"Don't be afraid of the dark."
Isn't that what we say to the little children?
Giving them that false sens of security,
when the worst things of life are the ones
found hiding in the darkness.
"Check under your bed for monsters."
We come back to the need to define what
monsters are. Is it just a fluffy creature
with big green eyes and shaggy coat. Or
are the monsters of the world the things
we may view as weak, and never expect.

Heya, Liz! Casanova here to do another review for you!
The only thing I didn't really like in this poem was the repetition. I would suggest leaving out the statements that have it. What I mean by this is instead of using the repetitive lines you could just leave the one statement. Like, where you would repeat just leave off the repetitive part and continue with what you were going to say. I think that that would really help this a lot, and it would takke out some of the overwhelming length.
The length is another thing. It's a really long poem, and I feel like you're taking a lot out of it, but I also feel like you're stretching this idea a bit far. Hence why I think you kind of got repetitive towards the end, and I think you could easily prune that.
Anyway, overall I think this was a really fun piece that you could have done more with had you cut the repetition. Overall it was a good piece, and I barely had anything wrong with it and nothing that wasn't already discussed below. I think you should keep this up, and have fun.
Keep on doing what you're doing and keep on keeping on.
That's all I have to say and I hope this helped.

Hey! Here's my thoughts on this poem.

I thought this idea was very interesting and sort of deep. I think adding some better punctuation would help the flow of the poem. And you tended to be repetitive in the poem. Other than those things I really liked this work. I thought it was really original and really poetic
I hope this review was helpful!

Okay so so. Now I shalt review thy poem :v

First of all, I think it'd be good to start by mentioning how I admire the decision you made regarding what would this poem be about. I've never seen a poem that tries to defines poems before so I must bow before you and present a shown of the satisfaction I feel when I see people trying new things like these. I also liked the wording, although there were parts that let me hanging off a cliff (In the negative way), I really liked the language format you decided to use. Simple and direct, yet it possesses incredible depth.
Now, let's get into the hard stuff. As I said earlier, there were parts that left me hanging off a cliff:
"Just a note on page
Simplified down to sentences shall be
Their resting place for all eternity"
The change in the selection of words is simply to quick and (imo) takes some out from the flow of the reading. Same can be said from the next verses:
"Or will they be emotion?
Will they be descriptions?
Will they be the light?"
That 'descriptions' right in the middle of such deepness let me in a "uhhhhh" state. What I mean by showing these two fragments is that you switched styles within them too fast. From vain and daily to deep and obscure (imo) in just two or three verses of difference? Perhaps it's just me but such sudden changes take the reader out of the magic circle. Because of this I think you might have been a little rushed while writing this text, since changing the 'flaws' I point to would simply make the poem larger, there's no way around that.
But overall, it's a very good piece of writing. Like everything else, it can be improved upon, but honestly, I'm astonished
Hey! EverWinter here to give you a review!
I really like the idea of this poem but I think it could be so much more.
First off, you have a great beginning. But you could get extremely scornful of the dictionary definition. Poems aren't just a composition. Never have they been! Poems are an escape for the people locked in cages. They are sight for the blind! They are color and life and love and they are the scent of cherry blossoms in the wind. Poems are the very essence of emotion. Of feeling everything from lust to pain to rage. Make poems that. Make YOUR poem that.
Also the other thing I noticed that bugged me was "Or will it be description?" All short stories are describing something. It's a given. So maybe change it to something like "Or is it a photo" or something else.
All in all, great idea, and most of it was really good! I loved reading it! I just thought it could use more emotion, more exaggerated comparisons. Really great job!

This is a piece of nicely written poetry. I feel like you put a lot of thought into it, while I was reading it I was thinking about what you wrote, it really captured my train of thought. Achieving that goal, the goal of catching someone's attention, to me it is one of the most important things in writing.
I did notice that in between the lines there aren't any commas. I'm not sure if you did this on purpose or if you didi it because you got carried away. I can assure you that your work is good. I just think when you type it perfectly that people think better of you as a writer, which isn't always true but, close enough.
I like how you included the dictionary definition. I feel like that really gets the point across even more. I feel like the people who write definitions about writing aren't writers they are probably educated people who think they know everything because they went to college.
I know this review probably sucks, but I wanted to share my opinion. Overall, I didn't see any terrible mistakes but, then again I am not a professional so I might have missed some stuff.
Your writing is beautiful, have an amazing day and keep writing.
