Good good. For those who've joined, I'll check over your profiles tonight and mention here if anything's amiss, but I doubt there will be. And for those browsing the thread, who haven't joined yet, please do!

**Can I just say something Jetpack? We have a 8:2 girl to guy ratio of people who have either made a profile, or claimed a spot. There are five writers who have already posted a full profile for their girls. Maybe, the other three people who've claimed a spot for a girl could make a guy, just to even it up a little**

His eyes are a very bright blue and he doesn't need the glasses, he wears them because his eyes are distinctive and the glasses mask them a little.

Costume: Top

Personality: At school, Java seems to be the stereotypical "mystery boy". He seems distant, bored and hacked off with the world. However, he is extremely observant and clever. Although he views school as no more that a distraction from his "real" duties, Java spends his time there viewing the rest of the student body for possible others with powers, contemplating where he might go and who he might fight that night, and aceing all his tests. He has a few close friends at school, although he hardly ever sees them outside of school hours.
When in costume, Java is totally absorbed in the job. It is his one enjoyment, and he is very good at it. When needs be, Java is ruthless and feels hardly and remorse for some of the harder things he has had to do in his time. He trains hard and expects others to do the same. He works well in a team but can sometimes try and order the others around a but too much.

Powers: Shape shifting. He can shift into two bodies, a wolf and a hawk. Both of his animal forms are the best their species could be.

How he got his powers: Once, on a family camping trip, Java went for a walk in the forest alone. He met up with a boy there who was about his own age. The boy told him "you are going to be something. You must be something. That is why i'm here today, it is why we met." He caused Java to fall asleep and when he woke, no-one was there. Walking back, he realised he was on all fours - he was a wolf! And then, without thinking it he became a hawk. To this day he has never been able to find the boy in the woods again.

Weapons/Skills: He uses knives and is extremely accomplished at them. Java is very sporty, he has a black belt at karate and could have countless running medals, but he chooses not to compete.

Other: Is up for love.
I was thinking, could he maybe be friends with someone who has a power already? Hero or villian. But only if they are pretty interesting and smart, that's what he looks for in friends, just say if you want that.

Yep, you guys are all right. Please don't be afriad to make comments like that; this is my first storybook, so of course I appreciate any helpful input. So, anyone who's claimed for a girl - would it bother you a lot to change that to a guy? If not, please do so. That way we'll have five guys and five girls. I won't pressurise you though. And Aqua, thanks! I notice Java's power's quite similar to Chupatoasta's character Laina's - well, I guess you're both shifters. It doesn't bother me, so as long as you guys are okay with it, it's fine.

Forever Threnody: Sorry to make you pick, but please choose between water and ice! They are independent of each other, and you can do a lot with one. Just look at Iceman.

If you want to be a shapeshifter Aqua, I don't mind if you don't mind. Besides, Laina's not really an ANIMAL shapeshifter... just animal-looking robots

That would be great actually, and anyway, Java only has two forms. And it means if they meet up in hero form they could be a good team or whatever!

Haha, yeah! I just didn't want you to feel that you had to change Java's power or anything because of Lainy's. Also, if you want them to be friends, I wouldn't mind that either, since you said in your profile that Java was possibly a friend with someone who has a power already. If they were friends, though, could they not know about each other's powers?

Gender: Female

Appearance: Mel has redish brown hair with the striking golden eyes of a falcon. She's quite light looking, slim, and around medium height.

Costume: Her costume matches her slightly eccentric personality. She wears a light blue jumpsuit, with a red cape and horizontal white stripes around the left arm of the suit. As for footwear, she wears two different colours of Converse, blue on her left foot and white on her right. She wears a red mask that covers her eyes.

Personality: Mel is just a little crazy. She's the happy go lucky kinda girl who loves to be surrounded by her friends. She's optimistic even in the most dire of situations and always seems to be smiling. She takes her superpowers in her stride and doesn't mind having to hide her identity, much. She's a very honest girl and finds it hard to be secrets, which also poses a problem when she has to cover up her powers. She can be very fierce in battle but she takes it all as a game, laughing and teasing as she goes. She's quite energetic and always seems full of energy, even if she's been staying up all night. Most think her a little weird. Her head is full of ideas and colours, and she's usually the one to think up a plan when needed, though it's likely to be a little unusual and seemingly impossible.


Powers: Mel can manipulate the element air, paired with her falcon like senses. She uses the element to allow her to fly, and move the objects around her. She can conjure twisters at times, or sometimes even tornadoes, but it tires her greatly. She has excellent eyesight and can see things from high above.

Weapons/Skills: She doesn't really need a weapon, as she uses the air element to throw objects at villains.
