This is pretty simple and can be lots of fun. The premise is you take the last line of the haiku before yours and make it the first as yours. It doesn't necessarily have to be the exact line either. If you can cleverly change it in subtle ways so that it rhymes or sounds the same that is also cool. Example:
This is a haiku
five, seven, five syllables
would be the format
...
could be a doormat
were it not for the large head
must be tiger's skin
etc.
So here's a starter haiku:
old film reels rotate
monochrome images of
what dogs imagine
