"Yeah, I do." Jayke choked, causing Brooklyn's bottom lip to quiver.
"You didn't believe me when I told you, and I kept telling myself over and over again that had I not been so weak, I could've fought Mike off. I thought about how much I'd hurt you when you saw Mike kissing me, and I knew I'd lost you." She sniffed softly. "I could feel it with every fragment of my being. I just knew it. The mirror, I punched it, and the glass looked so inviting. I remember what it felt like to do it, so I took some of my mom's xanax and did it. I didn't feel anything. All I remember was a slight sting, and then I wrapped my arm in the sheet. I prayed that I would die." She could feel Jayke's eyes burn into her. "I wanted to die Jayke, and it... it scared me." She whimpered, tears rolling down her face.
