((You can have her run into Mynah if you want. Whatever best suits the story))

Mynah

Mynah sighed a little as Canary took off. It was a little odd that a creature that could turn into any animal, sort of, wouldn't realize what his name was alluding to. Mynah birds were experts at mimicking noises. Not as good as he was of course, but they hadn't been hit over the head with enough radiation to kill a small army.

"I'll see you then," he said quietly. He really needed to head home, but he didn't want to go back to being Nick Johnson, not just yet. He sat down on a box and closed his eyes, just listening.

**Metal Canary doesn't do her homework. Laina does it for her though! :lol:**

Laina/Metal Canary

Laina sighed as she flew. It felt so good, the wind that is, even with the metal plates protecting her body. Tucking her wings down at her side, Laina free fell down about one hundred feet before opening her wings to their full wing span and dipping back up into the sky. She let out something between a squawk and a sigh and turned her head slightly, her red eyes locking on a hawk that flew a few meters away.

With a malicious smirk Laina shot higher into the sky until she was flying between the hawk and the sun, turning her head so the sun gleamed off the large plate atop her head, shooting the rays right into the hawk's eyes in Laina's attempt to momentarialy blind it.

(Yeah, Metal Canary is mean like that. Aqua, if you don't want it to be Java, then just ignore this an it can be a random hawk)

((Actually, you know what, Buggy, why not? But it'll be a glance and go kind of thing, I think. Is this all okay? Tell me if it's not, I'll change it.))

Cara/Death

Death strode out into the open, sunlight momentarily blinding her. She wished she'd worn a watch, because it was clear she didn't have much time to get back. She broke into a run, taking the shortcut round the back of the old warehouse, knowing that few of her team were likely to follow her round.

She ran quickly, but it didn't stop her peripheral vision catching a glimpse of a figure sitting on a cardboard box, just inside one of the nearby storerooms. Who was that, and what was he doing so near the base, this early in the morning? She'd had no time to clock a face, but he was wearing a suit of some sort. Was that a costume? Wait. No.

It couldn't be him.

Cara's fear took over and she moved from a jog to a sprint, remembering her early days as a hero and cursing aloud as she fretted. Had he seen her? Would he recognise her? Did he remember that she had been the one to put a knife to his throat, during their first and only fight? Did he remember his scream, knocking her out with the shock-wave? She sure remembered waking up, looking for him and finding no trace of anyone. She'd never even learned his name.

Had he seen her?

Java/Flux

The sun blinded him, almost causing him to fall from the sky. He looked up and saw another bird. Metal? Metal?!Well, it picked the wrong guy to deal with. He started to fly towards it, but then saw the sun. He had to get home, it was way too late for this. Groaning in fustration, he wheeled around again and, wings heavy with fustration, flew home.

Marrow/Conor

After the whole team name discussion, which I didn't see a real point in, I left with the others. I slipped my hoodie off, leaving just my sunglasses on my face, and began to walk away from the others. It was beyond me how they could wear those costumes, my hoodie and glasses hid my identity fine. To each is own though. My destination was to an old parking garage right near the hideout, I used my powers to make a make a skeleton key for it, and kept my car in there. No one ever came in, yet it was supposed to be owned still. No complaints from me though.

I crammed my hoodie and glasses into a bag, and put them in my backseat, and then drove back home in my Jeep after that. When I got home, I saw my mom and dad had left already, so I pulled into the garage and hurried to get my school stuff.

Kara/Electrum

Electrum hurried home, being careful to stick to the back alleys. She turned right and was on her street. She reached her house with no delay and peered in through a window. The living room was empty, but she knew her dad would already be awake, and getting ready for work. She went around the side of the house, where a apple tree grew out of the ground. She climbed up, sending leaves and apples cascading to the ground. Under her window there was a power cord. She laid her hand on it, allowing some electricity to flow into her body.

She climbed up the rest of the way and crept into her room. After changing into her day clothes, she sat at her desk and finished her homework in a short half an hour. Her dad hadleft for work, and her mom was asleep, as was her younger sister. She then got her shoes on, put on her backpack, hurried downstairs, grabbed her lunch out of the fridge, took an apple from the fruit bowl, and headed out the door, stopping at the end of the street to wait for the bus.

Laina/Metal Canary

Laina screeched with glee when the hawk flew towards her and soon turned around. It had obviously been to scared to fight. Laina chuckled and flew towards the ground, shifting to her human form right as she hovered five feet and six inches above it. She hit the ground with a light thump and dodged into the small, shaded place between her house, and her best friend, Java Stone's. She snickered to herself, still remembering earlier when she blinded the hawk, and slid through the first floor window of her house, taking the stairs two at a time until she reached her room.

She changed quickly, pulling on a multi-colored checkered shirt, a pair of of boot-cut jeans, checkered Van slip-ons, and her thick rimmed glasses. She smiled cheekily in the mirror, fixing her hair, and finally put in her colored contacts, her metallic eyes turning blue.

Laina ran down her hand, slapped her middle-school brother in the cheek to wake him up, and finally ran downstairs and next door, banging her fist frantically on Java's door. Mrs. Stone opened the door, her eyes drooping with sleep and hair up in curlers, and Laina's eyes grew wide. "He'll be down in a minute." Mrs. Stone growled irritably, Laina feeling back for waking her up as she bit her lip.

((That's great, Jetpack. ^^))

Mynah/Nick

He looked up as soon as he heard footsteps. A dark figure shot across his vision before Mynah could get a good look. Looks like Canary and I were right. This is where the heroes are gathering. Hopefully that person didn't notice me. A rueful smile crossed his face. He never thought he'd find himself wanting to be more unnoticeable.

Ah well, it was time to go back to school anyways. Glancing around shrewdly, he ducked out of the warehouse and into a dark alleyway, unnaturally silent. He pulled off his suit and tie, got a pair of khakis and a sage sweater on, and started off for school. It's not that far, he thought as he traded out his mask for his wire-rimmed glasses.

*I'm changing to first person. Third is just not my thing*

I had just changed into my school stuff when I head a familiar loud knock at the door. Laina. I put on my glasses quickly and thundered down the stairs, louder than I intended, but I was still pissed about that metal bird. I grinned when I saw Laina standing in the hallway, a huge smile on her face.
"You look please with yourself!"
"And you don't," she retorted "you look like you just lost a fight."
How right she was! I shook my head and laughed.
"Enough of that. Come one, we're going to be late for school."
I slung my bag over my shoulder, offered an earphone from my Ipod to Laina and we set off.

**guys, sorry if I screw something up at the school, if we continue it there. I haven't ever been inside a school during school hours before in my life.**

Kara

Kara stood there for a moment, waiting for the bus to arrive. A moment later it pulled up, yellow and noisy. It hissed to a stop in front of her. The doors opened with a clatter. She climbed up the steps and found a seat next to Hayley.

Faye/ Lume~~

Faye hated mornings, why must have they had done it now? The others were leaving and Lume trailed behind, dreading the morning. This good guy thing was new to her and she smiled at the stereotypical name.

"Justice," She whispered with a joking voice as she threw down the hoverboard, it was early so no one would see her anyway.

Lume arrived at Faye's new home and few in through the open window. Lume was soon Faye again, going from worrying about Villians to wondering if anyone at her new school would like her. She threw on an outfit she thought would be deemed normal yet pretty at the same time, looking at the mirror she blinked her neon blue eyes at the regular girl infront of her.

~~~~
Faye arrived at the bustling city school, new faces looking at her curiously. Faye broke out into a smile and then laughed, they looked at her funny.
"It's a good sunny day who wouldn't be laughing?" She asked to no one in particular.
The one who smiles the most has something to hide.
Kara walked into the school building confidently. As she entered the hallway she saw several unfamilliar faces staring at her. Her confidence dropped a few notches.
By the time she reached her classroom she was shaking, and glancing from side to side. Her entire body was stiff. She closed her eyes, breathing deeply. Come on Kara, you can survive this. Not even mood swings will stop you. Besides, what's the worst that could happen?
She went and sat in her seat. It was in the corner, farthest from the door. She did her best to relax, but she couldn't keep herself from stiffening up again as quickly as she relaxed.
Nick/Mynah
Back to my life of being ignored by everyone and everything... Nick sighed heavily as he walked through the familiar halls stuffed with other students, all thinking about tests or ballgames or socializing. He hated being in crowds. It was like being alone, only surrounded by people.
Cara/Death
Cara'd dropped in at her house for ten minutes before school. She was panting after running so hard, but was trying not to rouse her parents, who would be cranky if she woke them early. Besides that, she was still in her costume, the spandex sticking to her skin.
Grabbing a slice of toast, she ate on the move, changing into jeans and a long orange top, making sure it went down past her scarred wrists. She scooped a few books into her bag and picked out her favourite pair of sunnies. She'd managed to convince the school with a feigned doctor's note of her "eye condition", when really she was just trying to hide her injuries.
The journey to school was quick, as always, when she wanted it to be slow. Cara knew her way round the school like the back of her hand, and joined her class for first period without much ado. They often didn't notice her come in, even though she was always a couple of minutes late. She crept to the back of the room and sat down along the row of her friends. Some of them she felt like she barely knew anymore.
"Cara! You're here at last! Good timing. Lesson's about to start."
Cara sighed as she took out her books and the day began.
That can be anyone who spoke to Cara, and anyone can join this class or be on this back row. :)
Kara
Kara was still tensed up. A girl around her age wearing an orange shirt came in, sitting down in the chair next to her. She smiled at Kara. She smiled back, but it was a small one. Come on Kara, it's not that bad. You're going to survive this. She nodded, and her smile grew. Yeah, I am. She sat up and relaxed noticably. The class began.
