Balthier

I soon find myself standing at the beach overseeing everything, Rayah and Jace were kissing, Nick and Jackie were talking. Everything was perfect, I looked out to sea as I watch the perfect sun set on a perfect day. Water washes up to the souls of my shoes as I can feel another pressence stand right beside me.

"You've done well my son." The woman said.

"Yea, I have, haven't I?" I said.

"Yes you have, keep up this work and soon enough you shall have a woman of your own my son." She said.

"I hope you keep to your promise mother, for even your sons hurt when yu deprive them of a woman for so long." I said.

"I shall keep to my deal I had offered you, you keep to your work." I said.

Nothing more was said, she disappears as I allow everything to happen. This was only the first step, down a long winding road for me.

Jace

She pulls me down to the sand with her and I smile, chuckling.

She kisses me before I can screw up any further.

"I accept your apology," she flashes a smile, "And I'm sorry too. And I Uh... Love you too."

I study her, still slightly in shock from the kiss, and flash a smile back.

"Uh...okay then," I blink a few times, "You..you don't have to say you love me if you don't. I'm freaking weird like that, so I fell pretty fast. But...you don't have to."

Rayah

I pull back, flashing a smile, and kiss his cheek, "I love you too."

I glance down at my stomach, happy we'll have kids the first year of our marriage, and then at the ring, still smiling, "It's beautiful, Jay."

Jackie

I shake my head, "N-No, I meant it..." I admit, "I just didn't know until now."

Jace

I smile at her and kiss her cheek, "Just like you."

I study her, wondering if a non-Avalian human could possibly love someone after two days like she says.

"Um... Don't take this the wrong way," I find myself saying, "But... could you prove it to me? It's not that I don't believe you...well I don't, but that's just because it doesn't seem humanly possible that you could and, well, I'm not human so it's different for me and I just don't know."

Rayah

I smile and blush, "Thank you," I lean against him, brushing the sand out of my hair with my hand.

I study him, "How can I prove it to you?" I ask.

Jace

I smile back and tighten my grip around her, burying my face in her neck.

Oh sh*t. You see, I was hoping you wouldn't ask that question, 'cause I honestly have no clue whatsoever.

"Uh...." I think, "Well, you're the smart one, come up with something. I don't know."

Rayah

I giggle at Jace and watch him while glancing at the ring at the same time.

I sigh, "I'm not Rayah. I don't do romantic stuff. I don't know how to prove I love someone," I take a deep breath, thinking,

Jace

I smile at her and close my eyes, kissing her neck.

Nic

I think again, hating how we're stuck right back in confusion lane. The vague aura of an idea comes to me and I say the hell with it, setting a hand on the side of Jackie's face and drawing her near.

"Don't mind me," I whisper, "I haven't a clue as to what I'm doing right now."

Rayah

I giggle again and close my eyes at well, still leaning against him.

He draws me closer.

"Don't mind me," He whispers, "I haven't a clue as to what I'm doing right now."

I smile and shake my head at him.

Jace

I take a deep breath and flash a smile at her giggling, "Let's stay out here tonight, Ray. Just you and me."

She smiles and shakes her head at me, leaving me to smile back before softly kissing her.

Rayah

I nod, smiling, "Yeah. Lets do that," I tell him, keeping my eyes closed.

Jackie

He softly kisses me and I close my eyes, making it last. I twine my hand with his as we kiss, feeling something warm and nice inside me...love?

Jace

I smile and nod, kissing her neck before moving to set my forehead against hers.

Nic

She closes her eyes as I do and twines her hand with mine as we kiss, leaving my other hand to tangle in her hair. The void that had been in my chest when she left overflows with emotion now, something ice cold and fiery hot mixing at the very center. Goosebumps prickle over my skin and my face flushes slightly, a flicker of a smile dancing across my lips.

Holy sh*t...I guess I wasn't kidding when I told her I loved her.

Rayah

He moves his forehead against mine, and I keep smiling, twining our hands, "I love you."

Jackie

His other hand goes through my hair and I bring myself closer, something inside me melting. A sensation takes over, filling my very being with emotion and warmth. He smiles and I can't help but smile back.

I think I'm proving it.

Jace

I keep smiling and quickly kiss her, "I love you too."

Nic

She brings herself closer and smiles back at me, never once showing signs she wants the kiss to end. My head clouds before blanking and I smile once more. Then someone stomps on my foot and I pull back, crying out a little before swearing. A little kid bolts down the path and I jam my fist out, creating a light wall before him for him to run into. Once he does, falling to the ground in confusion, I look back at Jackie and flash a smile, my foot throbbing.

"What is it with kids these days?" I ask before resuming the kiss.

Rayah

I bury my face in his chest and keep my eyes closed, sighing.

He leans in again after the inccident and I chuckle a little, letting the kiss go on again. I set my hand on the side of his face this time, leaning back in my seat.
