What They Call Us

2020 - The FDA came out with its own drug, a serum they believed would build up the human immune system enough so that contracting the simplest of diseases and illnesses would be near impossible. Passing through animal testing with no problem, they began to carefully select the perfect, hundred-something human specimens to host the drug. The numerous subjects were selected based on medical history and status in society, wanting to cover all the bases. They hoped for the serum to work as gracefully on the subjects as it had for the lab rats, and it did for a time...

After its release to the public, those who consumed it began to go through certain side effects. Headaches led to increased brain capacity, and numbness led to power over electricity...

Things had changed forever.

Plot:

It is now 2025 and those who had taken the drug are now referred to as "mutants" and have been outlawed. Those who can manage to escape to refugee camps set up by experienced, over-eccentric, power-hungry "mutants" who want nothing more than their own army to rage against the ones who created them. One camp, though, is worse than the others. A man who goes by the name of Sooth runs it and has every intention of breeding his stock of frightened mutants into a full scale rebellion force, his plan already in tow.

On the run once more, the group of mutants once part of Sooth's camp have set up a system of their own. Because of their psychic's prediction, they've begun training for the fateful day that they will face Sooth again. They want to be ready for the inevitable.

Sooth, who has joined forces with the American government, is in furious search of the group and all other mutants for that matter. The second Holocaust has begun. .

Obviously, you will play a mutant in that particular camp, though you do not have to start off already in it. Each mutant will have one power, and those powers will be left up for you to decide.

As for ages... The serum could have been used on a wide range of people, leaving a gap in the ages in this storybook. This being said, there is still a limit. Please don't make your character any younger than 7 and no older than 36. Sooth, who will be left open as the main plotting character and the one in charge, will be the very oldest out of them all, 37.

Reserving female refugee

Name: Kei West

Age: 8

Gender: Male

Power: Kei is able to control his blood and his enemies blood. Kei uses his own blood to make weapons like a scythe, chains, and other weapons. When Kei is desperate, he takes the risk to try to force all the blood out of his enemy. The risk is that if it fails, he can pass out for a long time, go into a coma, or die. He also has a tiny bit of psychic powers like Ronan. He uses his other senses, but sight. When he has sight during a vision, something is about to happen to someone.

Personality: Kei is young, but he likes to be around his friends. He really likes to joke around, but sometimes it gets out of hand. His power is doubled the more he is injured. His weakness is a little mark on his collarbone that is barely visible, if it is struck, he is knocked out. He has now got multiple personaly disorder.

History: Kei doesn't remember much from before he was injected. All he remembers is that he was always protected by his older brother Ronan West. When Kei received his power, a sword materialized in front of him in a dream. The sword lets him take a little blood from his opponent when he strikes them, and then it takes time for the sword to process a blood poison.

He was turned against Ronan when he was being controlled by Sooth. He doesn't remember much what happened in the time he was undercontrol. Ever since then, Kei has started to change, become less like the normal Kei, and slowly becoming similar to Sooth. Ever since he slipped into Sooth's bloodstream accidently, he hasn't been the same. Ronan has to keep a close eye on him, cause Kei starts to sneak off in the middle of the night.

Other: He is also the younger brother of Ronan.He isn't up for love since is he young. He carries a katana. The blood on the blade will glow when the poisoned blood is finished. The bunny he always carries was given to him by Ronan when he was still little. One night, Kei made a cut in it and slide a dagger in it. He uses the dagger to cut his wrist, since his katana is in his wrists, just as blood. Whenever he cuts his writst, the katana materializes.

He sleeps a lot now, since the encounter with Sooth's heart. He can't think straight anymore, his head is always fuzzy. Ronan has to keep him awake, fearing his death in his sleep.

Personality: Ronan is calm and relaxed most of the time, making sure he's strong in front of his little brother, but is very protective and loyal to him as well. He likes it when Kei, his little brother, jokes around and how he keeps his childish qualities after everything that happened, and also likes it when it's quiet and enjoys the nighttime. He doesn't like it when Kei refuses to listen to him, or when he's not taken seriously because of his age. He hates being underestimated. His strengths are the simple fact that he knows most of what is to happen and his emotional and physical stability. His weaknesses are his tendency to worry for his brother and his distrust in people.

History: His parents decided to vaccinate he and his brother when Ronan was twelve, right when the serum came out. At the time, his father was overseas in the military, while his mother was wasting away with cancer. After realizing what it could do, Ronan tried to save his mother with it, only to end up speeding her death. The outlawing came and he took his brother and ran, having not heard anything from his father in years. They heard about the refugee camps and set towards them.

After his brother was almost turned against him twice by Sooth and the camp was burned down, he and the other mutants set out for safety. Dark visions clouded his mind and he decided to keep most of them to himself, only telling Gemini of the one speaking of their confrontation with Sooth. He joined in the training with the others, but kept mainly to himself while his thoughts wandered and more glimpses into the future hit him. Soon, he was over absorbed in what he saw, withdrawn and almost constantly seeing something.

Other: Ronan is up for love. He carries around a pair of small handguns, preferring guns to swords unlike his brother.

Personaility: Loves to be sadistic and crazy is able to take leadership when needed, not willing to back down from a egotisical mutent like Stooth she's quick to find ways to defy him unless paid off to stop.

History:She was captured after using her power's in public her power's, she was brought to the camp to make use of her as a generater but became to risky since she overload's and ends up blowing out the camp lights and electricity. She is healed if hit by any type of electricity. She also begins to loss power quickly when not in a powered area. And due to her numbness in gaining her power she doesn't feel pain very easily, but she has a lot of control over her power and is not very easily beaten in battle if someone were to fight her. After escaping the camp with the group in tow, Ronan had told Gemini of what he saw, she nodded in understanding and began training furiously for the fated encounter with Sooth, when she would need to kill him.

Other: Is up for love but takes a strong man or woman to endure her wrath. She is also closterphobic unable to handle in close spaces, she also weilds a two handed sword, but can use it with one hand.

Over time her hair has straightned and darkened. Her blue eyes melted to black. In her hair, sometimes there are vines out of habit.

Personality: (include strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes): She is very calm and outgoing. She is fragile and serene, liking to stay outdoors. She's very calm and gets along with lots of people. Cries easily and gets hurt easily. She never ever let's anyone hurt her friends. She isn't afraid to use her powers. She might seem just like a little thing but has a temper as vile as a dragon. When she gets mad or sad, nature starts to die. Over time, after meeting Sooth, she's not as hard to convince, and only likes to stay near people who can protect her and nature.

Age: 37

Gender: M

Power: He exudes an (undetectable, I speak metaphorically) aura that makes him naturally likable and charismatic, more so than what he already is.

Appearance: Sooth's tall, around 2 meters, with black hair and eyes, pale skin, and rocks a pencil-mustache with all the charisma that is an inherent part of the personality. He constantly wears tasteful khakis and a shirt, with a not-so-tasteful lizardskin belt.

Personality: He's suave, soft-spoken, elegant, charming, charismatic, and above all, deadly. He loves having his own way, classical music, and good food. and dislikes insubordination, rock music, and being proved wrong. He always looks for an opportunity no matter what happens. He's actually a nice guy, when he's not trying to kill you, that is. Referred to as his men as 'the good-mannered Hitler'. However, he has a mind like steel.

History: Sooth was raised in a rich and ambitious family, from which he was schooled, disciplined, and so on. He eagerly took the drug, and never regretted the consequences. However, it did leave him with a burning hatred for the 'weak', thus his crazed bloodlust.

Age: 25

Gender: Female

Power: Empathy – can feel and manipulate others’ emotions.

Appearance: She is tall and slender, with green eyes and straight brown hair cut to her chin. She tends to wear calming pastel colours and flowing styles.

Personality: Roe is a quiet, motherly woman. She isn’t a very good fighter because of the many emotions coming at her from her allies and enemies. She likes to listen to Brahms, Beethoven, and Taylor Swift. She hates anything where people get hurt, including, fighting, gossip, and Bugs Bunny cartoons. However, she knows that sometimes someone has to get a little bit hurt to teach them a lesson, to avoid getting seriously injured in the furture.

History: Roe was the eldest girl in her family, so she ended up often babysitting her younger brotherr and sister when her parents were away, because she rarely knew where her older brother was. Through all that, she managed to have a fairly quiet childhood. She married her highschool sweetheart two years after graduating, and when mutants were outlawed, Roe had to leave behind her husband and infant son.
