What They Call Us

We're not all as fast as you, Ita.
We're getting to it, relax. After all Sol did collapse before Sooth gave the order, Atarin, Lacie, Roe and Ingrid being the only other mutants in the tent. The others were outside, remember?

Solstice

I woke up again, feeling as if an elephant was rampaging in my head. Looking around, I realized we were in some kind of storage chamber. Smoke could be seen curling under the door, and the other mutants had collapsed one by one, some resting together. I coughed, inhaling the acrid smoke, and bent close to the floor. Seeing as I was the only one alive, I knew I needed to do something, and fast.

Closing my eyes and trying to fight the headache, I imagined a wrecking ball and gas masks. All of them appeared, and I crawled over to each mutant, placing them over their faces, and taking care to tighten Kei and Ingrid's masks. I noticed Atarin's shoulder bleeding when I placed his mark, but I could do nothing about it.

Once I was done I climbed into the wrecking ball and aimed it at the walls of the room, making it collapse. Once I had managed to drag everyone out, I collapsed, the strain of projecting and creaing that many things weighing too heavily on me. I caught a glnce of what it was like outside a second before I collapsed. Everything was burning

Lacie

Everything happens so fast. Atarin gets shot. I kneel next to him and set a hand on his neck to check his pulse.

"Are you oka--"I start to say something but I get dizzy. I fall to the ground and nature starts to die.

Gemini iis still in the tent, and now I'll have her act as the guards begin to attack. I'll also add a link later for a youtube video that has a VGM that would work well with this current situation.

All hell breaks loose, the guards begin attacking everyone. I hop on top of the table and conjuer up a huge storm of lightning, I start firing and taking out guards left and right mainly taking out the ones with the gun's. I hear a shot go off and turn to see the guy who caused the inferno previously go down Lacie near him, I shot another bolt of lightning taking out the guard. I fall to one knee as the smoke begins to get to me, I see Sol come over a gas mask in hand. I put it on and check for anymore guards, there gone and so was Sooth. I cused myself silently, I run out of the tent checking quickly for more guards, and then bolt off for my tent or room or whatever. I get int the tent and move the bed and grab the blade Sol made for me, and slash around taking down the tent. I surprise a few more guards and take them out with lightning, I hurry back to my friends and start taking out the huge tent with my sword cutting it down and letting air into it.

"Everyone we need to get out of here! NOW!" I yell to everyone.

Ronan

I smell smoke and hold Kei closer as he cries.

"You won't be left alone, I promise," I tell him.

I stand and head away from the camp, shielding his mouth and nose from the smoke with the jacket I wrapped around him. Some of the others run and I catch Roe and Ingrid before they can get far.

"S-stay with him, please," I beg, "I-I have to go back for our bag. Please. We need it badly."

Despite the protests in his eyes, I set him before a tree and leave him in safe hands. Turning back, I bolt towards the tent with my room and snatch the bag just as the fire reaches the area. I slip out, lightly blanketed in smoky soot, and sling it over my shoulder before spotting Sol on the ground. She looks hurt, unconscious.

I glance quickly around for Gemini before scooping Sol up and heading back to Kei, hoping that everyone else would make it out alright.

Kei


"S-stay with him, please," Ronan begs Roe and Ingrid, "I-I have to go back for our bag. Please. We need it badly."

"Ronan!" I cry out, but he doesn't hear me. I cry, feeling like I'll be alone again. Roe kneels beside me, trying to comfort me. There's another gun shot, and the bark of the tree beside my head explodes just as Ronan comes into view. I collapse to the ground, shaking with fear.

Roe

Ronan left Kei with me and Ingrid while he ran back to get his bag. Neither of them wanted to be seperated, I could tell. As he disappeared into the smoke, I thought, "There must be something awefully important in that bag."

Kei looked like he was about to chase after his brother. I knelt beside him and took hold of his shoulders "You're not alone. Ronan's coming back," I assured him. I projected every bit of calm and love that was in me onto him. I noticed Ingrid was standing beside me, shifting nervously from foot to foot, and I gave her some, too. I managed to calm all three of us down to a level of functionality.

A bullet struck a tree not three feet away, and Kei collapsed back into fear. I scooped him up in my arms and ran. I glanced over my shoulder to make sure Ingrid had sense enough to follow, and Ronan was emerging from the smoke, running after us. The grey winter sky was painted orange with flamees from the camp that had housed me for the last few months. I buried my face into Kei's hair and pushed his face into my shoulder to protect our eyes from the stinging smoke as I ran deeper into the forest.

Ronan

As I flee from the camp, a gunshot pierces the air. I speed up, having difficultly with Sol in my arms, and think of Kei and only Kei. The smoke begins to curl inside my lungs and itch at the back of my throat, urging me to stop and cough. I keep going, breaking out of the ashen mist to find Roe and Ingrid running with Kei.

Another gunshot rings out and I wonder who it could be. Wouldn't powers be more useful? Get the job done better instead of shooting blind? The lack of common sense in people amazes me.

I don't stop until Roe and Ingrid do, dropping to my knees and setting Sol aside. Out of breath, I allow myself to cough, my body shuddering at the action. Once I'm done, I glance up and hold my hand out, signalling Kei to return to me. He hesitates, confused, before squirming from Roe's arms and bolting into mine. I hold him close, catching my breath, and look at the two girls.

"Is everyone alright?" I ask. "No one was hit?"

Gemini Lazarus

Ronan runs out not seeing me, I see Lacie and the guy out on the ground. I dash over them, I sling Lacie over my shoulder and pull the guy with one hand. I finally make it out of the tent just as it comes down, I let go of them as I fall to the ground from exsaustion. I hear Ronan and call out for him needing help with these two.

"Ronan! I need a hand back here!" I yell to wherever he is.

*wow, this is what I get for moving haha. I'm just gonna jump in here*

Ross:

A girl, Gemini I believe, was yelling for the help of Ronan. She was with two others, both unconcious. I'd seen Ronan run to the woods with the others.

Lifting my t-shirt to cover my mouth and nose, i ran over to them.

"Can I help?"

She eyed me, said nothing.

"Listen," I explain quickly, "My name is Ross, i'm new around here, and i'll admit I don't talk much. But my power is strength. I could get you all out of here"

She stood, nodding with approval. I grabbed the girl and hoisted her over my shoulder firefighter style. When I grabbed for the guy, pulling his arm to hoist him up, he groaned, bringing my attention to his injured shoulder.

"You'll thank me later, man" I mutter, slinging him over my shoulder.

"Let's get out of here!" I yell to Gemini.

Ingrid:

I'd figured out Sooth wasn't really on my side, but by the time Roe and I switched sides, it was too late. I sat with Roe, stroking her hair, braiding and unbraiding it.

Gemini and Ross came running in, coughing, out of breath. Ross had Lacie and Atarin slung over his shoulders. When they stopped running, Ross carefully set Lacie and Atarin down.

Looking around, I asked everyone "Is this everyone?"

Ronan

I hear Gemini call my name and stand, still holding Kei, but don't have the time to reach her. She comes tumbling into the clearing with a guy carrying Lacie and another guy.

"Is this everyone?" Ingrid asks.

I look around, then look to Gemini for the answer. She had been at the camp longer than I had. She would know.

Lacie

The smoke got to me and it was destroying nature. I opened my eyes slightly and coughed, everything blurry.

"Wh-What happened...?" I ask, in a completely different place.

Gemini Lazarus

I look around and do a quick head count, Ronan, Kei, Sol, Lacie, Ross, Ingrid, Roe and finally myself. But I still shake my head in a no. Because there were other's at the camp besides us, other mutent's not just us. But I didn't know there names I'm sure a few were killed if not a lot of them, because of the sudden onslaught of guards.

"This is everyone that was in our tent at the time the guards attacked. But there are some dead mutent's, I know that for a fact some were caught off guard and killed by the guards." I said.

"But we need to get away from this camp, the further, the better." I said.
