Awesome, new YWS ain't on school lock any more! Hope you don't mind me setting up a school dynamic for Conor and Cara, just due to him being so different out of costume, I figured she might dislike him.

Conor/Marrow

I sat in the back row of the room, I saw Cara creep in and sit next to a friend, and me. We never really got along in school, she thought of me as a slacker fool who needed to get a life beyond the circus. I thought she needed to get the pole out of her ass and learn to have a bit of fun.

"Um Mr. Ainbinder, I have a question," I said just as C Ara entered the room. He turned around and spotted Cara sneaking in, and I smiled.

"Cara, you know to be on time. I am marking you tardy," Mr. Ainbinder said. And then looked at me. "Your question Conor?"

"May I use the restroom?" I asked.

"Very well, but hurry."

I got up and went to the bathroom, catching Cara giving me a hateful look as I went., I shrugged and smiled at her and went on my way.

Java

Shit I thought, running up the corridor. I am so late. Laina and I had got to school at our usual time, just as the bell rang for first period. But I'd got a bit distracted at my locker, running over names for the metal bird in my head. Then I'd worked it out, Metal Canary!
Of course, just as I worked this out, I realised I was already ten minutes late for my lesson, and it would take me another five to get there.
Just as I got there, Conor walked out of the room. He smirked at me and I glared back. I was not in the mood. I opened the door and stopped Mr. Ainbinder mid-flow.
"Java, how nice of you to join us. Do sit down. Oh, and take a tardy mark for the effort."
I ignored the sarcasm, muttered sorry and dropped into my seat. A girl in the front row turned and waved at me, her blonde hair flicking outrageously. I rolled by eyes and sat back in my seat. Next to me were Kara and Cara, both kind of quiet, both kind of messed up I guessed. I sighed and started to listen.

Cara/Death

Cara glared at the guy just leaving the class - Conor. He was a pain, and had it in for her. Well, she thought, I don't exactly like him either. However, Cara had a straight A average, and tardies didn't look good. She shook herself, remembering that she wasn't supposed to care anymore. Sometimes she couldn't help forgetting - and then it came back in a rush, and she felt guilty for allowing herself one moment when she didn't think about Rose.

"Hey, Java," she whispered. "At least someone's later than I am."

It came out more spitefully than she had intended. A new girl, another Kara, looked up from her place for the first time, glancing warily across at Cara. Cara merely nodded at her, smiling faintly.

Java

Jesus! Did everyone have it in for me today? I turned around and hissed at Cara
"Oh, good. So glad I could help you. Y'know, if you need anything else, anything at all, just ask me. Say, you don't hand in homework, no worries! I won't hand it in either, and to top it off, I'll swear at the teacher too. Just for you."
"Java. Are you listening?"
I turned back to the front. "Yes, sir."
I heard a noise to the side, but didn't look round, hey, I was pissed. I was tired of school and petty people. I felt that the only place I belonged was with Death and my fellow heroes. But then again, it had been a crappy day so far.

Cara/Death

Cara flushed red at Java's outburst, but her embarrassment quickly turned to anger. She was so weak! Death was strong. She wished she could be Death all the time, and not have to trudge through this half-life every day.

But the others can't be superheroes all the time, either, she suddenly thought. So where the hell are they?

Cara leaned towards Java. "Look, I didn't mean it like - "

The look he gave her cut her off: a mixture of pity, irritation and anger. She obviously wasn't helping. She caught the new girl's eye again as she turned back to the front, but this time, she didn't smile. Java's mood was catching.

Mel

Mel grinned as she peered out of the common room windows, her sharp eyesight quickly focusing on a gloomy looking Nick making his way up the corridor. She waited until he had just shuffled past the door before bursting through them and tugging him into the empty room.

"Whaa-"

"Shh," she laughed. "I'm ditching Social Studies and I'm pretty sure Mr. Thompson is looking for me. Wanna ditch with me?" she grinned, not waiting for answer but instead tugging Nick over to the coffee machine and sitting on the counter, observing him as her grin died. "Why so sad Nick?"

He shrugged, shoving his hands into his pockets with a mumble. Mel's grin suddenly appeared again. "Hey, we got a pool table. Let's play a game, I've got some money." She bounded into the next room, a slightly bigger one with a shelf of pigeon holes for pupils to store their things. Several chairs lay scattered around. In the middle of the room stood the brand new pool table, the wood shining in the morning light. Mel put a coin into the slot and then set the table up, ready for a game.

She threw Nick a cue and saw that a shadow of a smile was appearing slowly on his face.

"I'll break," Mel grinned before leaning over the table to take her shot.

Java

Not a moment too late, the bell was ringing and class was over. Beside me, I saw Cara packing up quickly and running for the door, I ran after her.
"Cara, wait!"
She turned around slowly, facing me with a dead look on her face. "What?"
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so rude, guess I'm pissed with the world today."
Cara smiled then, shyly, and I felt something, I wasn't sure what, but I felt it.
"That's ok, I wasn't too nice either."
I grinned back, feeling like a total idiot. What was wrong with me?
Abruptly, she turned and walked away. I was left in the corridor, still trying to work out what I was feeling.
"Java!" I turned and saw Laina.
"Hey." I said and began to walk away.
Then it hit me. Recongnition. I knew her.

*I don't know if you want me to figure it out or whatever. But I thought it might be a good plot development if something like that starts to happen?*

((Yep! I was just going to post to suggest something like that happened. Unfortunately, I can't post properly right now, since it's a school night. I'll get on tomorrow afternoon. If you want to just carry Cara along though, it's fine. Java can raid her locker if he wants, though I doubt Cara would be dumb enough to leave much there... Still, you said he'd be the sort of guy who'd pursue an identity, right? Anyway, better go before my iTouch dies. :)))

EDIT: Unless he recognized Laina? May have misread the post. xD

(( I will. But I wont post until others have 'cause that is totally spamming up the story. Maybe raid her locker on impulse *plots storyline*
By the way, we need others posting?

((I've already PMed everyone once. We should have a full set posting. It's easy enough for people to jump in! We've slammed the thread a lot, but I think so far we've only concluded that the team name is Justice, so feel free to post, silent ones. And yes, Aqua, maybe leave it until we get some other posts.))

Dalia/ Mistique

I ran down the halls as fast as I could. I had already been late to first hour, and if I was late to second I would get detention. I was sprinting around the corner and smacked head on into a girl going in the same classroom.

"Oh, uh sorry. My fault," I flustered as I picked up the papers and sorted them.

"I'm alright. Just slow down a little next time please!" she said.

I grabbed my books annd started to head in but she whirled me around, saying, "Didn't I see you early this morning? Like, before school?"

I shielded my books in front of my face. "Um, no you must be mistaken!"

I quickly pulled away and ran inside.

*Anyone can jump in*
I will review for you! PM about it if you need one!

Nick/Mynah

Nick smiled slightly as he caught the pool cue. "We could get in a lot of trouble," he said as he chalked his cue.

"Yeah, we could." Mel took the shot and stood up straight. "Are you worried?"

"A little."

Mel laughed. "You've got to loosen up about breaking the rules, Nick. You'll never have any fun that way."

You have no idea, he thought, smile growing as he leaned over the table.

Kara

Kara watched as Dalia ran off. She's kinda odd. She thought. She considered following her, but decided against it. She has a right to her secrets. Someone touched her shoulder. She spun around, her hands raised in a defensive position.

**EDIT: Chupatoasta, check your inbox please. I sent you a PM about a week ago and you haven't answered yet.**
