((Nick/Mynah's free to be friends with whoever. It'd be pretty ironic if he were unknowingly fighting against the people he hangs out with at school as a villain.))

((WARNING: I will not be able to get on tonight or tomorrow (might be able to sneak a post in tomorrow night though...) Feel free to plug my guy in somewhere if you need him. Don't feel obligated to though, just... if you need him, I'm fine with whatever as long as you keep him pretty much in character))

Sunday, the 13th. I want to give people another day to get ready and maybe glean a few more members before we start. Is that okay for everybody? You don't mind waiting?

Nope, maybe we could use the time to sort out friendships/rivalries/romances in real life, or as superheroes? Does this thing have a DT?

Hope my spot's still there! Got room for a guy? ;)

Real Name: Christian (everyone knows him as “Chris”) Star

Superhero's Name: Smokefall

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Appearance: He has short, curly strawberry blonde hair that feels a little like wire. A bright smile and green-blue eyes with a ring of dark blue around them. Dark circles lay under them, and th ebeginning of bage from staying up so late. He stands at 6’ 1”, his teeth are beige, and pale skin. Pretty good build. He has huge problems with acne.

Costume: Mask. Cloak/cape. Shoes. Shirt. And just plain old black pants.

Personality: He laughs all the time, cracking jokes and enjoying the puns of others, but it all seems a bit fake. Often his gloom powers get to him and he spends hours alone, trying to get out of his funk. Socially inept around women, he acts really stupid when he gets nervous.

Powers: Shadow manipulation, just basic control of the dark, but that lets him control how light or dark your vision is.

(Hope this is okay, let me know if something needs changing.)

We start on Sunday 13th, i.e. tomorrow. The characters will be sitting in their headquarters discussing a name for their team of superheroes. Everyone can post to have their input in that. To discuss what the headquarters will be like, please head over to the DT. Any villains, it's up to you how you crash the party.

Kara will make friends with Dalia, but she's recently come into this town, so they'll have to meet first.

Sorry this is so late. If anyone has a problem with this power, PM me. Personally, I think it has enough disadvantages to make it work, but if it's too much, say so. Also, if anyone wants to discuss friendships, head to the DT rather than here! Thank you.

Name: Cara Halfpenny

Superhero's Name: Death

Age: 16

Gender: Female

Power: Cara is immortal. Yes, immortal. However, this isn't to be confused with cellular regeneration, which is otherwise known as the accelerated healing that characters such as Wolverine are envied for. This is the kind of immortality zombies have, where injuries do not heal at all, but cause no pain. Cara's body is constantly decaying, though she is aware that she stopped aging at 15, when she was caught up in a serious car crash. Her younger sister was killed, a burden Cara has carried since; as for her, the doctors lost Cara's pulse momentarily before they resuscitated her. Since then, Cara's immortality has left her blood all but solidified, sticky and brown, and her heart very slow. She breathes a lot less regularly than a normal human.

Appearance: Cara has cropped mouse brown hair, which she streaks with blonde. Her eyes, once a watery blue, seem to have darkened to almost indigo since the accident. Cara wears long tops and long jeans in an attempt to cover up the many cuts she has from previous incidents. These include a slashed left knee from a failed mission as a superhero, causing her to walk with a kind of limp; two cuts across her wrists from a suicide attempt; several minor cuts and bruises on her arms from trivial things like scratches from thorns; a gash across her left eye, hidden by dark shades; and a deep wound from a stabbing, again from her superhero days. This was before Cara gathered the team - back when she worked alone.

Costume: Death wears a black unitard, again to cover her injuries, and a leather jacket over the top of that. She has thigh-high black leather boots and wears a black belt too, where she stores her throwing knives. For her mask, Death chose the simple balaclava of an executioner. All of her costume is scratched and worn from too much use.

Personality: At school, Cara was very popular until her accident. She was happy-go-lucky usually, and didn't have much to complain about. After it happened, she became withdrawn, and it was soon after that that she decided to go alone as a crime-fighter. Now, Cara is generally alone, though some of her old friends still look out for her. Cara hates to get close to anyone, because she feels that they can never know who she is, really. She keeps well away from guys, generally, though she was friends with a couple before the car crash. Cara tends to be pleasant to talk to, but she never talks about herself anymore and says little if she can help it. She's very intuitive, and tends to judge people within five minutes of meeting them.

Death has a sense of irony, hence her chosen name, and is the founder of the little superhero group. She's has an air of mystery about her, and few of the team members challenge her. She doesn't assume a position of leader, and in fact rarely talks at all, but fights with gritty determination. Death has a penchant for just that - death. She constantly has to be restrained by her teammates, because she's ready to take anyone out without hesitation. They think she enjoys it, that she's sadistic, but Death is more concerned with the strange envy that rattles her brittle bones as she feels a criminal take their last breath. She likes to be with them when it happens.

Death's reckless, because of her ability. She runs into fights against anyone, hence the amount of injuries she has. As Cara, though, she's very sensible and does her utmost to keep out of harm's way.

Weapons/Skills: Death carries several throwing knives and is skilled with them. She can hit from a range of several metres. Cara's also a brilliant liar, and enjoys lying about her identity.

Other: Cara's up for love, but it will be a very difficult process. She's yet to explain the full implications of her powers to even her team, let alone a significant other. Also, Cara prefers her name of Death to her real name, and so she has never struggled with her identity as a superhero. Her problem is being Cara, not being Death.

Jetpack, I think that'll be ok. You might have to restrain it a little (so, she doesn't fight 10 people alone and come out fine) and maybe have restrictions, like if something got cut off could she regrow it? But it should be cool :)

She's not going to fight ten people at once. This isn't one of those storybooks where the main focus is the fighting, and besides, I think the team will be likely to restrain her so she doesn't murder anybody. Well, nobody else will get limbs cut off, so Cara won't either. Most of her injuries are from her time alone, whereas now she is a bit more restrained. Anyway, further discussion about this at the DT, if that's okay?

((Okay! We're finally starting. There's a list of characters on the front page if you need to look. Every hero's in the HQ, discussing the team name, and the villains - you guys have no base, there being only two of you that I'm aware of. You guys are probably more likely to be skulking around outside, trying to work out where the base is. It's late, or rather, early morning, so there's little chance of a proper fight. It's more likely for you guys to clock the base and scarper, because you need to get ready for school just as much as we do. And, er, sorry for the double post, and the length, but please read this!))

Cara/Death

She could see some of them felt uncomfortable. Were they still so self-conscious in costume? Death hugged her boots to her body, relaxing on the tattered old armchair the team had salvaged from the dump. She, at least, felt at ease with her balaclava covering her face, with every inch of her hidden but those deep blue eyes. This costume took away the last of the girl who had been Cara and made her truly, and only, Death. It was a welcome change.

Death surveyed her team with a blank expression. There were nine including her, but she hardly spoke to some of them. Next to her sat Falconstrike, opening her mouth as usual to put in her penny's worth. That girl was one of the most irritating creatures known to man, and Death knew, even watching her, that once she'd been exactly the same. Falconstrike represented the old Cara, and Death hated the old Cara.

Lume, weather manipulator extroadinaire. Angel, elemental. Marrow. He was one of the few team members Death respected; he took things seriously and he was powerful, too, but even Death knew not to force him over the top. Yet sometimes Death had caught snippets of conversation - about demons, hell, fear and control issues - and she wondered how long his position in the team was going to last.

Electrum, the newbie. Death had yet to give her the formal introduction. She made up her mind to do so when the rest of the team had finished babbling. Mistique, another serious member; she was smart, that one, and a welcome asset. Smokefall, shadow manipulator, a dark soul beyond his cheery exterior. Yet another member Death had hardly spoken to.

Suddenly she caught Flux's eye and looked down. Had he been watching the whole thing? Then, Death remembered who she was and raised her head again, meeting the gaze head on and locking eyes with him. Everyone in the room suddenly fell silent.

"Death," Flux said softly. "What do you think the team name should be?"

Death swallowed, and once again she felt like Cara was seeping back into her brain, making her weak, making her vulnerable.

"I have no opinion, Flux," she snapped. "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet."

Rose, Cara thought. Not now, not now! Rose was gone.

Rose was dead.

((I tried to mention everybody! Give you all a chance of replying. And Rose is Cara's little sister, who was killed in the car crash, if you missed that. Please try to read everyone's posts, even if they're rather long, like this one. It confuses things if you don't.))
