a message!

The queen of chaos needs our help right now;
In Candy Cane Forest, great trouble lies low.
So take up writing utensils and take a vow:
We will extinguish the unease that grows.

If you wish to contribute to this grave and very serious cause, enlist your services here.

P.S. Unguaranteed compensation could include:

  • Saving the species of the endangered Chubbyorum Bunnyalisa
  • A share in 1,000,000 YWS points
  • Prestige accompanied by finding Nate the Dragon

I laughed at this. It's funny! I love hyperbole in poetry.

The formatting and the subject (hurting your leg) creates an interesting duality in the poem. The dramatic nature of the former and the normality of the latter conflict. I love especially how you've ended this. The omission of the 'elp' in help is a nice touch!

Thanks! Have you read Headache or Eyelash? Eyelash is the original, by Sheytato, I think.

I love how it feels like a diary entry from someone who is having cognitive issues, it makes me think he might be having deep leg thrombosis or something along those lines and might have had a heart attack or stroke at the end. He must have not moved around in a long time and then suddenly became active, I'm guessing. I really liked the poem! Short and sweet and to the point, it's a kind of talent to give someone an entire background story through so little text.

I'm glad you liked it! It's actually nothing so morbid, just a leg ache I get from my lame feet arches :( I like to be dramatic, though.

I don't do time.
