Sky Pirates vs Sky Ninjas

Hello everyone! This is a week-long storybook for the YWS'tival! That's not to say it will only last for a week, but it may be intense and quick paced so please be aware of that!

The Plot

For many a generation, the pirates have clashed with the ninjas, even before they took to the skies. Some say the old Earth was destroyed through their wars, ravished and damaged until there was nothing left. Others say there was never an Earth at all, that the homo-sapiens were a mutation of other, more familiar races. But both groups agree that the war began with the humans.

The World

There are many worlds and most are populated by a wide variety of alien races. But our characters are not the kind who live on land. Most were born on ships or captured at a young age and they are far more comfortable sailing through space than they are swaying cautiously about the docking outposts.

The two groups of ships move from world to world, the pirates to trade and plunder. The ninjas to assassinate and uphold the balance of their order. And whenever the ships meet each other, there is blood.

The Characters

You will choose a pirate or a ninja! Your character can be human or alien or a hybrid. If they are human, then they were born on one of the numerous ships which hold the survivors of the human race, or on a small settlement on planet Nymphia where a group of humans gave up their pirate/ ninja ways and attempted to form a civilised society. If they are alien, what has made them desert their society to fall in with the hated hoards of humanity?

Special provision has been made for those members of the YWS Fleet who wish to participate. You know who you are and you may play a Fleet character instead of one of the preordained groups if you so wish!

Oh, this sounds epic awesome! I'll post my profile later, but I call dibs on an apprentice ninja! How old are they, anyway? I can see they can be under sixteen, but average age?

Name: Chiana Lummi
Age: 13
Race: Human

Appearance: Red-brown hair cropped to just above her ears. Gray eyes. Overall, small, petite frame, but a little clumsy anyway.

Personality: Chiana’s fairly extroverted and optimistic, believing in the overall “goodness” of the world around her. She’s very enthusiastic about training and fighting and, well, everything else. She’s determined and loyal to her ideals, but very naive. Also somewhat impulsive and doesn't know when it would be a good idea to give up. Chiana’s a horrible judge of character.

History:She was born on the ship, because her mother is one of the ninjas. Her mother is her idol, but she never knew her father. She grew up on the ship, and this is the only life she's ever known. Started training fairly young, wishing to impress her mother, but really only has a mediocre skill set.

Name: Noni Nite

Age: She appears 17/18, but due to a very long story, she no longer ages (though she can still be injured and killed).

Race: Noni was born human though is debatably 99% Ninja.

Alliance: She is allied with the Ninjas.

Rank: She is technically unranked as she is an outside force allying with the ninjas.

Appearance: She is Around 1.6 feet tall with a medium-skinny build on a slight, nimble frame. Light blue eyes with a slight taste of grey and wavy light copper-blonde hair that reaches to the bottoms of her shoulder blades. White skin with a hint of a soft light tan and a small splash of freckles. She usually wears black jeans and either a black singlet or t-shirt accompanied by bare feet or dark grey lace-up canvas shoes.

Personality: Noni is usually witty and intelligent, while blunt but casual. Though, when given the chance, she can become fun and slightly outrageous. Typically seen as sneaky and underhand, as she is slow to trust them, people are slow to trust her. Although, when she makes a good solid friend, that friendship is usually for life.

History: First there were the Three Ninjateers, then there was NIGHT.
Unlike many of her fellows, Noni was actually born on Earth, a suburban town in NSW, Australia to be exact. Growing up with a Ninja Assassin for a farther, and a Ship Captain for a mother, Noni had always had an affinity for the Arts and Space. As she grew up, her mother taught her the ways of the Ship while her father taught her the ways of the ninja.
After reaching the age of 17, she travelled to Tura in the Omicron Tau-Rho solar system and began formal training on the Mountain of Starry Nights under the Mastery of Oboro Matsuhashi. There, she met her fellow Ninjateers: Annie and Payne. With her fellow Ninjateers, she want on long mission surrounding the Legend of Okari's League that ended with Noni becoming immortal (but still able to die and be injured) and leaving the Mountain of Starry Nights to create the NIGHT Fleet. As well as helping rebuild the YWS Fleet, Noni has now taken on a side mission to help the Sky Ninjas defeat the Sky Pirates.

Average age would be 11-16 for the apprentices!

Name: Auden Marle
Age: 18
Race: Human
Alliance: (Pirate or Ninja?) Ninja
Rank: a ninja person!
Appearance: Auden has black hair that she keeps in a braided updo. Her skin is tanned and she has a scar on her chin from an accident. Her eyes are brown.
She is small (5"3') but is nimble. She tends to wear black hoodies over black tee shirts and baggy black jeans. She also lace up boots in dark colors. Auden tends to wear a plain, silver ring on her left middle finger.

Personality: She is sarcastic. She is friendly though she comes off as standoff-ish. She is confident but this causes her to be quite impulsive.
(I don't usually write like this. Ex: She did. She is. She, she she. It's 2 in the morning right now XD sorry)

History: Auden was raised till she was thirteen by her adoptive mother, Lilian. Her real parents died of "mysterious" circumstances as Lilian puts it. At the age of thirteen she was taken to be trained as a ninja. She has been told her father was highly respected and her mother was handy with medical herbs. But nobody will tell her much other than that. As she climbs the ranks she wonders if she'll ever know where she comes from.

Name: Docco 'Wings' Mason
Age: 40
Race: Human/Birdman Hybrid
Alliance: Pirates
Rank: First Mate
Appearance: Overall, like a normal human, but with large, white wings on his back. He has a nice tan and a misleadingly thin figure, though you can't really tell since he's always wearing his baggy pirate clothing. He keeps his medium length white hair tied up in a ponytail, and red eyes. He's almost six feet tall, with his wing span twice that. Other than that, he's you're normal pirate.
Personality: He's only kind to his fellow pirates, unless they try to tell him what to do. Just the word 'ninja' will make him want to kill you, which is something he's very much use to doing.
His only weapon is his black scimitar that he keeps at his side at all times. He can usually be found cleaning it or sharpening it when he's not out killing with it.
And despite his aggressive attitude, he's quite smart. Or at least he thinks so.
Oh he breathes fire when he's mad. Just a bit.
History: His life was a rather uneventful one. With a Birdman father and a human mother, he was raised into the ways of a pirate from birth. Later on, he was always thankful for not receiving the looks of his fathers side of the family, beaks and talons and all.
All he really took away from his childhood was a love for alcohol and a hatred for ninjas.

I'd be very happy to take more than one xD *is addicted*

But do reserve me the Ninja Queen/King for now (I will yet decide on the gender).. I want to try something new with this one :3

Reserving a master assassin

Name: The worms don't really have names, so she makes everyone call her master. To her superiors she is known as Black.
Age: Her current host is around 20-25, but she herself is around 500 years old.
Race: Black Worm, inhabiting a human host.
As the name implies, black worms. They bury themselves in the spine of a host and take over the body of that person, since they're relatively defenseless on their own. A certain sign that someone has been taken over by a Black Worm is their black eyes. The hole eye turns completely black. When they enter the body of a host they make their hosts stronger, quicker, more agile and also heightens their senses. Unfortunately this wears the host's body down, which forces the Black Worms to change host quite often. It takes about six months for a body to start weakening, and when the first signs of deterioration shows the worm leaves its host. When they leave the body of their host the host dies immediately. They can live for thousands of years and are resilient to both cold and heat. The only way to kill it is to cut it in half.

Appearance: 5'8, athletic build. Her whole eyes are pitch black and so is her hair. She normally ties her hair up. Her fringe reaches just below her eyes, and covers them completely. Her skin is slightly tanned and she has a thin scar just below her right eye. She has a thin straight nose, high cheekbones and plump lips. As if to compensate for her somewhat angular features her eyes are big and almond shaped (though you can't see them, hrm).

Personality: She is very stern and doesn't show any emotion (except in rare cases), some might even call her cold, but at the same time she has a very strong sense of justice and fairness, and she has no prejudices and holds no grudges. She expects everyone else to be able to preform at the same level as she, and with the same skill (after proper training, that is). The only way to earn her respect is by proving your skill as a ninja, not showing of nor buttering up to her.

Though she might sound condescending towards her subordinates, she also cares about them a great deal. She is a dedicated teacher to the apprentices and even though it is not part of her duty she likes giving the apprentices on their training. In a battle she will do her utmost to protect her allies.

She's smart, tactical, analyzing and effective. If she can avoid a fight, she will, and if she can't avoid it then she'll make sure that there is close to no possibility for her enemies to win.

History: She was born on the home planet of the Black Worms. The first (roundabout) 100 years of her life she stayed there, inhabiting different creatures of that planet. When a human ship landed on the planet she, and several others of her kind, managed to take control over a handful of humans. The humans left the planet as quickly as they could when they realized what the Black Worms were doing, but she managed to stay undiscovered in her human host.

She traveled around the universe for the following 100 years, never staying too long in one place since she was afraid that she might be discovered. She saw the need of being able to defend herself, so she learned how to fight. The following 200 years were spent in constant training, picking up both techniques and weapons from all around the place.

At last she settled down with the ninjas. They didn't mind at all that she sometimes took over the bodies of the people she was supposed to assassinate, since the effect is the same, so she was finally able to be accepted by the people around her. Thanks to her training she quickly earned the title of Master Assassin and she has kept that title for about 100 years.

Name: Kiera Celyloque

Race: Human Caucasian/Polish
Alliance: (Pirate or Ninja?) Pirate

Appearance: Kiera is sixteen going on seventeen but manages to have flawless skin. She has long rich dark chocolate hair that hits her mid-stomach. Her hair is usually in a messy bun, braid/ponytail, or let loose. Her eyes are as blue as the sea she swims in. You could say she's five foot four. She's fragile, looks fragile at least, skinny but strong. She has a scar on her middle finger from a cut she got while scuba diving for treasure. Kiera always wears a pink bandana (maybe on her head, as a bracelet, anywhere. She wears it)

Personality: Like any pirate, Kiera is the dominating type. She likes to find treasure and look for it too. When she does go on a hunt, she likes to learn about the history of the place she's at and the history of the treasure. She states her opinion. She's not afraid of anything, well, maybe an octopus. Kiera is cocky, conceded, and very bright. She's learned a lot over the years and uses it to her advantage.

History: She grew up in a tight nit family until her father died. Well, that's what she thought. He's still alive, roaming shores and so is her mother. He disappeared from her life a few years back and just recently her mother did too. Her brother and sister were with her all her life, like the best siblings you could ask for. Until it came to the war between the sky ninjas and the sky pirates. The family got scared so the brother became one of the pirates, the sister practically died so she ran away. Her father, as we know. Mother is gone too. She's left alone with her uncle on a ship. Now she's trying to find here whole family. She thinks her father is dead so she is seeking revenge. She doesn't know he's alive under imprisonment by the sky ninjas.

Name: Rasheck Calvin Mcallister
Age: 17 in human years
[b]Race:Half Human Half Alien, human on his mothers side.
[b]Alliance: Sky Ninjas!

[b]Appearance: Rasheck stands at a lanky 6' 8" with medium length straight black hair. His clothes are rather on the baggy side in an attempt to hide his height. He has a pointed face with high cheekbones-one could almost picture a fox face in it's stead- and piercing green eyes that shine fluorescently through his hair that he keeps swept across his right eye. His complexion is clear and almost waxy, and his tone is just as white as the bandanna he keeps around his neck.

[b]Personality: Rasheck is a quit listener, he keep his feeling and emotion wrapped tightly up inside of the walls he has built around himself. He has an inquisitive nature but tends to suppress it due to the fact that he knows knowledge is irreversible. He often sits alone and reflects on his past and his knowledge, wishing he could forget all of the things that he knows now.

[b]History: Trayphord Rasheck Mcallister and Shaylene Taylor Goodwin met on a sky pirate ship as captives. When the ship was overrun by a surprise ambush by a band of Ninjas, Trayphord saved Shaylene from the violent chaos and they escaped together onto the ninja ship. They became part of the crew and were soon married. Within the month Shaylene was with child. The decided name to be Rasheck Calvin Mcallister, after both his father and human grandfather. Rasheck grew up on the ship as part of the crew, learning fast and working his way from the bottom up. On his twelfth birthday his ship was attacked and both his parents were killed in the mayhem. He was watched and guided by the master assassins until he was no longer of apprentice age. He now Moves between Ninja Ships at his leisure, welcomed equally at each one as a feared and respected professional in his field. Silent Infiltration.

Name: Siavash “Sia” Nameh
Age: Twenty-five.
Race: Alien.
Alliance: Ninja.
Rank: Ninja.

Appearance: Siavash is slick, everything about him seems high gloss. He’s lean, tall (6’4”), and his corded muscles are hidden perfectly, only showing when he lashes out. He has a scissor bite and sharp, fang-like teeth to go with it. His eyes are like those of a cat’s and work in a similar way, but with a bit of fox to go with it--that is, he can use whatever planet’s magnetic fields to help him sort out ‘hidden’ agents. As long as he’s standing in the right direction, of course. As for looks, they’re almond-shaped and copper. His hair is ticked, like a wild rabbit’s--dark at the tips, pale oatmeal at the base--and his skin is mottled camel, natural camouflage (at least on his home planet). Black claws are always at the ends of his heavily-muscled hands’ fingertips. Otherwise, he appears fairly humanoid. His ears can rotate and he always lands on his feet, but he’s bipedal and looks close enough to nearly pass. The odd bone structure and thin lips and nose are there, but he clearly has a few human ‘leaves’ in his family tree. See, his people weren’t always so human, but they shared enough DNA to be able to breed with humans--not always willingly, but they did. Exotic pets, taken and sold by pirates for their ease. After all, they were able to withstand extreme cold--the sort often found on pirate ships. Heck, even their coloration can change with a good temperature shock. Lastly, he tends to wear dark clothing, dark browns or midnight blues, and he enjoys throwing knives--or using his hands or teeth--when it comes to weapons. After all, he is a carnivore.

Personality: He’s whip-smart and can think on his feet. He’s wary of new situations, but he judges them efficiently and cautiously. Of course, sometimes he gets called a ‘scaredy cat’, but he leaps right into fights when it’s required of him. He’s petty, holds grudges, and is fairly meticulous. He isn’t exactly prone to kindness, and he’s absurdly selfish. He’s honest to a fault, however, and didn’t mind letting Nym poke into his head--he didn’t have anything to hide. The whole reason he became a ninja was to hunt pirates, and for the clean-cut reason they stole two of his older sisters and his aunt. He wants to claw pirate throats out--and what better way than to become a ninja? And his species suits that so well, also. They’re kindly called death on legs, counted as one of the most murderous races. It was immensely bad luck most of the other species on his home planet Bastia, were of the avian sort. On the other hand, he’s not overly fond of humans and doesn’t enjoy being pestered or bothered with anything other than work normally.


History: He grew up in a small, yet high-tech village in Bastia with his family--grandmother, mother, aunt, sisters, and younger brothers--and his father, a soldier, would drop by on occasion. When he was ten, his village was raided by pirates, two of his older sisters and his aunt captured and taken, never to be seen or heard from again. He didn’t talk for a year after that, but eventually he ‘opened up’ again--as much as a Bastian can--and become a working member of society. However, he didn’t feel like he fit in, didn’t feel like he’d done enough to respect and honor his sisters Anai and Khor, so when he was offered a position with the ninjas, he jumped at the opportunity. He stays in contact with his family, checking up on their safety, and they dislike that he wandered off planet, but most male Bastians move far from home, so they deal. His mother wishes he had his own harem like a proper Bastian, however.
