"No, but you seemed to gawk at the idea. You don't care remember?" He said turning around after peeling her off his back.

"I wasn't talking about that." She replied. He crossed his arms.

"Alright, well straight up. How do you feel about it all?" He demanded.

**Okay :) I'll be on after surf class**

"I-it's confusing," she answered honestly before running a hand through her choppy hair. Jayke snorted and started to turn back to the door.

"Yeah, I know," he smirked, reaching for the handle. Brooklyn groaned and gripped his hand in hers tightly.

"But," she intervened, "I never said how I felt about how you feel about me. I like you Jayke, I really, really do." She didn't dare look him in the eyes, slightly scared of what his would be portraying. "I've always li- loved you actually. You've been my best friend since we were in diapers, but... I don't know, it's complicated. You always said since we were in elementary school that you thought of me like a little sister, and that the group only had room for one lovesick couple. I don't even know what I'm saying, so how could you? God, I'm nothing but a glob of nervous rambling." Brooklyn rambled on and on, hoping Jayke would stop her somehow.

Jayke rolled his eyes as he couldn't get a word in edgewise. He finally just pulled her close kissing her so she'd shut up. When she relaxed in his arms and kissed back he let her go stepping back.

"I only said that cause thats what I thought yu wanted to hear. I didn't want to ruin our friendship either if we ever broke up, so I figured not hurting yu would be best." He replied.

**Ergh, I'm blocked right now  **

Brooklyn gaped up at Jayke, trying to find the right thing to say. "I-I truthfully Jayke, have no idea what to say." She threaded her fingers through his, still staring at their interlocked fingers. "So does this mean... we're together?" She widened her eyes at her words. "I-I mean, if you don't want to be I understand I just th-" Brooklyn stopped talking when Jayke kissed her again, the feeling like jolts of electricity.

"We're together, okay?" Jayke smiled crookedly, his forehead pressed against hers. Brooklyn just nodded, staring up into his eyes.

TN

Jayke smiled and just held her close his insides jumping for joy. He kissed her again and she smiled against his lips.

"We should go back over." She smiled.

"What happened to being a hermit?"he smiled.

"We'll see." She replied. HE tightened his hands for a second then let go.

"Not if I havge anything to say about it." HE replied with a smiled.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn smiled up at Jayke, entwining her fingers with his and she danced out the door, Jayke closing it behind her. "You're a dork," she smirked, leaning against him slightly as they walked. Jayke just laughed as he flung his arm across her shoulders, causing blood to rush to Brooklyn's face.

"Oh my god!" Taylor screamed before Brooklyn and Jayke even got close to the backyard fence. "Y'all are really... oh my god, it took you long e- Trent! It happened!" The Trent-meister soon appeared around the side of the house, a goofy grin on his face.

"Lord you guys, it's a miracle! It took you how many years to confess to each other?" Trent teased, clubbing Jayke in the shoulder jokingly.

"Wait, you mean you guys knew?" Taylor shot Brooklyn a 'duh' look and Brooklyn stuck her tongue out childishly.

"It was really obvious once you got passed the whole charade you both pulled on each other," Trent laughed deeply, shaking his wet hair out.

TN

Jayke laughed. "Should've known." He smiled as he held Brook close. He didn't plan on letting her go, ever. "The team still here?"

"Ya. I say we boot them." Trent replied. He nodded and they walked ot the back.

"Time to go!" Jayke yelled. There was arguing and complaining, but he didn't let anyone stay. When they were all gone they went inside, Jayke and Brook sat on the love seat while Trent and Tay sat on the couch.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn smiled softly at Jayke, resting her head on his shoulder. Her heart was leaping with joy while her stomach did somersaults. Damn her nervousness. She had never been like this when she and Jayke weren't together. Taylor was ranting on and on about how long it took Jayke and Brooklyn to actually say something about it to each other. Brooklyn couldn't help but chuckle when Trent kissed Taylor to shut her up. Brooklyn smiled crookedly up at Jayke and pecked him on the side of the mouth, soon standing.

"Popcorn time! Someone pick a movie again!" Brooklyn laughed, dancing into the kitchen. She threw a bag of popcorn in the microwave and jumped on top of the counter, swinging her legs nonchalantly.

TN

Jayke followed while Trent and Taylor picked otu the movie. He smiled at her as she swung her feet.

"What?" She asked.

"Nothing." He jumped on the counter next to her and made his legs move the same as hers. The timer went off and he snagged the bag before she could and dumped it in a bowel then poured some sweet flavoring on it and ran out to the living room acting like he wasn't about to share with anyone.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn jutted her bottom lip out in a pout and shot after Jayke, jumping on his back with a cheeky grin. "Gotchu," she purred with a grin, kissing his neck playfully. Jayke stopped and she laughed lightly, snatching the popcorn and running around the love seat. "Where's our popcorn?" Taylor pouted.

"Uncooked," Brooklyn replied with a giggle, shooting around the piece of furniture when Jayke ran after her.
She stuck her tongue out at him and smiled, laughing smugly. "Slowpoke." She teased, inhaling the scents of the popcorn, "Mmm, yummy."

TN

Jayke finally caught her and he held her around the waist before sitting on the love seat and sntaching a handful of popcorn.

"And they tell us to get a room." Trent laughed as he came back from starting their popcorn.

"No way are we as abd as you two." Brook laughed.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn smiled triumphantly at Taylor, who was blushing and smiling. Trent grabbed Taylor around the waist, pressing his lips to her neck. "That's only because you two aren't as deep in as we are, huh Tay?" Taylor giggled childishly, turning around in Trent's arms. Trent laughed deeply as Taylor pushed him down on the couch playfully, kissing him roughly.

"Hey, take it easy on the tongue, you two might smother each other," Jayke chuckled, Brooklyn laughing along with him and laying her head on his shoulder as the movie previews started playing. Taylor let out a teasing gasp, making Brooklyn look over at her and Trent.

"Okay guys! Really?!" The two laughed loudly and parted, soon teasing Brooklyn about her flushed cheeks.

TN

Jayke rolled his eyes and held Brook close. "Leave her be and watch the movie." He finally growled as it continued for way longer then was needed. He kissed Brook's neck and he felt her small intake of breath. "Sorry." He whispered.

"Don't be." She replied turning her head a little. He kissed the side of her lips and then looked at the movie stealing some popcorn as he did.

"I love you, Brook." He whispered softly in her ear.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn was silent for a few seconds, soon feeling Jayke shift uncomfortably. She didn't know what to say... well she did, but she couldn't make it come out. Sure, they had announced it to each other not minutes before when they were ready to pull each other's hair out, but he hadn't actually said it to her by itself. She smiled softly up at him, brow furrowed even though she stayed quiet.

I love you too! She wanted to say. Hell, she wanted to scream it, but she couldn't find the words. She just couldn't. Luckily Taylor hadn't heard, or Brooklyn would've been yelled at.

Brooklyn was too scared to look at Jayke's face. He knew she loved him, or at least she hoped she did. She just wasn't ready to say the actual statement. She hung her head, twidling her fingers as the movie started playing.

TN

Jayke didn't pay much mind to the fact that she hadn't said it back. Why should he? If the only reason she said it was because he did, then he didn't want to hear those words. He held her close and soon fell asleep, he didn't like the movie they'd picked anyway. All he knew was that Brook was in his arms, and she was his.

I'm never letting you go. He sighed in his head as he slowly let the sleep take over him. Ever

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn smiled softly, nuzzling closer to Jayke before drifting into a deep sleep. Each breath she took she could smell his intoxicating scent, and that made her nap even more enjoyable.

~

Taylor smiled at Trent, pointing over to Brook and Jayke. Trent chuckled, pulling her closer to him. They were just about to kiss when the phone rang. Taylor sighed and stood up, walking over to it. "Hello?" She smiled softly at Trent, who had walked up behind her. "Oh! Ma, Pop!" She smiled, noticing that it was Brooklyn's parents. "Yeah, they're here! Okay! See you then!"

"What did they say?" Trent asked, Taylor smiling at him deviously before looking over at Jayke and Brooke.

"They're on their way from the airport. Apparently the snow storm up north kept them from skiing, so they just decided to come back home and spend the winter here.

TN

"So are we going to wake them up and tell them?" He asked.

"Why would we? They are doing nothing bad but watching a movie and they fell asleep." She smiled sitting back on the couch and pulling him down. "So are we. Just not sleeping." She smiled as she kissed his lips. He laughed and pulled her close.

"Sounds good to me." He held her close and kissed her again. He loved her so much. He wasn't sure why he'd ever let her go.

Chupatoasta

"Oh Anna! Look how cute they look!" Brooklyn furrowed her brow at the shrill, yet familiar, voice. She groaned and rolled over, facing a sleeping Jayke. Two mature giggles filled the air around Brooklyn, a bright flash soon following. "And look at Taylor and Trent! It's like they were fourteen again!" Okay, now that got Brooklyn to wake up. Jayke was still sound asleep beside her.

"Mom! Ma! Stop it!" She complained helplessly, Jayke's grip on her waist tight. Her father wasn't even paying attention, he was just laughing boisterously with Jayke's dad. Her and Jayke's mothers giggled again, snapping more pictures of the four teens.

"We can't, you guys are just too cute!" Her mother teased, snapping another photograph.

"Whatever, I'm going back to sleep," Brooklyn pouted, snuggling up to Jayke again. This, of course, brought more giggles.

TN

Jayke heard some noises and he groaned grabbing a pillow and throwing it towards the noise. "Shut up!" He growled.

"Always grumpy." That wasn't Tay or Brook's female voice. One eye opened as a camera flashed and he closed it back.

"What the heck!" He hissed opening his eyes again. "Y'all are worse then Trent and Taylor."

"We're your parents we're supposed to be." His mom laughed. He glared then yawned and looked at Brook who snuggled closer and sighed. She was back to sleep and he didn't plan on waking her.

"What are you doing home?" He asked.

"Stormed out." She smiled.

"Then go unpack and leave us alone." He replied closing his eyes again growling at the laughter.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn cracked an eye open secretly, listening to her parents. "Fine, fine. George let's head on home. Linda, Tom, would you like to come? We have movies!" Her mother was so embarrassing sometimes.

"We're going with you!" Jayke's parents yelled, rather dramatically, all four hurrying out of the door.

"I don't think they've ever outgrown high school." Brooklyn chuckled, opening her eyes to look up at Jayke's.

TN

Jayke shrugged and smiled and nodded. "Ya, thats why our families have always gotten along." He smiled she nodded and he kissed her softly. Then closed his eyes yawning. "Bed time." He replied softly.

"Ya, but this thing can't be comfortable for you." She laughed. "There is the other couch."

"Fine." He got up and picked her up and then laid on the longer couch where his legs could strech out. He pulled her close and kissed her neck softly before closing his eyes again.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn woke up the next morning, cursing loudly when she looked at the clock. The door slammed and she glanced out the window, seeing her and Jayke's parents running to their cars and driving away. She smiled down at Jayke, whose chest she was sleeping on, and kissed him gently before sitting up and rolling off the couch. Taylor was still asleep along with Trent in the chair. Brooklyn prodded her in the side, causing her to jump and fall out of Trent's lap. Trent stirred and opened his eyes, mumbling something about toast before falling back asleep.

"Come on, school!" Brooklyn hissed, pulling Taylor's hand.

"Hello, it's five-thirty!" Taylor spat.

"Hello, we're females!" Brooklyn shot back before running out the door, Taylor slamming it behind them without thinking about their boyfriends.

TN

Jayke jumped when the door slammed. Brook was gone alone with Taylor. Trent rubbed his eyes and looked around.

"Was it just a dream?" Trent asked.

"If so I had it too." He yawned. "We better get ready for school." He yawned walking tohis room and grabbing some clothes then tossing some to Trent before goingto the bathroom to change.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn screeched when Taylor jumped out from behind the corner, causing her to jump and trip backwards over her shoes. Taylor laughed loudly, helping her off the ground. Brooklyn huffed, dusting off her shorts. It was been warm enough to wear them, but she still wore a hoodie over her tank top just in case it got chilly. "I'm telling you Brooklyn, global warming is getting worse. I mean, why else would it be eighty-two degrees in Colorado in the month of October? It's unheard of!" Taylor had on purple converse, an off the shoulder purple top, and skinny jeans. Brooklyn laughed and rolled her eyes, slipping on her Nikes and thick rimmed glasses.

"Race you to the guys." Brooklyn smiled widely, running out the door with Taylor close behind. She fell into Jayke's house, running for the kitchen. "I change my mind! I want food more than guys!" Brooklyn shouted, her and Taylor soon rummaging through the cabinets.

"Hey, Jayke I think our girlfriends are going to leave us for a stack of pancakes!" Trent shouted and walked into the kitchen while Taylor and Brooklyn fought over who was going to make the pancakes.

TN

Jayke laughed and grabbed Brook around hte waist and she growled. "Let me go boy or I swear!"

"Keep holding her Jayke." Taylor laughed. "I SO win!"

"No you dont." Trent laughed pulling her to him. "We're making breakfast." He said kissing her neck.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn pouted, turning around in Jayke's arms, linking her hands behind his neck. "Will you add chocolate chips?" She whined, jutting out her bottom lip. Jayke laughed and Brooklyn smiled cheekily, pecking him on the cheek. "Thank you!" She smiled before turning back around to face Taylor, who was blushing. Trent had his lips pressed against the crook of her neck, smiling teasingly. Brooklyn laughed loudly, teasing Taylor playfully. "Aww, what's wrong Tay? Embarrassed?"

"Sh-shut up!" Taylor smiled, her face still red. "And it's not embarrassment, it's want."

"You want me?" Trent teased.

"You know it," Taylor purred, turning around. Brooklyn could only laugh at the two, leaning her head back onto Jayke's shoulder.

TN

Jayke shook his head. "Cut it out you two, I'm not about to make up some story for why you didn't go to school." He laughed. Trent growled at him and he rolled his eyes. "YOur making the batter while I get the skillet and all out." He said. If he put Trent to work, MAYBE the two of them would behave. Maybe. He got hte skillet out and got it heated up and then poured the chocolate chips in like Brook wanted. He had Trent do most of the work so that he didn't have time to slip off with Taylor. He knew that feeling, knew how hard it was to ignore at times. But htey had to.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn laughed at Taylor as she danced around the living room. It was seven thirty and they were jamming listening to Avenged Sevenfold on Jayke's surround sound stereo. Trent came in, turning it off while he rubbed his temples. "How can you listen to that god-awful music?" He complained, Taylor punching him in the arm. Trent winced and held his arms up in defense. "Kidding, just kidding. Breakfast is ready," he grabbed Taylor's waist, pulling her over to him with a swanky grin. Taylor smiled, wrapping her legs around his waist and pressing her lips to his.

"Jayke! The idiots are trying to rape each other!" Brooklyn yelled, walking into the kitchen. She smiled and kissed Jayke on the cheek softly before starting the coffee. Jayke groaned and walked out of the kitchen, soon walking back in with Taylor and Trent's noses pinched between his fingers. Brooklyn laughed and laid the plate of pancakes on the table.

"I swear you guys act like your fourteen sometimes," Jayke teased.

"Well what can we say? We're some horny fourteen year olds." Trent smiled, staring at Taylor lustfully.

"Okay! Who wants coffee?!" Brooklyn shouted, a little louder than necessary.

TN

"I do." Jayke laughed. "If I have to keep them away from each other all day I'll need to be awake." H e smiled taking the drink and sipping on it while eyeing Trent and Taylor. "You two don't need to make up for the past few years in one day." He replied.

"And why not?" Taylor smiled.

"Cause I don't feel like changing diapers anytime soon and if y'all had a kid I know I'd end up havign to." He replied.

Chupatoasta

"So darling, if we have a boy what will we name it?" Taylor asked Trent, shooting Brooklyn and Jayke a teasing glance. Trent thought for a second before smiling crookedly as he leaned across the table towards Taylor.

"Does it matter? We could just call them all Billy and Jane. Lord knows we won't stop." Trent growled.

"Or maybe just name them one, two, three, and so on. Jayke can be the godfather once we hit fifty of them and then we'll elope and live in Fiji." Taylor couldn't hold in her laughter and soon burst, gripping her stomach tightly. Jayke rolled his eyes and Brooklyn snorted in laughter, taking a bite to cover it up.

TN

Jayke finished eating and cleared his stuff loading it in the dishwasher. "School time." He said as they all walked out to his truck. He drove to the school grounds then got out opening Brook's door before she could and wrapping his arms around her shoulders as they walked towards the school.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn smiled up at Jayke brightly as they walked into the school, his arm draped around her shoulders and her arm wrapped around his waist. As they walked to their lockers Brooklyn couldn't shake the feeling someone was staring at her. She glanced behind her, eyes locking with Brittney's, who was standing next to a couple guys that Brooklyn had seen at the pool yesterday, including Mike. Brooklyn shuddered and pressed closer to Jayke. "What's wrong?" He asked softly and Brooklyn shook her head and smiled weakly up at him.

"Nothing, just nervous." He nodded slowly and they stopped at their lockers. "Hey locker buddy," she smiled playfully, opening her locker that was right next to Jayke's. "Taylor I was on the internet the other day and I saw an concert close to here, in the next town, and I thought that we cou- Taylor?" Brooklyn turned around, looking right and left. Taylor and Trent were both gone. "Houston, we've got us a problem." She couldn't help but smile.

TN

Jayke frowned and they walked back outside looking in the truck. "Where would they have gone?" He demanded.

"I dont' know. They might've walked back home." She replied. He nodded and they got i nthe truck drivin gto his house. Sure enough the front door was unlocked. They slipped inside and looked around.

"TRENT! TAYLOR! GET DOWN HERE, CAUSE WE'LL BUST Y'ALL IF YOU DON"T!" HE yelled.

Chupatoasta

"Shut the hell up Jayke!" Taylor screamed in annoyance, storming down the stairs in a rage, an angry Trent close behind. Their clothes were crooked and hair a mess. "What's one day going to matter? I mean, really?! We'll be there when we're done." Taylor shot a smile at Trent. "If we ever finish," she purred saucily. Brooklyn rolled her eyes and grinned at the two pervs.

"You two are like sex-crazed bunnies," she smirked, dodging Taylor's hand.

"Can you blame us?! We haven't had sex once since we got back together! Jayke can we puh-lease stay here." Jayke just glared at them for a couple seconds, causing Trent and Taylor to both shut up. "Brooklyn?" Trent gave her the puppy-dog eyes and she frowned, soon turning it into a pout.

"Fine, fine, fine. God help me. Yeah, y'all can but stay out of the main rooms!" Jayke gaped at Brooklyn as Taylor and Trent celebrated and ran out of the house.

"Why'd you do that?" He asked frantically. Brooklyn chuckled, taking his face in both her hands and pressing her lips to his.

"Because, even if we made them go to school they would've found a way to do it anyway, and I don't think you want Trent to get caught and taken off the football team, do you?" She smiled and kissed him again, grabbing his hand in hers and smiling brightly.

TN

Jayke sighed rolling his eyes. "Fine, but if she ends up knocked up I'm not changing diapers." He replied as they walked to his truck. SHe laughed and shook her head.

"They aren't THAT stupid." She smiled as he kissed her before pulling out of the driveway.

"I hope not. I don't want to deal with it." He smiled.

"Who said you would?" She asked.

"We're a tight group, we all pitch in on each others problems." He smiled. "We should probably check in on Chesler sometime."

"Sounds good to me." She smiled.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn bounced up and down in her seat aimlessly, soon smiling over at Jayke before her eyes drifted to the time. It was seven-forty five and school started in forty-five minutes. In other words, they had plenty of time. "We can just drive by now if you want." Jayke nodded, glancing at the clock before taking a left at an intersection. They pulled up in front of Cheslar's rather large house, stepping out of the car. Her dad's sheriff car was gone, along with her mom's mini van and brother's mustang. "Is she here?" Jayke shrugged and they walked towards the door, Brooklyn knocking a couple times.

"C-coming!" Cheslar called, her steps audible from outside until the door swung open. "Hey guys!" She smiled brightly.

TN

"How are you?" Brooklyn asked hugging the girl.

"Good, having the most God awful cravings, but I'm fine." She smiled.

"Good, I'm glad." Brook smiled.

"You going to keep going to school?" Jayke asked.

"Nope, mom is going to let me homeschool until the baby is born. I might not go back next year, we'll see what happens. But I think I'm going to put the little one up for adoption when it's born. I don't know yet. Depends how attached I get." Chesler smiled rubbing her still small belly.

"Sounds like a good idea to me." Brook smiled as she leaned against Jayke who wrapped his arm around her shoulders.

"So it's true." Chesler smiled. "You know, I'd never seen Jayke so happy til you came around. I'm glad. Where Trent and Taylor?"

"There, well, there still at my house." Brook smiled.

"I can guess. She's all he ever really talked abotu when no one else was around." Chesler shrugged. "She's lucky, he's a great guy."

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn nodded with a smile. "Yeah, he's just what Taylor needs." Cheslar nodded in agreement, smiling brightly. "So, what happened to... you know? Did he get put in jail?" Cheslar smiled even wider and nodded, leaning on the door frame.

"Yeah, he did. My dad took him to the station right after you guys left. He was crying about calling his lawyer and wouldn't shut up. My dad got a couple good punches on him before Colt jumped in. Oh! About Colt, he is so sweet!" Cheslar gushed a blush forming on her cheeks. "Apparently he's going to community college for another year, then he's going to join the police force. After he and my dad took Brendon to the station he and Dad came back for dinner. I didn't want to eat, but he told me that I had to if I wanted the baby to be healthy, so I ate. My dad let him stay the night since it was already midnight, so I guess my dad trusts him a lot. We talked and he's really down to earth and sweet. My mom likes him too, so he's a plus and he's only nineteen!" Brooklyn laughed at Cheslar's wide smile.

"Has he asked to take you out yet?" Brooklyn smiled, noticing how bored Jayke looked.

"We're going to dinner Friday. Hey, Jayke what do you think of Colt? Is he okay?"

TN

"Ya, he was my big brother for a few years." Jayke smiled. "He's a great guy, honestly I don't really remember him ever having a girlfriend."

"He said he hasn't before." Chesler blushed. "We talked about alot."

"Ya, he's a really good guy. He'll take good care of you." Jayke replied.

"He thinks I should keep the baby. But I don't know if I can with the memory." She shrugged.

Chupatoasta

"What do your parent's think?" Brooklyn asked, leaning against the white porch rail. Cheslar sighed, running a manicured hand through her hair.

"They want me to keep it. They told me they'd help me whenever I needed it, but they understood completely if I wanted to get rid of it." Brooklyn nodded, her eyes catching on the clock behind Cheslar that read eight-fifteen. Had they really been talking that long?

"Well, as long as you don't get an abortion," Brooklyn smiled weakly, Cheslar shaking her head.

"Oh, I'd never do that. I'm not like Brittney, so I wouldn't ever. Well, I've got to go start my school work. I want you guys to come over whenever you want. I still need ideas for the baby's name." Cheslar laughed and Brooklyn smiled, shaking her head.

"Bye Ches," Jayke smiled, giving Cheslar a hug. Brooklyn smiled brightly and followed suit, waving bye to Cheslar as she and Jayke walked to the truck and backed out of the drive.

TN

When they got to school and headed to their first class they saw Trent and Taylor run in sittin gnext to them.

"Your parents came home." Taylor whispered. Jayke chocked back and laughed.

"Did they find you?" Brook asked eyes wide.

"No, we heard them and snuck out the window." Trent smiled triumphantly.

"Lucky break." Jayke smiled. "Real lucky."

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn snickered as she walked beside Taylor, who sent her a playful glare. "Shut up," Taylor whined, jumping up and down. "We were so close!" Taylor pouted, causing Brooklyn to laugh even louder. "It's not funny, I need my sex woman!" Taylor grabbed Brooklyn's shoulders, shaking her while people walked by, shooting them weird glances.

"Please Taylor, I don't need to know about you and Trent's sex life that you have had yet to create." Brooklyn dodged Taylor's hand for the second time that day and ran over to Jayke's side, wrapping her arms around his waist and sticking her tongue out at a pouting Taylor.

TN

Jayke laughed at them as Brook used him as a shield. "Dude, control her." He laughed at Trent who wrapped his arms around Taylor and kissed her neck. She snuggled closer to him and Jayke rolled his eyes. "If you must after school take the truck and drive up to the cliffs or something. I don't need y'all acting this way all the time."

"Shut up, man, you don't even begin to understand." Trent replied. Jayke rolled his eyes. Trent didn't know if he kenw or not, but that was beyond the point. He tossed them the keys.

"We'll walk back to the house. But don't leave til after school." He replied.

Chupatoasta

Trent smirked, wrapping his arms around Taylor protectively as they walked, the key slipping into Taylor's pocket, where his hands stayed. Brooklyn rolled her eyes, leaning against Jayke while her hand found his. "Yes father. We promise not to leave before school ends." Trent kissed Taylor's neck, nipping the skin gently after speaking. A ruler suddenly slapped him on the top of the head, a middle ages, muscular, balding man shooting him a stern glare.

"No public displays of affection Blakes," the man growled deeply, pulling the ruler and dusting off his lab coat. "Gray, I expect you, as the captain of the football team, to keep your friend in line."

"Yessir," Trent growled, Jayke nodding slowly.

"Who's that?" Brooklyn asked lightly as they started walking away.

"Coach Jemmison. Nobody likes him. He molested a cheerleader fifteen years ago when he first started working here, got fired, and was back ten years later." Brooklyn nodded slowly, squeezing Jayke's hand and smiling up at him.

TN

Jayke smiled and kept hold of her hand. "Hand holding is fine, just not serious PDA." He smiled kissing her lips.

"Isn't that serious PDA?" She asked.

"If they see." He smiled back.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn formed a quirky grin and kissed him back lightly on the cheek when they stopped in front of her and Taylor's first class. "I'll see you at lunch, then we have the rest of the day together, right?" She smiled, turning around to face him as she swung his hand back and forth in hers, a smile still on her lips.

"Yeah, I guess." Jayke smiled softly, brow furrowed. "I'll miss you," he teased with a playful smile.

"Yeah, yeah, I know." Brooklyn rolled her eyes snottily before laughing and smiling brightly. "I'll miss you too," she grinned, dropping his hand.

"Bye, love you." Jayke smiled, brow still furrowed. Brooklyn's smile shrank and she nodded once, quickly turning and walking into the classroom.

TN

Jayke didn't want to let her go. He walked to his class and frowned. He went through the class watchign teh class. WHen lunch came around he walked to the cafeteria and smiled when he saw her. She walked over and he hugged her.

"Wasn't that bad." She smiled. He laughed.

"Speak for yourself." He replied

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn laughed softly, shaking her head as she wrapped her arms around Jayke again and standing on her tiptoes to kiss him on the cheek. "You're a dork." She teased when he laid his arm across her shoulders. "Have you seen Trent or Taylor lately? Taylor left second period to go to the bathroom and she never came back."

"Trent did too." Jayke replied unsteadily.

"Ah, darn, the horn dogs are at it again." Brooklyn laughed, shaking her head before opening her phone to dial Taylor's number.

"H-hello?" A breathless voice asked on the other line.

"Taylor, it's lunch time." Brooklyn rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, yeah. Just another... hour. We'll be back by fifth... period." Brooklyn flushed realizing what they were doing even though Taylor was talking on the phone.

"Okay, bye." Brooklyn said quickly, soon hanging up.

"What'd they say?" Jayke sighed as they walked around the lunch line, Brooklyn grabbing an apple and a water.

"Th-they were doing it while Taylor t-talked to me!" She gaped, Jayke sighing as he grabbed his own meal.

TN

"TMI." He laughed as they sat down. "I guess when you get the urge you get the urge."

"GROSS!" SHe laughed. He shrugged. "You wouldn't know from experiance would you?"

"Not at all." He replied kissing her. Liar He yelled at himself. He'd had a problem with his thoughts at times with her around. He took a bite of food and smiled.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn laughed hysterically when Jayke smiled, a piece of food stuck between his teeth. He chuckled and wiped it away, his eyes glancing somewhere behind Brooklyn before setting into a glare. Seconds later two guys were on either side of Brooklyn, two more on both sides of Jayke. A couple girls with extremely short skirts and tight Hollister shirts came over as well, taking seats here and there. Brooklyn smiled uneasily at Mike, who had taken a seat next to her before taking a bite of her apple. "Jayke, you ready for the game this Friday?" Mike smiled friendlily.

"Yeah, you know it," he grinned back, noticeably relaxing. Brooklyn sighed, relaxing as well and took another bite out of the crisp apple. She noticed Mike looking at her and glared at him.

"So Jayke, who're you taking to Henderson's party Saturday to celebrate the win?" A brunette with huge, fake boobs smiled seductively, pressing herself against Jayke. "I heard you and Brittney broke up and you're free game now." Brooklyn took another, much more rage-filled bite, of her apple.

TN

"Sorry, Lynn, but if she'll go with me I'm going to take Brook." He smiled at Brook. "And last I checked, I wasn't free game."

"Oh really? Cause unless you've got a girl you are." Lynn replied snobly.

"Last I checked I did have one." He replied frowning. "Now there is something called personal space."

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn covered her mouth to keep from laughing and covered her coming laugh his a cough, causing Mike to look up at her quickly and slap her repeatedly on the back, even if she'd finished coughing. "Are you okay?" He asked and Brooklyn glared.

"I'm fine." She sighed, shaking her head and looking back at Jayke, who had soon shooed the skank off. Brooklyn smiled crookedly at him reaching her hand across the table and entwining her fingers with his playfully. After talking for a couple minutes with Jayke and a few friendlier football players she felt a warm hand on her exposed leg, moving up her leg smoothly. Her breath caught in her throat and her eyes widened, frozen on the spot.

TN

Jayke knew that look on Mike's face and the one on Brook's. He let go of her hand and jumped across the table at Mike knocking him back as he slammed his fist in Mike's face.

"Keep your filthy hands off her." He hissed before two of the football players pulled him back off Mike as a couple of teachers walked over.

"Boys, please follow me." One said sternly. Jayke clenched his jaw and followed the man making sure Mike was in front of him.

They sat in the princpals office for a while before he came in.

"So decided to get in a fight?" Mr. Jenkins asked.

"He jumped me." Mike replied.

"Cause you were basically molesting my girlfriend." Jayke hissed.

"Doesn't matter the reason you are both suspended for the rest of the week."

"What abotu the football game?" Jayke demanded.

"YOu will be required to come back for practice, but otherwise you will not be on the school property."

Chupatoasta

The second the bell rang for the end of lunch Brooklyn shot out of the lunchroom, hurrying towards the office. Jayke and Mike walked out, glaring at each other in sheer rage. Brooklyn jogged over to Jayke, hugging him tightly. "What they say?" She asked worriedly, voice soft. Jayke sighed and ran a hand through his hair.

"I'm suspended for a week, so is Jack-off over there." He jabbed a thumb at Mike, who Brooklyn glared at. Mike blew her a kiss and she stuck her tongue out, looking back at Jayke.

"What about football?"

"I've got to come back after school for practice, and I'm still playing Friday night." Brooklyn nodded and hugged him tightly, a thought suddenly bouncing into her head.

"Stay right here," she smiled before walking into the office and over to Mr. Jenkins. "Um, excuse me, sir?" The man looked up from his paper work. "My mother just called and there seems to have been a family emergency. May I sign out of school after getting my work for the day?"

"Yes, yes, hurry up." The man turned back to his paperwork and Brooklyn smiled brightly, bouncing out the door.

"No school for the rest of the day!" She sang with a smile, dancing over to Jayke and pressing her lips to his.

TN

Jake smiled and kissed her back. "I won't complain." She hurried to her classes while he waited outside. She ran over and grabbed his hand.

"They haven't come back yet?" SHe asked. He shook his head.

"Nope, so we'll be walking. They'll have heard about me being suspended when they get back anyway." He replied as they started walking towards his house. "Sorry about what Mike did."

"Don't worry, it wasn't your fault. How'd you know what he was doing?" She asked.

"Your face and then partly his face." He replied. "I wanted to kill him. But I figured that wouldn't be a good idea."

**Later**

Jayke and Brook were curled up on the couch watching TV when Trent and Taylor walked in.

"Where'd y'all go?" Taylor asked sitting on the other couch with Trent. "Didn't decide you needed a little free time did you?" She smiled.

"No, I got suspended. And sense we don't have practice today sense coach has to go somewhere here I am." HE replied.

"What'd you get suspended for?" Trent asked.

"You didn't hear?" He asked.

"We didn't go back til last period."

"I got in a fight with Mike." He replied.

"Why?" Trent demanded.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn shifted nervously, Taylor instantly flicking her gaze to her. "He didn't!" She gasped, causing Trent to glance at his girlfriend in confusion. Brooklyn nodded once, Taylor gasping again. "He did?! I'm going to kill him! Where's the bitch live?" She walked over to the closet, pulling out an old baseball bat and stomping towards the door. Trent wrapped his arm around her waist, swinging her around and pressing his lips to her neck.

"God guys," Brooklyn laughed, trying to ignore the subject, "I thought you had enough of that." Taylor shot her a mischievous grin and let out a gasp when Trent bit her.

"We'll never get enough." Trent laughed, whispering something to Taylor that made her blush.

"Yeah, you two'll be running around the nursing home naked when your old and decrepit." Brooklyn smirked playfully, leaning back against Jayke.

TN

Jayke laughed a little and kissed the top of Brook's head.

"Only reason y'all aren't like us is because of your promise ring." Taylor laughed as she snuggled close to Trent on the other couch. Jayke didn't say anything, he just held Brook close and breathed in her scent, he loved her smell, everything about her.

"No, even if I didn't I wouldn't act like a horn dog all day." Brook laughed. Taylor glared and then shreaked when Trent tickled her.

"STOP IT!" She screamed.

"Why?" He laughed.

"C-c-c-cause I can't breath." She laughed.

Brooklyn laughed a little, poking Jayke in the cheek once. Twice. Three times. "What are you doing?" Jayke grinned, turning his head to her right as she poked him for a forth time. Brooklyn smiled cheekily and poked him again.

"Poking you," she stated obviously, Jayke soon poking her. "What're you doing?"

"Poking you." He mocked playfully. Brooklyn giggled and kissed him deeply, pulling away for a breath of air. She smiled childishly and kissed him again, a little lighter, and rested her arms around his neck.

~

Taylor slowly stopped giggling when Trent stopped tickling her, both looking at Brooklyn and Jayke. Taylor snickered wickedly and grabbed her camera out of her back, slowly creeping towards the two lovelies.

TN

Jayke wrapped his arms tighter around her waist and kissed her back passionatly. He jumped when a bright light flashed.

"TAYLOR!" Brook screached as Taylor and Trent started laughing.

"You two are so pathetic!" Trent laughed. "SO easily embarresed."

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn pouted and crossed her arms, laying back against Jayke while she glared at Taylor and Trent. "With good reason!" Brooklyn whined. "What would you do if I followed you everywhere taking pictures?" She pouted while Trent raised a brow in though.

"Ask for a copy," he answered coyly, he and Taylor soon guffawing in laughter. Brooklyn looked around, grabbing a random football that happened to be laying on the ground, and chucked it at Trent, hitting him and Taylor both in the head. She smiled triumphantly before sticking her tongue out. She felt Jayke laugh behind her and she smiled back at him.

TN

"Hey, you can still throw." He smiled.

"Of course." She replied wtih a smile. He kissed her lips right before a pillow bounced between them as he was tugging at her lip with his tooth. He barely managed to keep from biting her.

"HEY!" HE growled.

"What? She threw somethign at us." Taylor said in fake innocene. "Just cause you decided to play with her lip isn't my fault."

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn bit her bottom lip, blood rising to her cheeks. This of course, made Taylor laugh insanely. Brooklyn glared and stuck her tongue out. She really didn't know what else to say.

TN

Jayke got up and grabbed Brook's hadn. "We're going out on a date, without you two." He replied. "Don't make any babies." He ran out of the room with Brook before anything could be thrown at him.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn laughed as Jayke pulled her behind, her feet hitting the ground far apart from each other considering she was being pulled out of the house so fast. She smiled over at Jayke when he finally stopped beside his truck. He opened her door and she kissed him on the cheek playfully. She slid into the seat and he closed the door behind her, soon in on his side. "So where are we going Jay?" She smiled cheekily, grabbing his spare hand while he drove with his other one.

"It's a secret." Jayke smiled, kissing her quickly and softly before turning back to the road.

TN

Jayke drove down the road until he got to the barn they used to go riding at. He had put a blindfold on her before he got close enough for her to know where they were. He led her to the barn and waited. "Any guesses?"

"Um....." She took a deep breath and smiled. "Horses?"

"Yup." He took the blindfold off so she could see.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn smiled brightly and hugged Jayke as tight as she could, pressing her lips to his before pulling away with a bright smile. "Thank you," she smiled softly before grabbing his hand and pulling him to one of the stalls. She stopped in front of a chestnut mare with a solid black mane and a little black spot on her nose. Brooklyn smiled and pet the mare on the nose gently, smiling back at Jayke. "Are we allowed to ride them still?" Jayke nodded with a grin.

"Of course. You think I'd take you out here to just look at them?" He teased and Brooklyn shrugged with a soft smile.

"That would've been fine too, as long as I was spending time with you." She smiled sweetly, kissing him gently.

TN

"Come on." He led her down the asile and to an area where there were two horses saddled. "I texted Paul when we left the house."

"Thats what you were doing." She smiled as she mounted and then he did. They rode off towards the trails.

"I've got to show you this really nice feild I found, theres a creek running through it and if you follow it you get to a waterfall." He smiled.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn grinned brightly as her horse trotted after Jayke's, both of them side by side. Brooklyn smiled over at him as they rode, her mind more on him that the beautiful scenery they rode through. After about thirty minutes of riding they came to the creek. Jayke smiled back at her and picked up a little speed, following the creek about half a mile. Brooklyn pulled her horse to a sudden stop, eyes widening at the water fall before her. Sure it wasn't Niagra Falls, but it was still large and beautiful. Jayke jumped off his horse, helping her off her. Brooklyn smiled as he wrapped his arms around her waist, resting his chin on her shoulder.

"Jayke, it's beautiful," she whispered, leaning her head back on his shoulder.

TN

"Not as beautiful as you, but it holds a small candle." He whispered smiling. "I thought you'd like it."

"I love it, and your the worst liar every." She replied.

"Oh, but I'm not lying this time." He smiled kissing her cheek. "I'm telling the honest truth, you out shine it like a diamond does a rock."

"A diamond is a rock." She giggled.

"Ok, a diamond and a pile of horse manure. You make giving you a compliment so hard." he smiled.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn giggled softly and turned around in his arms, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him softly. She rested her head on his warm chest, listening to his heart beat. His arms were wrapped around her waist, making her feel content. Everything seemed so perfect. Brooklyn had everything she wanted at the moment. The perfect boyfriend. The perfect friends. And she was back in her home town. It was pure bliss. "Jayke?" She said in a whisper, head still laying on Jayke's chest.

"Yes?" He breathed, his chin rested on the top of her head.

"I love you." She smiled.

TN

"I love you too, Brook." He said kissing the top of her head and then dipping his head so it rested in the crook of her neck as he breathed in her scent. She squirmed giggling.

"That tickles." She laughed.

"Sorry." He laughed kissing her neck then pulling back. "Come on, lets go under it. You wont' get wet, don't worry."

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn smiled brightly as he grabbed her hand gently, leading her to a small, hardly worn path that lead behind the water fall. Brooklyn smiled and picked her pace up a little bit, anxious to look around. Jayke laughed at her until they were standing behind it. The light hit the water just right, forming a rainbow. Brooklyn gaped, eyes wide with astonishment. "Jayke, this is great. When did you find it?" She couldn't help but wonder if he had ever brought any one else here.

TN

"Last summer. I got bored and came riding. MY horse was stubborn as all get out and didn't stop til we got here." He smiled. "I thought it was perfect."

"Have you shown anyone else?" She asked.

"Nope, I kept it to myself, btu I wanted you to see it." He replied. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her close kissing her. "I wanted to do something special, I guess."

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn nodded slowly with a soft smile, laying her head in the crook of his neck. "Thank you," she breathed, taking in his scent. He chuckled and she felt him shake his head. She glanced up at him, eyes locking with his, and soon pressed her lips onto his, closing her eyes as her arms found their place around his neck, lips still locked with his. She took a few stepped back until her back was pressed against the wall of the cave behind the waterfall, feeling Jayke's arms soon wrap around her waist. Using the wall behind her, Brooklyn lifted one foot off the ground, closely followed by the second until both were wrapped around Jayke's waist.

Despite how bliss-filled Brooklyn felt, a knot formed its way in her stomach, reminding her not to go to far. She gasped and pulled her lips away from Jayke's gasping for air and smiling. "Sorry," she breathed.

TN

"No, don't be." He said clearing his throat. "I know the bounds, I should be apologizing. I stopped thinking for a second."

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn nodded softly, a blush crawling its way across her cheeks. "Um... do you want to... ahem, continue? I mean, no further than what we've already done." She could feel how shaky her voice was.

TN

Jayke laughed. "Punch me if I try anything." He smiled.

"You won't." She replied with a smile.

"Eh,just incase." He replied before kissing her again. She wrapped her arms back around his neck and he pushed her gently against the wall and kissed her passionatly as he held her up gently.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn smiled into the kiss, her fingers threading through Jayke's hair playfully. She felt him smiled and giggled softly, tugging his bottom lip. After a few minutes of pure bliss Brooklyn felt Jayke's hand creep up her shirt, causing her to open her eyes and pull away. "J-Jayke," she breathed, Jayke soon opening his eyes. He yanked his hand away quickly, brow furrowed.

"Sorry Brook. You can punch me now," he smiled playfully, brows still scrunched together.

Brooklyn shook her head, resting a hand on the side of his face to kiss him gently on the lips. "It's fine," she smiled, pulling away again.

TN

"No it's not, Brook." He replied pulling free and stuffing his hands in his pockets. "I know better." He said looking at the ground.

"It's fine. You weren't thinking." SHe said moving close to him. He took a deep breath and looked at her. He didn't want to hurt her, ever! He loved her to much.

"I shouldn't have still." he replied. "I"m sorry."

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn smiled sadly, tucking a lock of hair behind her right ear. "It's okay Jayke. Nothing happened, so it's fine, really it is. I forgive you though since you keep apologizing." She giggled softly, hugging Jayke tightly.

"Thanks, but still, it's not okay. I can't be doing that st-" Brooklyn cut Jayke off with a swift kiss, soon laughing at his surprised expression.

"Shut up already," she teased, glancing over at the waterfall. "Maybe we should start heading back towards the stables. The sun's setting." She smiled sadly, taking his hand in both of hers.

TN

Jayke nodded and kissed her one more time wrapping his arms around her waist and holding her close. When he pulled away they were both breathless.

"What was that for?" She breathed.

"I couldn't resist." He smiled as he led her back to the horses where they mounted up and headed back towards the stables.

Chupatoasta

When they got to the stables Brooklyn slid off her horse, leading it into one of the stalls before petting it gently. "So, Trent wasn't lying?" A gruff voice laughed loudly. Brooklyn turned her gaze to the entrance of the stables, a middle-aged man standing there in jeans, boots, and a plaid button down. Her smiled grew five times its size and she ran over to him, hugging him tightly. "Hey kiddo," the man chuckled.

"Hey Mr. David," she smiled brightly, Jayke soon at her side with his arm draped over her shoulders. Mr. David was the owner of the farm, and had known all of their parents in high school.

"Jayke," Mr. David nodded at Jayke, who smiled and shook his hand after saying hello. "So, you two are finally together?" He asked with a grin.

"Yup!" Brooklyn smiled childishly, leaning into Jayke.

"Parents happy about it?"

"They don't know," Jayke admitted, David erupting into laughter.

"It's all fine, I won't tell them, but you two should. You know there won't be any problems." Brooklyn laughed and nodded, the conversation continuing for a couple minutes. "Okay, well, I'm going to let you two go. Any plans for dinner yet?" Both Brooklyn and Jayke shook their heads.

"Head on over to Ma's Diner, great place to eat after horseback riding, trust me." David chuckled before walking off. Brooklyn smiled at Jayke, and tightened her grip on his hand.

TN

Jayke shrugged. "Lets try it." He smiled as they walked to his truck. "And we should tell the folks if they haven't already figured it out."

"Ya, mom and ma will flip with joy." She smiled.

"No joke. You tell them when I'm not around, ok?" He smiled.

"No way, you'll be there." She smiled.

"No, I'll tell the dads you tell the moms. Dads don't react the same."

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn couldn't help but let out a stream of laughter as she climbed into Jayke's truck while Jayke ran around to the other side and jumped in. Brooklyn leaned over, pecking him on the lips surprisingly. He smiled cheekily and she giggled, buckling her seat belt as he yanked out onto the road, driving towards Ma's Diner.

They pulled up in front of the diner fifteen minutes later. It had a retro theme to it, and Brooklyn actually thought it looked cool. She slid out of the seat and met Jayke at the front of the truck, hooking their hands happily. They walked through the door and a waitress skated, yes skated, over, a wide smile on her make-up overloaded face. She was probably fifty at the least and had fiery red hair stacked on her head and sparkling blue eyes that were more prominent with the bright blue eyeshadow she wore.

"Hey you two! I'm Marge, I'll be your waitress for today. Welcome to Ma's Diner. Follow me this way." She smiled.

TN

Jayke smiled and followed her sliding into the seats and looked at the menus. Jayke jumped when his pocket buzzed.

We're bored, where are y'all? It was from Trent.

"Who is it?" Brook asked.

"Trent and Tay are bored." He smiled

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn laughed softly and shook her head, a sudden thought popping into her head. "Why don't they come here? That will fix their boredom, feed them for the day, and not make us hurry." She smiled brightly. "It's like killing three birds with one stone."

"That's fine," Jayke grinned. "I'll text them." He pressed a couple buttons on his phone and not ten minutes later Trent and Taylor were racing towards their table. "You two got here fast."

"We took Brooklyn's car!" Taylor smiled giddily.

"Taylor tried to kill us!" Trent breathed dramatically.

"I wasn't going that fast!" Taylor defended.

"Yeah! Ninety two in a sixty five isn't fast! Ha!" Trent sat down, Taylor following after she stuck her tongue out at him.

TN

Jayke laughed and shook his head. "Long as your alive." He smiled as he wrapped his arm around Brook's shoulder.

"You two look peachy." Taylor laughed.

"Whats that suppsoed to mean?" He asked.

"Nothing, I just didn't have anything else to say." he replied with a shrug.

Chupatoasta

The rest of the week had literally flown by. Brooklyn complained everyday at school since Jayke wasn't there, and in her last period she had always been the first person out the door and to the football practice field, where she'd instantly find Jayke waiting for the team. Taylor and Trent would complain about her complaining, then the half of the football team that Brooklyn didn't mind hanging out with would complain about Trent's complaining about Brooklyn's complaining. It was a chain of complaining just because Jayke hadn't been at school.

"You ready for the game short stuff?" One of the football player's teased at lunch, patting Brooklyn on the head. Taylor snorted in laughter across the table and Trent coughed to cover his laugh.

"Hey! I'm older that you Josh! I have seniority so no teasing!" Brooklyn pouted, looking up at the tall junior, who guffawed in laughter. The table Brooklyn sat at, along with Taylor and Trent, had been literally divided. Brittney and her skanks, along with Mike's baboons, sat on one half of the table while Brooklyn, and all the football players and cheerleaders that weren't jerks or royal brats sat on the other half. "Besides, I'm not short. I'm funsized!" That got the whole table erupting in laughter. Brooklyn slapped Josh on the shoulder repeatedly. "I didn't mean it like that!" She huffed, crossing her arms and pouting.

"H-how did you mean it?" Taylor giggled.

"You know how I meant it! Think of a Hershey bar, the regular size, then think of the fun-sized ones. You know, the mini ones! That's what I mean!" Brooklyn sighed, exasperated

"So you're mini?" Josh snorted, causing Brooklyn to hit him again.

"Whatever, I'm headed to class." Brooklyn huffed, grabbing her bag and stomping off to her last three classes.

After school Brooklyn was once again the first out of the building. She ran down to the area where the buses were waiting to be loaded with the football team. Jayke was leaning against the side of the bus, clad in his uniform, pads, and everything else minus the helmet. She didn't know why though. The game wasn't for another three hours and it was a home game. Brooklyn smiled a Cheshire Cat grin, sneaking around the loudly running bus, intent on scaring him.

TN

Jayke frowned, couch had made him get dressed early. He didn't know why, but they all were. Something jumped on his back and he jumped spinning around.

"CAREFUL!" He heard Brook yell. He stopped and grabbed her and looked at her.

"Hey." He smiled.

"Did I scare ya?"

"Not at all." He lied kissing her lips.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn laughed softly and shook her head, poking Jayke on the nose. "I so did, just admit it," she teased, linking her fingers together behind his neck while his arms snaked their way around her waist. She stuck her tongue out cutely and smiled.

"Okay, okay, I admit it. You scared me a little." He rolled his eyes in defeat, causing Brooklyn to giggle again.

"A little? You thought someone was jumping you," Brooklyn teased, kissing him playfully. "So, you ready for the game?"

"Am I ever not ready?" Jayke replied rolling his eyes jokingly. Brooklyn chuckled and kissed him again. "Of course I am. You're coming right?"

"No, I've got a date with a comfy couch and a bowl of popcorn." At his disappointed face she giggled again and pecked him softly. "I'm kidding. Of course I'll be there. I am your girlfriend."

TN

"Good, or else I"d have to come sit on that couch with you." He smiled.

"And miss a game?" She scoffed.

"For you, YES!" He smiled.

"Good thing I wouldn't let that happen. Coach said sense the cheerleaders ride on the bus he might as well let me." SHe smiled. He nodded as the other came out.

"Lets go." Coach yelled. THey all loaded on the bus and Jayke pulled Brook on his lap as Trent sat next to them with Taylor on his lap. "Don't let me regret letting the girls on the bus, boys. Win this game and we'll see if you keep this privalage."

Chupatoasta[/b

Brooklyn smiled cheekily back at Jayke, leaning into him. Josh literally jumped into the seat in front of them turning around in his spot to glare. "What?" Brooklyn asked sticking her tongue out.

"How come you two get to come on the bus, but my girlfriend can't?" He pouted, causing Taylor and Brooklyn to laugh.

"Seniority," they sang together, both sticking their tongues out.

"You two are really creepy when you do that." Trent sighed.

"Really? That's not very nice Trent." They grinned, saying their words at the same time again. Jayke chuckled from behind Brooklyn and she grinned, turning her head so she could plant a kiss on his lips playfully.

"And you're a dork." She smiled brightly.

[b]TN

"And you love me for it." He smiled back.

"Josh, your girlfriend doesn't even come to the games!" One of the players yelled.

"Technicality." Josh yelled back.

"Those two girls other then the cheerleaders are the only ones that come anyway." Someone else called. "So shut up, I don't want to hear any more complaining."

Chupatoasta

"Speaking of complaining!" Taylor's voice rose a couple octaves. "Brooklyn would not shut up this whole week!" Taylor groaned, her head dropping back onto Trent's shoulder.

"Yeah! She was complaining about you not being here and about Mike being a prick." Trent snorted.

"So that made Taylor and Trent complain!" Josh added in a huff.

"And god knows what happens when those two complain!" Another football player groaned. The player sitting next to Josh spun around, suddenly staring wide-eyed at Jayke.

"Just promise us one thing," the sophomore begged, "Never, ever do something that'll get you suspended for even a day!" Brooklyn felt Jayke laugh loudly.

TN

"Then tell Mike to keep his hands off my girl." He replied holding Brook close.

"You get him suspended again we'll kill you." The guy said looking at Mike who glared. Jayke smiled and kissed Brook's neck as they pulled on teh highway.

"Don't worry, I think that black eye and all taught him a lesson." Jayke smiled.

"I hope so, cause if you stop coming keep her home so we can all stay sane."

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn stuck her tongue out at Josh, who did it back at her, and snuggled closer to Jayke, turning in his lap and resting her head on his neck, her face turned into the crook of his neck. When nobody looked she kissed his neck, playfully blowing on it when she pulled away. She grinned coyly when he shivered and closed her eyes, breathing in his scent. When she opened her eyes the feeling of being stared at washed over her. She glanced across the row, seeing Brittney and Mike both glaring in her direction, Brittney at her and Mike and Jayke. She shuddered and laid her head back down, kissing Jayke's neck again teasingly.

TN

Jayke growled low in his throat. "Cut it out, please, Brook." He said looking down at her. She smiled a little and snuggled her face back in his neck.

"Why?" She asked.

"Cause I need my mind on the game." He replied.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn laughed softly, once again snuggling closer to Jayke. She sighed in contentment and closed her eyes. What if he didn't like it?

She couldn't help but think so. He'd been with Brittney for a while before Brooklyn, and Brittney was a hell of a lot more experienced. What if Brooklyn hadn't done it right? What if he thought it was gross when she did it. Or worse... what if he thought she was like Brittney for doing it?

Brooklyn blushed, afraid he thought the worse, and leaned away slightly.

TN

Jayke glanced down at her. "Whats wrong?"

"Nothing." She replied. He's eyes narrowed and he looked at her face.

"Brooklyn, what is wrong?" He asked looking down at her. "You were never a good liar."

Chupatoasta

"Nothing's wrong, okay?!" Brooklyn shouted, a little too loudly. Her eyes widened when everyone turned to look at her and Jayke, even the coach. Brooklyn swallowed the lump in her throat, wincing when the bus came to a stop and threw her against Josh's seat. "I've got to get the admission stand set up." The doors opened and Brooklyn leaped out of Jayke's lap, hurrying down the isle and out the door. Taylor sighed, standing up from Trent's lap.

"I've got to go help. Good luck you guys." She smiled, kissing Trent on the lips and Jayke on the cheek. "I'll talk to Brooklyn and see what's wrong, okay? Don't let it bother you." She smiled sadly, soon running after Brooklyn.

TN

Jayke swallowed. What she told him to do was impossible. He took a deep breath and followed everyone out of the bus and went to the locker room. They got everythign ready before walking onto the feild for warm up. Jayke couldn't concentrate. He kept glancing towards Brook. What was wrong? He couldnt' lose her. He wouldnt' lose her.

"Dude, get your head in the game!" Trent growled.

"I can't." he hissed back.

"Well you have to!" Trent replied roughly.

Chupatoasta

Taylor glanced over at Brooklyn, who looked like she was going to cry at any given moment as she set up the tables and school t-shirts, hats, bangers, and all the other things. "Brook, what's up?" Taylor asked softly, setting a hand on Brook's shoulder. It was as is if Taylor had slapped her or something. Brooklyn dropped to the ground out of nowhere, crying hysterically. Luckily, nobody had showed up yet since they were still two and a half hours from game time. Taylor dropped down next to Brooklyn wrapping her arms around her tightly, telling her that it'd all be alright.

"Grey!" She heard the coach shout out Jayke's name. "You better stop playin' around before you play the sidelines!" Taylor tightened her hug around Brooklyn, who slowly stopped crying.

"What's wrong hun?" Taylor asked softly, looking Brooklyn kindly in the eyes.

"I don't know," Brooklyn admitted, her bottom lip jutted out. "Jayke told me not to kiss his neck so he could think about the game, so I started thinking it was because I wasn't good enough at it, and that he'd rather have someone better at it doing it." She sniffed and wiped her eyes with her sleeves, looking more like a five year old with a skinned knee than a seventeen year old.

TN

Jayke threw another ball and it flew straight into Trent's hands before Trent threw it back.

"Thats better." Trent smiled.

"Shut up!" Jayke hissed throwing another one at him. He pegged Trent right in the chest with it.

"GREY! This is practice, no paintball!" The coach yelled. "What is wrong with you!"

"Nothing, coach, just messing around." He said in a normal tone grinding his teeth as he did. He threw the ball again and then walked to the sidelines with Trent when Coach waved them over.

"Take a break, dunk your head in water or something." Coach the game. "I need you focused for the game. Go talk with your girlfriend to cheer up if you have to." Trent and Jayke walked away from him and Jayke took a deep breath.

"What is it?" Trent asked.

"Brook's mad or upset and I don't know why." He replied picking up a football and chucking it.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn finally stood up, after Taylor talked some sense into her, and wiped her eyes. She felt like an idiot for getting so upset over something so trivial. Jayke loved her, she loved him, and that's all that mattered. She fixed her hair, put on a bright smile, and jogged over to the field, getting the coach's attention. "Can I talk to Jayke?!" She called. Coach nodded and seconds later Jayke was hurrying over to Brooklyn.

"Hey!" He called, brows furrowed.

"Hey," Brooklyn's smiled turned teasing, "You suck. You better not do that during a game. What happened to the great and amazing Jayke Grey?" Jayke relaxed slightly and grinned.

"You happened," Jayke teased. "What's wrong? What happened earlier?" Brooklyn shook her head, laughing lightly.

"Nothing, don't worry about it. Just mood swings." She lied, still smiling. "Want a good luck kiss?" She smiled playfully, hooking her hands behind his neck.

"You know it," Jayke laughed, lips soon on Brooklyn's. Brooklyn pulled away, grinning, and kissed him on the cheek.

"Try and throw the ball right this time, okay?" She smiled.

TN

Jayke smiled and nodded stealing one more kiss before running back on the field. Everything was better now. After warm ups they went to the locker room and hung out for a while.

They went through the game slaughtering the other team. Jayke loved looking at the sidelines and seeing Brook.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn closed the money box as she cleaned up the place, Taylor grabbing it and running off to take it to the teachers that were in the concession stands. Brooklyn folded up the two tables all the sweaters and blow horns had been sitting on, leaning them up against the side of the bathrooms. "Um, excuse me." She turned around, facing a girl with bright blue eyes and dark brown hair.

"Yeah?" Brooklyn smiled, hooking her thumbs in her pockets.

"You're Brooklyn right?" She nodded. "Oh, Jayke told me to come get you. He wants you to meet him under the stands. Said he wants a kiss for the win." Brooklyn smiled brightly, saying a quiet thanks before running over to the stands. A tall, muscular figure wearing a wife beater stood with his back facing her. Brooklyn smiled widely and snuck up behind him, jumping on his back with a grin. Jayke turned around, face still hidden by shadows, and pressed his lips to hers, Brooklyn smiling softly into the kiss. It had all been going fine until Jayke grabbed her shoulders and pressed her against the railing behind her. Brooklyn winced, her arms pressing into her rips as her hands rested on Jayke's shoulders.

"J-Jayke," Brooklyn choked, her breathing labored considering he was crushing her. The light hit Jayke's face and Brooklyn gasped, trying to pull away from the finally unmasked young man. "Get off me Mike!" She screeched, bringing her leg up. Mike smirked and pressed against her harder, his mouth next to her ear.

"I'm wearing a cup baby," he breathed before ravaging her lips again.

~

The brunette cheerleader with bright blue eyes waited next to the locker room door until Jayke came out. When he did come out, talking with Trent animatedly the brunette jumped in front of him. "Brooklyn said to meet her under the bleachers!" She smiled before running off to tell Brittney she'd done it.

TN

Jayke looked at Trent brow furrowed and then shrugged. "See you in a bit, I guess." He said jogging towards the bleachers. He froze when he got there. Someone, it looked like Mike, was kissing Brook. She wasn't struggling and that made him even more upset. He stormed over and slammed his fist in Mike's face and then looked at Brook shaking his head. How could she do that to him. It was dark under the stands so he couldn't see her face very well, but he didn't want to, it'd only make it hurt worse. He turned around and walked towards the bus his shoulders hunched.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn opened and closed her mouth a few times, eyes wide, before she shot after Jayke, tears pooling in her eyes. She was such freaking idiot! Brooklyn tripped on her shoe laces, skidding across the concrete. She whimpered at the pain, glancing down at her skinned up knee, and stood back up to dust herself off. She deserved it, the pain that is. She wasn’t strong enough to fight back, so it was her fault that Jayke was hurt at the moment. “Jayke!” She called, running after him. She finally caught him before he got on the bus. She grabbed his arm tightly, tears falling down her face. “It wasn’t what it looked like.” She sniffed, wiping her eyes quickly.

“Wasn’t what it looked like?!” Jayke suddenly spun around, eyes alit with rage and pain. Brooklyn shied away from his stare alone. “You were kissing him!” His voice was strained and angry, like he was ready to hit something.

“I was not! He was kissing me! I wasn’t kissing back!” Brooklyn screeched, her words worthless.

“Ha! Likely story! If you didn’t want to be together this bad why’d you agree to go out with me in the first place?!” Brooklyn could feel hot tears rolling down her flushed cheeks. Her knee stung, Brooklyn able to feel the gravel and sand that was imbedded in her skin.

“Because I love you!” Brooklyn cried, staring up at him.

“Wow Brook, you’ve got quite a way of showing it then.” Jayke shook his head and stopped back up the steps, slamming into the seat next to Trent and Taylor. Brooklyn gaped in disbelief. She didn’t know what to do. He wasn’t going to listen to her anyway, and she didn’t want to ride home on the bus. It’d be extremely awkward. She wrapped her arms around herself and stepped away from the bus as the doors began to close. Mike suddenly ran over, shoving her to the ground before jumping onto the bus at the last minute. The bus doors closed and started off away from the stadium. Brooklyn let out a shaky breath, able to see her breath, and flipped her black hood up, biting her lip as she started to walk the way the bus had drove.

TN

"STOP THE BUS!" Taylor yelled at the driver. He stopped it and she jumped off. Jayke had already hit Mike again for shoving Brook to the ground, but he wasn't about to go after her. Not when his heart was just going to get yanked out and stomped on again. Trent didn't say anything as they drove to the school. He got off, went to his truck, and drove home with Trent in the passenger seat.

"I'm going to go get the girls." Trent said. Jayke tossed him the keys to the truck and walked inside his house and up to his room slamming the door as tears slipped out of his eyes. He wasn't oging to cry infront of anyone, but it hurt like hell to think he lost Brook. He'd loved her forever, and he'd just gotten her when this had to happen. He laid back on his bed staring at the ceiling as anger changed into pain, his heart was breaking if not broken. He felt like a stupid whimp, but what was he supposed to do when teh girl that he had loved sense the first day he laid eyes on had just broken his heart?

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn didn't say anything the whole ride home. Taylor had tried talking to her, but she just stayed silent. They'd know by the morning, and they wouldn't believe her either. When they pulled up in front of Brooklyn's home she whispered a soft thank you and ran into the two story house. Her mom and dad were both gone, probably taking a night shift again at the office. Making sure nobody was home, she stepped into the bathroom, wiping the scrape on her knee carelessly. She didn't even bother to clean it. She sighed and ran a hand through her hair, Elvis following her into her bedroom. She fed the german shepherd-chow mix along with Monty before sitting in front of her mirror in her room.

Twenty minutes later the mirror was broken. Its shards laid all over the room. Elvis had ran out in fright and Monty had hid under his rock. Brooklyn held a long shard to her wrist, tears falling down her face. She hadn't cut since ninth grade, but her scars from three years ago were still there and obvious as day when someone was actually looking. Why did it matter anymore? Taylor wouldn't listen to her in the morning. She and Trent would be on Jayke's side and Jayke would probably date Brittney again before he listened to Brooklyn. A sob wracked her body and she chucked the bloody glass shard at the door, ripping a pillow case off her bed before wrapping it around her forearm, soon dropping onto her bed to sob. It would clot soon, just like the cuts did in ninth grade... but it truth, Brooklyn really didn't care.

TN

"What happened?" Trent asked Taylor as they sat in Jayke's driveway.

"I'm not quiet sure." Taylor replied as she looked towards Brook's house.

"I'll talk to Jayke, you talk to Brook." He said as he got out and gave her a quick kiss before walking up to Jayke's room knocking on the door.

"Go away." Jayke yelled.

"No, let me in." Trent replied. He tried the door knob and it opened. Jayke was laying on his bed looking at the ceiling a look on his face that Trent had never seen. "What happened?"

"Go the hell away." Jayke growled glaring. "I swear if you don't I'll throw you out."

"Jayke, what. happened."

"Go ask Brook, alright, just leave me alone!"

Chupatoasta

:Taylor:

Taylor stepped into Brooklyn's house, Elvis running at her and barking shrilly. "Hey buddy, what's wrong?" Elvis whined, barking again and spinning in a circle. The two tan spots over his eyes were scrunched together as if he was furrowing his eyebrows. Taylor's thoughts drifted off to the Lassie movie and couldn't help herself when she smiled.

"What? Brooklyn's stuck in the well?!" She asked in a worried voice. Elvis barked in a series, growling lowly before barking again and running up the stairs. He ran back down, barked, and ran back up. Taylor was seriously scared now. What if Brooklyn had... no, she wasn't that insane. Not to do all that again she wasn't. Elvis stood in front of Brooklyn's door, barking loudly. Taylor shoved the door open, gasping at all the glass on Brooklyn's floor. The mirror that hung on her wall was just a black backing now, no glass on it whatsoever. Elvis nipped Taylor's hand, his nose on the ground. Taylor pushed his head away and grabbed the large, sharp shard at her feet, her heart pounding in her ears when she saw the blood. "Stay Elvis," she said softly before walking over to Brooklyn's bed, tears pooling in her eyes.

"Taylor!" She heard Trent call.

"Trent, come here! Hurry!" Feet pounded on the stairs, audible throughout the whole house, and Trent appeared in the doorway, eyes wide. Taylor sniffed, holding up the glass shard, and got closer to Brooklyn. "Brookey?" She asked softly, shaking her best friend's shoulder. There wasn't a response so Taylor pulled back Brooklyn's comforter, a choked gasp ripping through her body.

"Oh my god," Trent breathed, running over and flipping Brooklyn onto her back. Her face was pale. Deathly pale. Hot tears were dripping down Taylor's face as she grabbed Brooklyn's wrist that was tied in a pillow cover, soaked with blood. "I'm going to call Jayke, then an ambulance." Taylor nodded and Trent ran downstairs. Taylor winced when she felt how cold and clammy Brooklyn was. Brooklyn's blue eyes fluttered open slowly, her eyes shifting everywhere but Taylor's face.

"Brooke, why'd you do this?" Brooklyn's eyes set on Taylor's before she looked somewhere else.

"Jayke... didn't... believe me. I'm a... bad girlfriend." Brooklyn smiled weakly, her head falling to the side.

"No, no, no you're not. Brooke what happened today?"

"Mike... he kissed... me." Brooklyn's eyes rolled into the back of her head and closed, her breathing shallow.

TN

"Hello?" JAyke growled.

"Get over here now, Brook cut herself, she's lost a shit load of blood." Trent said his words choppy.

"Did you call an ambulence?"

"Not yet."

"Call them damn it!" Jayke hissed jumping up and running over there. Mike or no MIke he still loved her and he didn't want her to die. HE ran up to her room and moved the crying Taylor out of the way as he looked at Brook. "Wake up, please wake up." He said as he took and put a tourniquet above the cut even though it was a little late. He heard the sirens and he held her in his arms. He walked down the stairs carefully to where the EMTS ran in.

"We'll take her now." One said. He nodded as they took her from him. He felt his heart lurch as he watched them put heron a strecher and then hook her up to some contraptions as they took her out ot the ambulence.

"Come on, lets follow them." Trent said grabbing his arm and then wrapping his other arm around Taylor's waist. They got into the truck and Trent drove to the hospital. Jayke stared out the window his heart feeling like someone had stabbed him.

Chupatoasta

:Taylor:

Taylor opened and closed her for repeatedly. She was trying to decide whether or not to call Brooklyn and Jayke's parents. With a sigh she flipped her phone open and dialed the familiar number, dialing another at the same time before putting it on three-way. "Hello?" Two female voices said at the same time. "Mrs. Hendricks, Mrs. Grey... I don't know how to say this..." She took a shaky breath. "Brooklyn, did something extremely terrible to herself." She heard both of them take sharp breaths. "She's being taken to the hospital now." Without a goodbye both women hung up. Taylor called her and Trent's parents, getting the same result. By the time they got there all eight adults were at the hospital, Brooklyn's dad and the counter.

"Listen to me, I want to know what they're doing to my daughter and I want to know now!" He shouted. His tie was loose, suit was wrinkled, and his once gelled hair was all out of place.

"Sir," one of the male nurses walked over, "We're not completely sure on her condition at the moment and time, you'll have to take a seat until then. We're trying everything we can." With a loud growl Brooklyn's father walked back over to her mom, taking her in his arms. Taylor smiled and walked over to her parents, telling them exactly what happened before she took Jayke and Trent away from the group to sit on the other side of the waiting room.

"Are you okay?" She asked softly, looking at Jayke.

TN

Jayke didn't answer at first, he just stared at his hands as he sat in the waiting room. "Jayke?" Taylor said softly again.

"It's my fault." He said hoarsly. "It's my fault she did that."

"Why do you think that?" Taylor asked.

"It just is, it has to be. I mean she was the one kissing Mike, but still it's my fault." He ran a hand through his hair as he fought the anger, pain, and agony inside of him.

Chupatoasta

Mike. Brooklyn had said something about Mike. Suddenly it all sunk in. Taylor didn't want to make Jayke feel bad, but she had to set him straight. "Jayke, I really, really don't want you to feel even worse about this, but Brooklyn woke up right before you came over. She had opened her eyes and looked right at me. I had asked her why she did it and she smiled. Her eyes had filled up with tears and I almost could feel her pain. She looked at me and said you didn't believe her and that she was a bad girlfriend. I had told her no, no she wasn't a bad girlfriend, and I had asked her what happened today, and she told me that Mike kissed her. I don't know what happened, but I know she wasn't lying and that whatever happened, she is just as hurt as you are now." Taylor looked over at the direction doctors and nurses were running a hospital bed.

:Brooklyn:

"Okay, now that the transfusion line's in put in the fluids." Another pinch. Brooklyn moaned at the pain that was coming from her chest, arm, and head all at the same time.

"She's waking up!" Another voice called loudly. Brooklyn opened her deep blue eyes that felt entirely to heavy. Her mouth felt like it had been glued together. She looked down at her wrists that her bandaged tightly and squeezed her eyes shut, tears springing from her. God, you're such an idiot. She thought weakly while the doctors worked around her. A bag of blood was set up to her left, and a bag of fluid to her left. She had an IV in both arms, one for the blood and the other for the fluid. An oxygen thing was set on her head, the tubes right under her nose. She felt like a freaking retard, cutting herself like she did.

TN

Jayke swallowed hard. Should've listened, this is all your fault! She's hurt because you couldn't trust her. The thought hit hard. He stood up.

"I gotta get some air." He said.

"I'm coming." Trent said standing up too.

"No, stay with Tay." he walked outside and looked around. What if Brook died? It'd be all his fault. He leaned against the wall of the hospital and took a deep breath. He could've just killed the one person he loved the most.

Chupatoasta

Brooklyn sat up in her bed and the nurses and doctors filed out. She looked over at the mirror over the sink next to her, seeing dark rings under her eyes and her hair a complete mess. She pulled her hair up into a low pony tail weakly and fell back against the pillows, her arms resting on two others. Tears were falling down her face, but she didn't even feel it until the air conditioning hit them. She lifted her hand and wiped them weakly. She couldn't open her mouth. Well, she could, but it felt like they'd put glue in it. Like her tongue was pasted to the roof of her mouth or something.

A nurse walked in, injecting something into Brooklyn's IV, and smiled. "Would you mind visitors hun?" Brooklyn shrugged indifferently. She didn't care. Unless one of those visitors was Jayke, which was highly unlikely, she didn't care.

~

:Taylor:

A doctor slowly walked down the hall, his eyes downcast while his white robe-like uniform flowed around his feet stiffly. All eight adults rose to their feet. "Which of you are Brooklyn's parents?" All eight stepped forward and Taylor smiled softly. "Um, well then. I just want to tell you she's fine. She lost quite a lot of blood though. We did a few transfusions, and she pulled through just great. The cuts on her arm were a lot deeper than expected. She cut into the main arterial vein quite a few times without realizing it I assume. The blood there flows so quickly, it usually takes a while to clot, and she probably had three cuts just on said vein. We stiched it up, and she should be fine to go home in a day or two." With that the doctor walked away and a nurse soon stood before them.

"The patient doesn't mind visitors, but she's not very talkative, so don't try to get anything out of her." The adults nodded, hurrying after the nurse. Taylor ran out of the hospital and grabbed Jayke's arm.

"Come on, she's awake."

TN

Jayke let Taylor pull her into the room where Brook was. He was realived she was fine. He let their parents gush over her and when they'd had their fill he just walked over and stood next to her. She looked up at him and he smiled a little.

"Sorry." He said softly. "I screwed up. Guess I'm the bad boyfriend, your not a bad girlfriend." He said moving some hair from her face. "Just don't hate me, k?"

Chupatoasta

Jayke was here! He was really here! In her mind, Brooklyn was screaming happily and dancing around, but outwardly, she couldn't do anything. Literally. Whatever the nurse had given her had done something to her. It was like it calmed her way to much. Brooklyn looked away from Jayke and at Taylor and Trent. Taylor hugged her tightly, Trent in tow. The corner of Brooklyn's mouth twitched in her best attempt of a smile. "Well, we've got to go home with the rents, are you going to be okay?" Reading her eyes, Taylor laughed softly. "Yeah, yeah, okay. I'm happy your okay Brook. If you ever do anything that stupid again though, I'll kill you." The corners of her mouth twitched again and Taylor laughed softly, hugging her again before following her mom and dad out.

"Don't be a retard, okay?" Trent teased, he, like Taylor, reading Brooklyn's eyes. "Thanks for the comment. Bye dork." He hugged her and walked off with his parents. Brooklyn said bye to her mother and father, Jayke's parents soon following.

"Jayke, you've got your car, right?" His mother stopped and asked.

"Yes ma'am." Jayke smiled weakly, his mother nodding once before walking out. Brooklyn looked up at Jayke, soon looking away again. She swallowed hard, trying to get the knot out of her throat. Tears were already pooling in her eyes.

"I-I'm s-sor-ry," she managed to choke, her bottom lip quivering as she looked up at Jayke again.

Jayke shook his head. "Your not supposed to talk." He managed to smile. "I should've listened." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. She started to try to say something and he shook his head. "No talking, ok?" He smiled this time as he sat down in the chair and looked at the tears in her eyes.

Brooklyn winced slightly as she struggled to move her hand, lifting it weakly. She moved it only a little bit before dropping it again. As if reading her mind Jayke took her hand in his. Tears rolled down her face and she dropped her head back, closing her eyes. She had so much she wanted to say, to tell him as much ask him. Were they still together? And if they weren't, would they ever get back together? Did he even want to?

*Can you get on MSN?*

Brooklyn sat up for the longest time. A nurse came in, smiling. "Do you want this light off?" Brooklyn nodded once, weakly, the corners of her mouth twitching up at her best attempt of a smile. "That's quite a boyfriend you have there." At this Brooklyn actually smiled. It was a weak one, but she smiled. "You're lucky," the nurse smiled, flipping the light off.

"I kn-know." Brooklyn struggled out the words. "I love hi-him." She smiled weakly. The nurse nodded, a smile still on her face.

"I'll have the morning staff bring to two something good to eat in the morning." She smiled before disappearing out the door. Brooklyn let out a labored breath and let her head drop back onto the pillow, her eyes closing heavily.

Jayke woke up the next as a lady walked in with a bunch of food. "morning." She smiled. He sat up and rubbed his neck that was killing him.

"Morning." He looked at Brook and smiled at her open eyes.

"i brought you both some food." The nurse said setting some where Brook could get some and then giving him his.

Brooklyn woke up with a yawn, stretching her arms high above her head. She opened her eyes, blinking a couple times. The sweet smell of food wafted around her and her eyes instantly found the plate of food sitting on the movable table to her right. "Well, looks like you can actually move today." The nurse from the night before came in smiling. Brooklyn smiled crookedly and nodded, sitting up in her bed. The nurse looked to Brooklyn's left pointedly, causing Brooklyn to do the same. Jayke was sitting there, smiling softly as he ate. Brooklyn's smile grew soft as the nurse winked and walked back out, closing the door behind her.

"Good morning." Brooklyn forced a small smile to Jayke, everything from the night before flooding over her.

"Morning." He replied before putting some more of the biscut into his mouth. It wasn't bad for hospital food. He finished his food and then streched his legs out and popped his neck again. "How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Better then I was last night." She replied.

"That's good." Jayke sighed, Brooklyn nodding her head slowly in agreement. She didn't know what to really say. A moment of silence threaded in between them as they ate. Brooklyn took a couple bites of the biscuit before the doctor hurried in, clapping his hands together once, rather loudly. He walked over to Brooklyn's side, taking her arm gently.

"How are you feeling today?" He asked gently and Brooklyn smiled up at him weakly.

"I'm fine, really. I just feel really idiotic." The doctor laughed and nodded.

"So you should." Brooklyn had to look away from the deep carvings in her arm when the doctor unwrapped in, exposing stitched up gashes. "I trust you won't do this again." Brooklyn nodded quickly.

"You don't have to worry about that doctor." Her words didn't sound very convincing, simply because she wasn't sure.

"I just hope you'll be smarter next time. You could have very easily have died had your friends not found you in time." The doctor re-wrapped her arm with a new bandage and ruffled her hair. "You're very lucky." Brooklyn nodded.

"Yes sir," she smiled softly, the doctor soon walking out of the room. Brooklyn looked over at Jayke and tucked her arm closer to her body, laying the other one over it.

Jayke swallowed and looked over at her. "Why'd you do it? You swore to me before you moved you'd never do it again."

"Idon't know." She whispered.

"You do know why you did it. Did you think it was going to do you any good?" He shook his head. "When Trent called me, and then I saw you." he couldn't finish what he was going to say.
