Atarin

I stood with a curse, readying myself to implode the air if necessary. I had only been here for a night and I could see already that this place was full of darkness. I lifted my heel and pulled my lighter from my boot. The group, including Lacie, who was fighting, looked up in horror.

"What are you?" I shouted at the icy presence. "And what is going on here?"

I turn to face Sooth's dad and I cant help but have my jaw drop. "Holy...." I muttered, looking away. Vines made their way around my ankles and rists and I kept guard just in case anything happens.

When the temperature dropped, I could feel myself passing out immedately. My head started to droop, as did my eyes.

"Kei! Wake up!"Ronan shoued just before i passed out.

Kei passes out again and I swear under my breath, trying to wake him.

"Kei! Wake up!" I call.

In an attempt to, I carry him to the furthest corner of the room and wrap my jacket around him, rubbing his arms to keep him warm.

"C'mon, Kei," I call. "Wake up."

The presence stays silent, mocking our helplessness. Lacie's eyes turn yellow, probably part of her mutation, and a small boy passes out before my eyes. His older brother yells desperately for him to wake up and drags him into a corner, covering him with a jacket. I decide to act.

Hydrogen and oxygen. Water vapor creates more hydrogen and oxygen. Reaching for my powers, I click the lighter. A roaring inferno engulfs half the room before snapping out. A fine mist of water freezes in the still-cold air. A mirthless chuckle breaks the silence. I try again, drawing more gas from outside the room. The lighter clicks. The whistle of a hydrogen explosion nearly deafens me. I blink to clear my eyes. Still, the presence has not left. I draw argon from the air and, banishing the remaining oxygen to my side of the room, send the dense impalpable gas to surround the source of the festering sensation, hoping to suffocate it.

Lacie

I can see Atarin doing something and I start to feel a little scared.

What's going on?!

Sooth eyes me and I swallow, shaking my head. I slide next to Atarin and hide behind him, feeling something. Some kind of spell clicked off me and my eyes turned back to the sky blue. I glance around, Sooth motioning me somewhere. I swallow and shake my head, feeling like I want to scream.

The chill in the air was freezing, it chilled me to the bone like I was out on a cold winter's night back home. But I wasn't, someone else who I hadn't seen before causes inferno's with just his lighter. I made note of him believing he cause aid me in my plan's, then I look at Lacie who had gone over to the guy causing the inferno. I see Sooth silently call Lacie to his side, but she refuses him. What happened I don't know, but if Lacie was back on our side, I was all for it. I slip on over to Ronan and sit by him as he tries to wake Kei, what happened to him this time I don't know.

Gemini sits at my side, arms crossed from the cold, and I shift Kei to one arm. Still holding him close, I bring my other arm around Gemini cautiously. We're both slightly shivering and I can't help but try and change that. I swallow and avoid her gaze, unsure of how she feels on this. Slowly, I draw her closer and closer until we can feel each other's warmth.

"This...T-this d-doesn't bother you, does it?" I whisper, teeth chattering a little.

Looks like Sol didn't get to use her moves. XD
Sorry guys, I was out of the house for the entire day, I just returned. I hope this is alright Upz.

Solstice

Befor I could so much as hide to pull my trick, Sooth introduced his dad. The undead body of his father stared at us through an inky mass, that chilled the room.

A new guy I didn't recognize, (OOC: This would be Atarin of course) Lacie and Gem spun around to face Sooth. The new kid tried something, sending flames blazing over the other side of the room, and trying something we couldn't see. Whatever it was allowed Lacie to snap back to herself. I saw her eyes change color from venomous yellow to her normal sky blue.

She refused to go when Sooth beckoned to her. Looking across at Gem, who was being hugged by Ronan, I could see the relief in her features. We had Lacie back. I allowed myself a little smile, and then slipped in front of the entire group, and bent down, kneeling on one knee. I closed my eyes, imagining the presence was gone from the room. I looked up, and noticed that he was still there.

Before I could close my eyes for another go, I noticed something else. Roe and Ingrid were still on Sooth's side of the room. I pushed myself up, and ran over to Gem. Whispering urgently in her ear, I brought the two mutants on the other side of the room to her attention.

Ronan put's his arm around me, I smile and lean into him to help shhare his warmth. I take a deep breath trying to keep my teeth from chattering, at least we'll stay warm.

"This...T-this d-doesn't bother you, does it?" He whisper's.

I shake my head no and move a little closer, that's when I see it right where Sooth was sitting, a man comes though the wall and stands next to Sooth. He could have been a clone for all I care, because his father, who you would have imagine be pushing up daisies or be seriously old. Was looking young and powerful, but I knew he was only taking on his form when he was still in his prime. Sooth's father was a full body ghost, I made note of how this could play into Sooth keeping control over the camp, we had to do something about this thing, but what?

Sol comes over to me quickly whispering urgently into my ear, bringing Ingrid and Roe to my attention. I nodded in acknowledgement of the two. Knowing it was going to take some work to get those two on our side.

When Sooth's father's ghost appeared, I grabbed Ingrid and pulled her over to the wall. Everyone in the room was scared of the ghost. I had to shield Ingrid from a couple of explosions using my own body. I didn't know where the explosions came from, I figured it might have been from the ghost itself. Ingrid didn't seem fazed by any of it. Why did he bring this thing here? Hatred for Sooth grew like a poisonous foam inside of me, and I snarled in his direction.

I hear the tall man asking Lacie to come to him, but she refuses, hiding behind me. Her eyes have turned back to their normal blue.

"Who is that man?" I ask her urgently.
"His name is Sooth," she replies, her voice betraying that she is on the edge of panic. "He runs this camp and he has some sort of charming power. Don't listen to anything he says."
I expand the argon gas cloud to include him. The heaviness of the gas might influence his power, as it not only suffocates, but also slows the speed of sound. I touch Lacie's wrist and extend myself to catalyze oxidative deamination of some of the adrenaline clouding her thoughts. I use her own ATP to fuel the reaction, so it costs me nothing.

The other mutants start trying to fight the presence.

Atarin touches my rist and I gasp, "Wh-What are you doing?" I ask. Sooth tries to control me again and I look away from him, panicking inside.

Vines wrap around my ankles and I look at the ground, shaking.

The ghost dude moves closer and I scream a little bit, feeling a little dizzy.
