Nicholas was spotted. He had needed to observe her, watch her, to see if she was the subject. He thought now would be the time to talk.
"The name is confidential, for certain purposes. I need to talk to you though. Refuse to speak, and you will die."
He stumbled slightly, the limp in his leg still there. He dared not to look at the place he used to call home. He could feel the heat from the fire, the fire that he himself had ignited. He blinked back tears, as he limped away.

Michael-

"I'll see you 'round Lex," Michael said calmly, slowly and rhythmically breathing as he walked away from her.

It was a well known fact that most people with powers were extremely susceptible to the effects of alcohol, which was likely the reason why the headmaster let the 'parties' continue. Students could, in a relatively controlled setting, gain some resistance to alcohol. Sometimes it was funny, like the first time Heather got drunk. But mostly students were just hurt. However, if it hadn't been for the schools powerful healer some students would have died after these incidents.

Luckily, Michael didn't drink much of the punch, a few more sips and he might have lost control of his powers. Not many people saw him go quietly over to the corner and sit down, and even less cared with the alcohol entering their systems. He leaned against the wall and slowed his breathing even more, going into a slight meditative trance that all the students were taught. But before Michael could really enter the trance someone called out to him in a voice that chilled him.

Dopeler Effect: The tendency of stupid ideas to seem smarter when they come at you rapidly.

Confidence: the feeling a person has before he fully understands the situation.

*I'm going to jump ahead several hours so that the captives can post. Also, for those on the rescue team be warned, your work is cut out for you.*

Zaine Draxon: Two hours later

It was the plane taking off that jolted Zaine out of unconsciousness. As it leveled off the straps restraining him retracted with a mechanical hum. Groaning he reached blindly for the bucket he knew was there and heaved into it. His body rejecting the combination of alchohal and sedative.

"Why am I on a plane?" He wondered. Memory returned to him in a rush and Zaine's head jerked up, instantly taking in his surroundings. From what he could see small cells made of some clear material lined the room. He spotted Heather and Emma in the ones near him and several other slumped bodies.

"I see you're up already. You always did have a high tolerance for the drugs." His head whipped around at Jaden's comment and he glared silently at the other boy.

Jaden chuckled. "You're already doing it again Zaine. You say nothing, simply glare your hatred at your jailers."

Zaine turned his back on the man, his worried gaze landing on the girls. How long would it take for them to throw off the drugs? How would they react to Jaden blocking their powers?

*If anyone wants to they can just make themselves one of the filler captives.*

"The name is confidential, for certain purposes. I need to talk to you though. Refuse to speak, and you will die." The intruder said. I quickly put on a robe as his words registered. I quirked an eyebrow and weighed my options, I could just shut off this guys senses or I could hear him out. I walked over to him and seized him up. He was much bigger than me but that just meant that if it came to blows he would fall harder.
"Alright," I said. "speak."

Hi Pixie2, I'm sorry but we've already started this SB and it's moving pretty fast.

If you really do want to join, your going to have to make up an inventive way to getting into our current story line, so I would read the last 8 pages or so.

Your character would also need a bit of work, Selene needs some more about her personality and she also needs to reduce her powers a lot, as we have no God Characters in this SB.

PM me for questions and comment in the DT if you are still interested.

Heather

Heather woke slowly. Everything was heavy, her head felt like a train wreck, her eyes weighed downwards and she had to make a consigned effort to get them to open. At first all she saw was metal, and plastic. Thick straps over her arms and legs. She struggled instinctively, pulling the straps even tighter and she cried out as one cut into her shoulder.

The air hummed, the floor moved and jolted too and fro beneath her feet. She started to panic, nothing made any sense. Think, what happened?. The memories where blurry; running after Zaine, heavy hands grabbing her, confusion and fear. But where was she now?

She was in some kind of cabinet, and there were others outside of hers, lined in rows, like jail cells. She spotted Emma, the girl from the mixer immediately, but she was slumped over unconscious. Panic started to rise in her throat. Her senses where coming back now, and everything was starting to become real.

"Help" she whispered. The sound of her own voice surprised her, it was husky and unused. "Help" she shouted again, louder "Get me out of here, where am I?"
Heather started shaking her straps again, digging even harder into her shoulder but she didn't care. She banged on the glass loudly, but no one came "Help!" she was screaming now, her breath coming out in gasps.

Then her eyes caught hold of someone in the corner. Someone in a cell similar to her own. Zaine, his golden eyes searching out hers. She stopped screaming and just stared at him, waiting for an answer. Why are we here? She tried to mouth, What's going on?
Everything has been figured out, except how to live.

Heather's yelling pulled Emma from unconciousness in a way not unlike someone being dragged out of deep, dark water by their hair. Both people come out gasping and with headaches. Emma was worn out, a time when her power would be at its most nagging, but she still couldn't feel the familiar, constant press of her power in the back of her mind like she had for the last two years. She knew she should be relieved not to have to worry about controlling it, but she just felt kind of empty. For better or for worse, it had become a part of her, and without it, she felt somewhat lost.
When Heather's yells for help cut off so immediately, Emma was frightened and opened her mind. She saw Heather in the cell next to her, staring at the boy, Zaine. The light stabbed at Emma's eyes, and she groaned. Heather turned to look at her.
"Where are we?" Emma asked, though she doubted the girl knew. What Emma really wanted to know was why they were there. Like she expected, the girl shrugged in reply.
"Are your powers gone too?" Emma asked. Heather's brow furrowed in concentration.

I sat up swearing softly in Italian a language I had picked up from one of the spirits. Everything felt like it weighted a ton even my head ached. I opened my eyes and then started to swear louder realizing that I was in a cage with glass instead of bars. Then I froze. I couldn't hear spirits anymore. "Elizabeth, Emily, Arnold, Samantha, Ron!" I called out in fear. None of them came. "You're wasting your time." A calm and cold voice said. "You underestimated me." I replied then I punched the glass hard ignoring the darkness trying to drag me back into sleep. "I don't need my powers. I don't rely on them" I snarled punching at the glass futilely. "Serra give up it won't break." Emma said softly. I punched again and felt my anger and remaining energy drain swiftly. I slammed a foot into the glass causing it to shake and I swore again this time under my breath. I sat back on my heels glaring at the direction of where the voice had come from.
"You are without a doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of."

"But you have heard of me."

Zaine Drxon_

Jaden laughed softly before putting his head phones back on and closing his eyes. Head tilted back against headrest. Zaine wasn't fooled by his apperant obliviousness he would lay odds on their being camera's around here somewhere.

He swore softly and gaze flicking from one girl to another girl. Frustration boiled and he punched the wall, wincing as knuckles cracked against the unforgiving material. Zaine slumped down on his cot. "I'm sorry you guys. This is all my fault."

He looked at her. If she decided to fight him, he was not sure what would happen, because she undoubtedly had powers, and maybe some of them could kill him. He surveyed the room for silver. None. He was safe. She seemed small enough, and if her powers were weak enough, he could easily obliterate her. Now to proceed to the questions. If she could not answer any of the questions correctly, she was not the target.
"Have you ever killed someone?"

Another girl woke up, swearing in a language Emma didn't understand, though it sounded Italian, and punching the glass wall. Once she had tired out, Zaine took a turn punching the glass. Then Zaine spoke.
"I'm sorry you guys. This is all my fault," he said.
"How is it your fault?" Emma asked, her quiet voice even softer than usual, "You didn't kidnap us." Heather nodded in agreement.

"Have you ever killed anyone?" He asked and automatically I froze. My bones locked, my breath shortened and I even think for a moment my heart stopped.
I couldn't stop the tears that were forming in my eyes as I remembered how I had killed the love of my life. Jessie Davis. I looked up at the stranger im my room with blurry eyes. Do I immobolize him and run or did I pulled on my big girl panties and face the truth? That I had killed the person who took me in when I had no place else to go. Granted it was an accident, it was still murder. I still wanted to find out what this guy wanted. Why he had come to Tarragon College? Why he had followed me to my room? Why he had threatened to kill me if I refused to talk to him. I sucked in a big breath, wiped the tears away from my face and answered. "Yes."
