*Whoops sorry about that, I was a little too engrossed on thinking what to write than the names and seemed to have mixed the genders accidentally. Hehe, sorry    *

**And the answer to your question depends because Daniel is a unisex name, hehe, sorry again    *

Zire

The ground shook beneath me. I was one of the first to reach the ground, Kitrina and several others fell down a few seconds later.

I could tell that the earthquake was not natural as soon as it refused to stop after the first few minutes.

Then suddenly as fast as it had started, it stopped and we were surrounded in silence, broken a few minutes afterward by the sound of the cat mutant purring.

I stood up slowly, careful not to collapse on top of anyone else.

Azul

I was taken by surprise when the earthquake struck. I did not know what had caused it but I knew that I would soon find out. Something or someone had triggered the earthquake. Most probably the savior who had gone searching for Akira, Daniel. I knew that he would be no match for Akira unless he was a water purifier, but still, having the ability to cause an earthquake was indeed a very special ability.

I had managed to keep standing as many of the saviors fell onto the ground. Burns was one of the few that had a good enough footing to stay upright.

I decided to wait and see what the saviors decided to do to their innocent and clumsy hostage.

*okay?*
*Guys? Anyone? Hello?*
**Silver, we need new orders from you...?**

Korri managed to keeps his footing as the ground shook. "What the hell?" He asked no one in particular. Reaching down, he helped Calli up. "Everyone okay?"

There was a chorus of "good" and "I'm okay" and Korri turned back to the mutant. Chang of plans apparently. They needed to find Daniel and Akira, and soon.

**Sorry so short! I've got homework that needs doing, and a mother that won't give me just five more minutes.**
Llama 1:"Shh! Do you hear that? That's the sound of forgiveness."
Llama 2:"That's the sound of people drowning, Carl!"
Llama 1:"That is what forgiveness sounds like; screaming and then silence."

*You're fine, Firestalker!*

Daniel

I climbed up as soon as the earthquake started. I struggled in what I thought was the direction I came. It was shuddering so hard, I couldn't see where I was going.

Suddenly, the earthquake stopped. I sighed with relief, walked a few more paces, and promptly fell into a ravine.

I scrambled for a handhold, finally gripping a small knob of stone.

"Don't look down," I muttered to myself. I looked down.

Huh. this was the first ravine I had seen without a river in the bottom. This one had a lot of sharp rocks, though.

Then the earthquake started again.

"Damn! I can't get a decent sized earthquake for the life of me and then suddenly this one's too good!"

I struggled to retain my grip...

Kitrina,

Earthquake had completely taken her by surprise, and she lost the gathered energy particles. Standing up again, she waited until the other saviors decide to do something, but they haven't even stood up yet.

Making the decision, she ran as fast as she could through the path she so Daniel go. She was the only who had seen him go.

Sweat started to dampen her armpits and her urgent need grew more. Breathing hard, she ran through the forest.

Half way through she pointed her hands outward and silver energy particles flew into her hands, forming two spheres.

Just as she neared a clearing of the forest, another earthquake came, making Kit loose her balance a little. But she went on and saw the hazy form of a girl looking down into something that looked like a ravine.

Something told her that this girl was not a good person to be confronted, even if it was a savior.

As she heard Kit's footsteps, she turned around. The moment she turned around, she changed to Zire.

Kit faltered a moment,

'I'm sorry Zire' She thought

Kit sent the energy ball at her, which hit her partially on the side of her stomach. She lost her balance, and fell in the ravine.

Kit knew that she did not fall, but was hanging there.

Making her way over to the ravine, she looked down, and was surprised to see Daniel hanging onto his life there by holding onto some rocks. But what surprised her was that he was holding onto a person who Kit knew was named Jacks.

She knew that she did not have the strength to pull both of them up. She could see the desperation and fear in Daniel's eyes, but strangely, she could not spot the other person who fell into the ravine.

Knowing she needs help, she bent down and whispered,

"I'll be back, just hold on, okay?"

She turned around to run back.............

*Umm, C? What just happened? I don't get it... well most of it... well a little of it, yeah*
*And seriously, this storybook's going to die if the plot does not advance forward, no one (At least I don't) knows what to write next. I'm guessing that's the reason everyone's posts are short. Is there a DT of this storybook RedBird?*

*I'm obviously not RedBird, but maybe we could all go to the river and find some secret cave with something in it that would inspire us to attack the mutants directly. I don't know, though, I'm just throwing around ideas. I guess we should wait for Redbird's decision. *

*Ermm... until I know how Jacks got there, I won't be able to post. Is it supposed to be Akira, changing form again to trick kit? I'm sorry, It just wasn't that clear to me. :? *

*Seems to me that that's the only sane explanation that can be taken from C's post so, yeah I guess Akira changed into Jacks*

>>>No, I don't have a DT for this storybook...And, sadly, I have no idea HOW to set one up. Can someone tell me or do it? Tazakk?
Yes, we do need to get the plot moving. Here's my idea, although it would require Silversun to post: the Saviors get all back together, safe, for the moment. However, Commander Blackwood starts amassing her forces near their camp, then we can have another battle scene, which really determines whether the Earth will be saved or not. Sound OK?<<<
And remember...A portkey can be any sort of harmless object...A football...or a dolphin.

**Okay, sorry I haven't posted in a while guys. Been a bit busy.

Akira

She clung to Daniel, crying out for help. These were real cries, real calls for help for she did not wish to die. She did not wish it to end so quickly. In the form of Jacks, she held onto Daniel, hoping that he believed she was a Savior. Her malice had made her reveal herself, but the mistake could have cost her her life.

But her grip was weakening. She couldn't hold onto him for much longer. He seemed to be confused, staring at this new image of a person, confused if she indeed was a savior or not. He didn't trust her, and she could tell that he was growing weaker also. If it came down to it, Akira knew he would knock her off and send them both to their demise.

She snagged her one foot onto a rock, and searched desperately to place her other one. The longer she waited, the better the chance that she would be in the bottom of the ravine, a crumpled dead form.

"Get off me!" He yelled at her, eyes squinting obviously thinking that she wasn't what she appeared to be. She needed Korri to come. Korri would be the only one who would protect her and believe her.

Daniel screamed in pain because obviously, the weight of her was stretching his one arm that was able to do anything. She called for mutant plants, hoping that their roots would reach through the ground and make a platform for her before she was thrown off.

"You monster!" Daniel yelled once more, finally shoving her off of him and she lost her grip. And she fell, a scream escaping her lips, but it was not her voice, it was Jacks. She wished to be herself for just these mere moments, for these last moments of her life.

Clips, flashes of memories. Swimming in a pool, setting records. Seeing her smiling family look at her, proud. Holding her younger brother in her arms. Being utterly human. She was a monster, truly. She had forgotten about her humanity, she had lost it somewhere in her malice and greed. And now her life was as good as finished.

Falling in the image of a human, in the image of humanity, she cried out for help, any help at all that would stop her from her death. The bottom of the ravine was getting closer, the hands of death calling for her, begging for her life which had escaped its grasps years before.

------------------

I think that idea sounds good, and I can set a DT up for you. I am also thinking that this fall will kind of change Akira and she will change alliances. I plan on killing her off, but not know. But I think she could reveal the way to defeat the mutants and even infiltrate the mutant base to fight the commander. The reason for this change is because she realized that her malice and greed was only brought on because of her loss of humanity. It was to be human that she wished most of all to be and she would realize that that won't happen if she kills them all. I think she will empathize with them, and the idea could add a fairly good plot twist. ;)

I really can't understand why all of you didn't understand my post.

Read,

But what surprised her was that he was holding onto a person who Kit knew was named Jacks.

She knew that she did not have the strength to pull both of them up. She could see the desperation and fear in Daniel's eyes, but strangely, she could not spot the other person who fell into the ravine.

And I wasn't planning on this happening to Akira. She's supposed to be really agile and could climb up the ledge on her own.

If I'm not taking this storybook anywhere and is just making everything mix up, I'll quit and someone more able could take Kit's character.

Calli

This was ridiculous. There had been tricks, mutants and earthquakes, and yet we hadn't attacked yet. I couldn't take it any longer.

Unscrewing the cap on the canteen the bald guy had given me--I still didn't know his name--I pulled the water out of it. It looked like a melting scimitar, but I knew it wouldn't fall apart unless I let it. I left it hovering in mid-air only briefly, my actions veiled from Azul by Burns and the big guy in front of me. The water turned to a bow made of ice with a hot-tipped arrow, but the two didn't work against each other naturally. The bow wasn't too brittle, but the negative temperatures were burning my hand and numbing my fingers. I had one shot. It was risky, but somehow I pulled it off, although I hadn't had the slightest clue how.

The boiling arrow whizzed directly between Burns and the defender and I heard a surprised grunt as it embedded in Azul's shoulder. He hissed angrily and the defender whirled around, an eyebrow raised in confusion.

"What?" I asked, struggling to keep a smirk from my face and managing to suppress it to a small smile instead. I peered past Burns and the defender and saw the arrow was no longer in Azul's shoulder, but his clothes were drenched and he had a murderous look in his eyes. "I forgot. Kitties don't like water," I said, flat out smirking at him. That seemed to make him even angrier.

Oh goodie, a peeved feline. Just what I wanted for Christmas, I thought sarcastically as the water from the bow streamed back into the canteen.

*Okay? It's all I could think up right now.*
**Ooh, and I like your idea, Incongito! :) **

I gave up telling people I hear voices. So now I talk to the voices instead.

>>>Chirantha, please don't leave! Kit has made a huge contribution to the plot, and we still need her, written by you!<<<

I hear a sickening thud, and then Azul hisses. Then I hear Calli behind me.

"What? I forgot. Kitties don't like water," she says in scathing tones. Azul snarls.

"You'll regret that,"

I decide to play along, "Yeah, we're all terrified, Azul." He snarls and runs off into the woods. I turn on Calli.

"That was extremely foolish, Calli. It cuts our already short time in half."

"He deserved it!" Calli says.

"That's not the point, Calli. Many people deserve things that they don't get, good or bad. No, now we've got to worry about what those actions will have caused."

No, it's not that you didn't succeed. You accomplished a lot, but, if you want to touch people, don't concentrate so much on rhyme and metre. Think more about what you want to say instead of how you're saying it.
