Spooky suspenseful cover :0 Also, are your characters planets, or just named after them? Either way, it's neat =P I'll def be cheering you on this Camp NaNo, Roxanne! Woot woot!!

Thanksss @Spearmint !! I'd love to say the characters are planets, but they're very much human XD At the beginning, I didn't have any names for them, so I nicknamed them after planets. but eventually the nicknames stayed in the story and turned out to fit the plot quite well. :]

Day 1

Progress: Today I was able to do a rough draft of the storyline, specifically how all the twists and turns fit together. Did a little elevator pitch at the beginning before I started to go deeper and more detailed.

Perhaps the complexity of the storyline is much more complex than the first complex draft of the complex storyline, due to the fact that I counted 10 plot twists 0.0
It is, however, still a rough draft and fortunately I worked with headlines and then went into more detail. Which resulted in a rough storyline of five pages??

It's fine.

Excerpt: Not revealing any plot twists yet *rubs hands together mischievously*

Tomorrow's goal: Hard to say what tomorrow's goal will be, but I'm aiming to do some more storyline drafting or develop the characters (or continue with a chapter?)

Other: I've added pictures to the story and they're very helpful in bringing the story to life. It makes it easier to imagine certain things and write in certain ways. (It's also a fun 'take-a-break' activity XD)
@NadyaStatham Thanks a ton for the inspiration :]

Day 2

Progress: Character development came first: Developed the backstories of the five friends, but might add or remove some things. The backstories are something crucial to the whole story because they build up to the character's motive *cue some mystery* Most of the explanations of why they did what they did are based on their backstories. Plot twists listed per character and onesentence!

#OneSentence

Five once-inseparable friends drifted apart, each harbouring secrets tied to a game with unspoken rules, but when one dies the others receive a note; someone's watching them and they know about their past-- what really happened to cause the rift?

*cue dramatic tunes*

I'm aiming for some more character development of side characters or plotting like a diligent writer, but. Writing another chapter is tempting xD

Day 3

Progress: Since it's favsidecharacter time, I've started to develop two important side characters who will have a 'sort of' role in all the mischief and chaos that will be going on (Paul and Celeste). Also some hashtagging today :)

Roxanne wrote:#FavSideCharacter #NaNoTags

I think I'll go with Paul as my favourite side character, he’s the driver of the main character. I haven’t developed all my side characters yet, hence the first name only. But he’s loyal, and doesn’t talk much. Paul's also extremely trustworthy, which will be crucial- because with suspicious events there's always a need for a getaway driver..

Day 4

Progress:
Spoiler

Finished a possible scenario of a plot twist reveal and started with another chapter that kind of explains it a bit.

Main character goes to a cemetery (no, unfortunately there are no zombies or pale looking friends with sharp fangs), brings a letter and some white chrysanthemums. Then there follows a conversation with a dead person. Wellll, technically she's going to have a conversation with the lonely gravestone, because there's no body.

Nope, no body in the cemetery. But yes, it's confirmed that he's now very dead. And yes, he's been that way for a long time.

Yea, I'm starting to think I went a little too far with all the wildness and chaos

Apart from that, i included symbols based on flowers in the novel. Certain types of flowers at a place, flowers for a person and flowers for this scene. The white chrysanthemums stand for truth- that specifically because the truth about a certain kind of event is revealed.

You're using the meaning of flowers?? I'm a huge flower symbolism nerd :D If you want over thinking based research on that, I can help XD

And the person is confirmed to be dead but there is no body? ...could that be the plot twist in this chapter :eyes:
