Dear verse,
I only ask this of you -
be the trace that I leave
Should someone ever find you
and should they blow the dust off
to read you line by line,
reveal to them my passion
show them the color of my ink,
the angle of my handwriting,
the subtle stains on the paper
where the sweat that left my brows
fell
on the page and coalesced
with the dark blue
I only ask this of you -
should someone ever find you
and should they blow the dust off
to read you line by line
then come alive, carry them
bring them to me
take me to them

Your comment was posted, but it wasn’t long enough to count as a review. Reviews need about four complete sentences (at least 250 characters). Try writing another review that explains your thoughts in more detail — the author will appreciate it, and you’ll earn points for it.
Morning, shoaib! It's Stormsie here to review for ya, per request.

I'm certain most users on the site can relate quite closely to "Dear Verse", adding so much more emphasis to the meaning. I connected to your words immediately.
You began your work in a unique approach which I admire, instead of taking a more traditional route of addressing your writing. That opening stanza is perfect, really capturing the reader's attention.
Next, I apologize. I swear I'm trying to give you a critical review, but I can't seem to find anything terribly awful that just screams "error!" to my face. It's phrases like this:
"reveal to them my passion
show them the color of my ink,
the angle of my handwriting,
the subtle stains on the paper"
which brings a smile to my face and causes me to pause for a moment to think. Bravo.
The only spot where I feel as if something fundamental could possibly change is in:
"then come alive, carry them
bring them to me
take me to them"
Wouldn't it make sense to apply commas after "carry them" and "bring them to me"? They introduce a new thought, after all. Currently it's all just one rambly line.
Lastly, can I just say that this ending fits in seamlessly? Guh. My author feels might have burst just a bit on the final two lines. Great!
I realize this is mostly praise for your work, shoaib, but you deserve it. Keep up the good work, and as always: Write on!

thank you so much!
Hey there! Purple here to give you a review! Let's get started.
Wow! This is fantastic with a nice rhythm and a simple subject that you have elaborated on to the perfect degree. I only have 2 suggestions to show when you start a new thought or should show the importance of a statement.
"reveal to them my passion
show them the color of my ink,"
I would make the first line its own sentence since it's a different thought than the line before it, and then make the second line start a sentence with a series (basically capitalize 'show' and you're good to go!)
One more thing
"then come alive, carry them
bring them to me
take me to them"
..is basically the same thing but reversed (either bringing them to you or bringing you to them)
I would end the sentence at carry them and remove 'bring them to me' and have the last line be its own sentence.
I hope this was helpful and keep up the great work! Have a nice day!

someone say my name?
i like this poem a lot. i think it can really speak to all us poets in her. my only critics is that you may want to add some punctuation. It goes up to 5 lines without any, leaving the reader out of breath. I like how you made this section:
"where the sweat that left my brows
fell
on the page and coalesced"
It looks almost like the word fell has fallen from the row. I also like the repetition of "I only ask this of you-" Beautiful poem!
