An amazing OC from @serrurie Hotel Dupont! I’m probably gonna do one more OC/Coverart from CM(iykyk @Spearmint) and the next posts are gonna be an art study thing! You can feel free to copy whatever, I draw, and hopefully come along as we all improve our art!

omg i’m so sorry serrurie but I don’t think I’m capable of doing Valerie for the time being TwT. I’ve been looking forward to drawing her more as she has that ghost seeing ability and a fancy dress, but I feel that I won’t be able to do her full justice, especially her curly hair at my current ability. Just know that if I do decide to work on her in the future, she’ll be worked on with all my heart! Hope you understand, and once again, I’m so sorry T.T

did some practice today. Eyes are surprisingly hard to draw detailed;;
Also, I feel that my coloring has improved but I still can’t draw in diverse angles. This drawing feels kinda motionless and generic. I wanna be able to draw more dynamic poses y’know.

@EllieMae omg ty! normally, It takes me ~3hours to draw a fully colored simple character rendition like this one. If you add background and composition though… it easily surpasses 5 and sometimes even 7 hours.. (like my Aloha ia Oe coverart)

One thing I used to help give me ideas for poses was the app "MagicPoser" on iPad. I'm not sure if it's available anywhere else, and mind you, the models themselves are very generic and probably not something to be followed to a T, but they can give you some ideas about shading, proportions, placement, etc. Hope this helps ^^
