Jace whispers something in my ear and I stirr again, crossing my arms over my stomach.

Jackie

I nod and wave before closing the door behind me and walking into my room and to my closet, figuring out what to wear.

Jace

She stirs again and I sigh, kissing her ear before wrapping my arms back around her.

Nic

I turn around and bolt into Jace's house, finding Alyx and jumping up and down excitedly.

"Hey, hey, hey, I need a favor from you," I say.

He watches, amused, and chuckles before nodding, "What can I do for you, brother?"

I smirk.

"I need you to keep a portal open for me...at least for two hours," I say.

He thinks about it before nodding, "Just don't bring anyone back who didn't go with you."

Rayah

He kisses my ear and wraps his arms around me. I mutter something in my sleep, "I-I can't..."

Jackie

I dress into a short, red, summer dress. I put on pure red lipstick and black converse to go with my dark brown hair. I sit back down on the couch and turn the T.V on in wait for Nic.

Jace

I study her as she sleeps, wondering what she means,"You can't what, Rayah?"

Nic

Alyx lets me go home quick and I change into dress casual junk before hopping back to Olympus and waiting until it's time. Once midnight rolls around, I head across the street and knock on her door, hiding the rose I'd gotten for her behind my back.

Rayah

I stirr again, "I-I can't do it..."

Jackie

Nic knocks on my door and I gather my side bag before slipping my phone in it and walking to the door. I open it and flash a smile, "Hey."

Jace

"Do what, baby?" I whisper, "What can't you do?"

I smile at Jackie and bring out the rose, "Hey."

Rayah

I squeeze my eyes shut, still asleep, "I-I just can't...I can't fight..." I cross my arms over my stomach tightly.

Jackie

I see the rose and I smile, taking it from him and bringing it to my nose, "Thank you."

Jace

"Shh, Ray," I kiss her eyelids, "You don't have to fight. It's okay. You don't have to fight."

I smile and offer my hand, "You're very welcome. Ready?"

Rayah

I nod, "I-I have to fight, I have to," I barely whisper.

Jackie

I smile and take his hand, "I'm ready."

Jace

"Why, Ray?" I ask, "Why do you have to fight?"

I smile and lead her back through Jace's house, stopping before the portal, "When we get down there, close your eyes for me, alright?"

Rayah

I don't answer, flipping on my back again, and loosen my grip on myself.

Jackie

I swallow, "I have to jump down that?"

Jace

I watch her before sighing and laying back beside her, setting a hand on her stomach.

You don't have to fight, Rayah. Not anymore. Let that be my job.

I flash a smile and squeeze her hand in assurance, "S'okay. It's kind of like a slide. It's fun."

Rayah

I sigh in my sleep and yawn, relaxing.

I study him and squeeze his hand back, "You first."

I study her before closing my eyes, sighing.

I smile and shrug, "Promise to jump right after me?"

Rayah

I wake, finding Jace next to me. I flash a smile before closing my eyes again and wrapping my arms around him.
