Many people normally don't read what I have written before the poem starts and just start reviewing, when they review they start asking questions, and I have to explain them that this is a short story written in a poem form, and that it has been divided into four chapters. Here are the four short chapters of the poem/story of a murder convict.
Now, this started off as a story piece for English, but now I have it handed in and graded, I was thinking that I would love to expand on it a bit more. So, I would love a harsh, truthful critique, please, to help me along with this new working progress.
It's in 'Other Fiction' and is a short horror story. Please, take your time on it, here is the link and many, many thanks in advance!!
I'm getting to them, people. There may be somewhat of a long wait though as I'm on holiday now and intend to relax from critiquing for a while.
Had I the heavens embroider'd cloths,
I would spread the cloths under your feet.
But I being poor, have only my dreams,
So tread softly, for you tread on my life.
Lord Anzius, the above says that multiple requests are no longer accepted.
Twooster, I'm workin' on it.
Had I the heavens embroider'd cloths,
I would spread the cloths under your feet.
But I being poor, have only my dreams,
So tread softly, for you tread on my life.
I came into this world wrinkled and ugly. And no matter how much I accumulate here, it's a short journey. I will go out of this world wrinkled and ugly. So I enjoy life.
Had I the heavens embroider'd cloths,
I would spread the cloths under your feet.
But I being poor, have only my dreams,
So tread softly, for you tread on my life.
Twooster, I've done you a critique three times and each time my klutzy fingers have managed to delete it from the depths of my computer. I think your critique simply is not fated to be done today, so I'll leave it for tommorow. Sorry about the delay.
Had I the heavens embroider'd cloths,
I would spread the cloths under your feet.
But I being poor, have only my dreams,
So tread softly, for you tread on my life.
Had I the heavens embroider'd cloths,
I would spread the cloths under your feet.
But I being poor, have only my dreams,
So tread softly, for you tread on my life.

I really bared a little of my hidden self in this poem, I think it is quite good, but I would like to perfect it. You give very comphrehensive reviews from what I have seen, so I would like it if you could review it for me.
Since I am a very firm fan of yours I would love if you could possibly review my piece and bestow some of your brilliance upon it

Take your time, though since it's christmas and you seem to have a lot of requests!
Have a wonderful christmas!

'Don't you just love these long rainy afternoons in New Orleans when an hour isn't just an hour but a little bit of Eternity dropped into your hands- and who knows what to do with it?'

Okie-dokie, sofi!
I'm getting round to all of them, guys. Just bear with me.
Had I the heavens embroider'd cloths,
I would spread the cloths under your feet.
But I being poor, have only my dreams,
So tread softly, for you tread on my life.
You might have to be patient. I'm a bit tied down at the moment.
Had I the heavens embroider'd cloths,
I would spread the cloths under your feet.
But I being poor, have only my dreams,
So tread softly, for you tread on my life.
To be a master of metaphor is the greatest thing by far. It is the one thing that cannot be learnt from others, and it is also a sign of genius. — Aristotle, Poetics
