This is pretty simple and can be lots of fun. The premise is you take the last line of the haiku before yours and make it the first as yours. It doesn't necessarily have to be the exact line either. If you can cleverly change it in subtle ways so that it rhymes or sounds the same that is also cool. Example:

This is a haiku
five, seven, five syllables
would be the format

...

could be a doormat
were it not for the large head
must be tiger's skin

etc.

So here's a starter haiku:

old film reels rotate
monochrome images of
what dogs imagine
"Is", "is." "is" — the idiocy of the word haunts me. If it were abolished, human thought might begin to make sense. I don't know what anything "is"; I only know how it seems to me at this moment. -Robert Anton Wilson

what dogs imagine
fields of steak filled ecstasy
will never happen
It is a very sad thing that nowadays there is so little useless information.

the carnage is cyclical

in the cold breath of mornings
uncounted, loveless.

"Buck up, Yellow-Gut!"
cried the hawk to the gold-finch
"Birds have to eat worms."
you should know i am a time traveler &
there is no season as achingly temporary as now
but i have promised to return

Early birds eat worms,
therefore, Lazy Worm argues --
early worms get ate.

out of dirt and side-walk cracks

Stretch to find the sun -
It's okay if you get burned,
Just don't hurt your eyes.
Fezzes are cool.

Do not hurt your eyes,
Citrus will be your demise,
Ridiculous pain.

Ridiculous pain,
Why does it make me so vain?
Bring me water, please!
Fezzes are cool.

plead for water now,
from a fresh, far-away spring,
or the kitchen sink.

Or the kitchen sink,
desert dry until you leave,
then it floods your world.

then it floods your world,
leaving clean and dry eyes
for the next venture.
