Gemini Lazarus

I get the reminder about the dinner were having and slip my bracelet around my wrist and get up out of bed, and follow Ronan and Kei behind keeping a good few paces behind them. we enter the dining hall it was filled with bunch of other people that had been at the camp or just arrived. I see Lacie who was sitting with her snake and run over to her, leaving Ronan and Kei behind. I took a seat near Lacie.

"Hey Lacie how you doing?" I asked happy to see her again.

Lacie

I see Gem and my face lightnes. "Hey!" I smiled. Ivy slithers back up to My arm and I sigh, letting him roam around on my hand instead.

"How have you been? I haven't seen you since that war." I asked, turning back to her.

I'm switching to first person as I noticed most of the posts are in first person.. Maybe it's easier? I'll give it a go anyways. Expect mistakes though, it's my first time.
Also, L? If something's wrong with the way I've written out gemini, please tell me, I'll change the post.

Solstice

I watched as the boy who had caused the commotion earlier on was dragged off. I've been here for a year, but I still could not get used to Sooth or the way he talked. No matter how sentient he may have seemed, I was sure there was something very, very wrong with the guy.

As he was escorted away, I saw a pair of siblings - the elder one must've been my age - being led to another area of the tent. I turned to follow them, but I noticed Sooth speaking with the corner of his mouth. I was close enough to catch a few words - "...little talk with Gemini..... over dinner along with the others... And if she acts up again, eliminate.....insubordination in an army. I plan on running the first combat practices later this week."

The last words were what chilled me to the bone. Eliminate Gemini? This was supposed to be a refugee camp! I shivered, and decided to warn her beforehand. Lucky for me, I spotted her sitting next to Lacie when I walked into the hall. The two new boys lingered by the entrance, unsure of themselves.

"Gemini! Thank God I found you before they caught you! Listen, you need to be careful. They're planning to eliminate you if they can't control you."
Gemini looked at me like I was whack - maybe I was - but as a friend and fellow mutant, I had to warn her.
"What are you talking about Sol? This is a refugee camp, not a military base. Though I've never really liked Sooth to begin with.."

A group of gaurds on patrol passed by, and I put my hand over her mouth. Lowering my voice, I replied "I don't trust him, Gem. He's upto something, and I don't like it."
She laughed and said, "I don't like him either. Either ways, thanks for the warning. I'll watch out... I guess." With that, she turned back to Lacie.

Ilooked around to see the two boys staring at me.
"Hey, I'm Solstice. People here usually refer to me as Sol, though. You guys are Gem's new roommates, right? Come on, I'll show you where to go. you can sit by me if you'd like." I said, smiling at the younger sibling.

Kei

All these people were looking at us and i tightened my grip on Ronan's hand. My bunny was in my other hand, and i gripped it tightly, barely feeling the dagger, to be reassured. Ronan was being bravev, trying to keep my spirit up. A girl walked up to our roommate and said something to her. I tilted my head as if to get a few words. The only word I got was army.

My insides froze. Ronan looked at me and I shook my head.

Gemini Lazarus

I get up and wave to Sol and Ronan and his little brother, as there faces light up.

"Hey come sit over here more than enough room!" I yell to them.

They come on over and take a seat at my table and we begin talking left and right, Sol sits next to me and Lacie as Ronan and his little brother sit across from us.

"Ok so this is Lacie and this is Sol, and they been my best buds for like a war's age. Sol, Lacie this is Ronan and his little brother Kei, were roomies and I was hoping to get a room all to myself." I pointed to them respectfully as I went on.

Lacie

I flash a smile at the little boy. "Hey, buddy." I chuckled. I caught him staring at Ivy. "Don't worry, he doesn't bite. Promise. You can handle him if you want?" I asked, taking Ivy off my fingers.

I glance at Gem and Sol. "Oh and Sol is my roomate. If only you could room with us Gem." I flashed a smile.

Kei

Ivy was interesting. I'd never saw a snake in real life. I reached out my hand before Ronan jerked it back. He shook his head and I frowned.

Ronan

Gemini has us sit at her table, which I'm not to sure about, and introduces us to her friends. The one girl has a snake. Kei tries to touch it but I stop him, my heart leaping in my throat at the possibility of him being bitten. Shaking my head, I send him a look and study him. He seems a little off.

We'll talk later, I say with my eyes.

I look around again, gently releasing his wrist. A few images flash through my mind and I take a deep breath to calm myself, storing them away for further examination.

Solstice

I watched as Ronan jerked away Kei's hands. I smiled at the elder sibling and said,"Don't worry, Ivy doesn't bite. Not unless you're evil. He's got nothing to be afraid of. Neither have you."
I gently took Ivy from Lacie's outstretched hand and she wrapped herself around my arm in friendly familiarity. I took the litle boys hand in my own, ignoring the sharp intake of breath from Ronan. "Go on, you can stroke her if you like." Gently, hesitantly, he did as I said.

Kei

I cautiously outstretched my hand. When I neared, I hesitated, afraid. Ignoring it, and deciding to finally be brave, I stroke Ivy. Ivy shivered and I giggled.

Lacie

I flashed a large smile at the Kei. Vines wrapped around my rists and I sigh. Ivy hisses friendly and I chuckle. "He's my favorite snake out of all the ones I have. You can have one if you want. Or one of my birds." I smiled. I whistled and my bird, Snow came and landed on my shoulder. "This is Snow."

As people talked my thought's returned to Sol's warning, was Sooth out to get me? Maybe it was because I fried one of his shadows earlier, not like it mattered. I was sure by now he sent one to watch me and I haven't seen it yet. And my friends did they have one to? Sol and Lacie? I know I fried the shadow following Ronan and Kei, but they could have sent out another one on them by now. It became hard to think with the increase in noise as people talked louder and louder over one another. This was becoming like my school's lunchroom on a friday. And finally Sooth, what was he up to? If it's anything I never liked him from day one since I first came here and haven't been allowed to leave since.

"Damn it Sooth! What are you up to?!" I think.

Ronan

Sol has him pet it anyway and I look away, disliking how he went against me like that. Then Lacie offers him her bird. I glance at her, the animal, and then Kei. A bird? As much as I want him to be happy and to have a childhood, I don't want him becoming too attached to something. I have a bad feeling about this place.

"If you want it..." I finally decide, looking down.

But I can't have anyone think I'm a hardass on such a sweet kid.

Kei

I get to get a bird. I giggled and almost cried.

"I would love to have it!" I giggled happily accepting the bird. I was stroking it when it suddenly became quiet.
