Simon - Vampire

He couldn't help but notice that Vasha looked even more nervous than before.

"I don't bite," he grinned. "Well maybe I do, but I won't bite you."

"Very funny," she replied sarcastically.

"I thought so," Simon shrugged. He glanced out of the classroom and out to the hallway. Brystine was certainly causing a little stir-up with the others. I glanced away quickly.

"So, uh, how did you end up here?" He asked, trying to make conversation.

---

Brystine - Demon

Brystine smiled at the Alan. "Of course I would like to join you. It's quite refreshing to see polite, well mannered people here."

"Right," he replied, fidgeting a little. Brystine tilted her head. Why did she cause so much of a disturbance. Certainly she wasn't that bad. She hadn't even got started yet.

"Is something wrong?" She asked, giving him a sweet smile. "It wouldn't have anything to do with me, would it?"

"Of course not," he responded, politely. Still she could hear the contempt and fear beneath his voice.

"Ah. Well, I haven't yet learned your name," she cocked an eyebrow. "Mind telling me?"

Vasha- zombie

"Oh..." Vasha fiddled with the pencil case on her desk. "My parents sent me here when I turned twelve. Zombies don't fit in too well in human society."

Simon smiled wryly. "No kidding?"

"I tried to hide what I was as best as I could, but all it took was one little whiff of fear and I just..." She ran a hand through her wavy red hair. "I wasn't safe to be around other children, really. I did my best to stay away from the others and not care about what they thought or did, but it didn't help much. I'd do something unnatural, like hurt myself without responding, or eat something gross, and they'd get scared. And then I had to leave the room before something bad happened."

She had no idea why she was sharing this information with Simon; it unnerved her a little. To cover it up, she asked him a question.

"What about you? Why are you here?"
---

Rashid- alan

The little alan made himself stop fidgeting. "Oh, I'm Rashid Knight." He chuckled a little and did what he usually did when he was nervous: started babbling.

"At least, that's what it said on the note pinned to my basket. Apparently my parents dumped me on the front steps of the school when I was just a baby. The headmaster came out, and there I was, just sitting there. 'Rashid Emerson Knight' is what the card said, but it didn't say if I was named after someone or if my parents just liked the names or what. I like to think that maybe there was some really great man that they both admired, so they named me after him. Probably not, but..."

Rashid noticed the others sparing him amused glances, and his face reddened. "Uh, what about your name? Or did you tell us what it was already?" He gave another nervous laugh.

Simon

He hadn't expected that. "Me?" He asked. His eyebrows knit together.

"Yeah, who else?" She rolled her eyes. He sighed. After all, she had shared with him.

"I, uh, well, I fit in with the other humans," Simon responded after a moment.

"So that landed you here than?" Vasha asked, suspiciously. Simon laughed though he was hardly amused.

"Hardly. My guardians tried to teach me that humans were food. Nothing more. I was the rebellious one though," Simon retorted. "I even made a human friend. Not a close friend but...well as close as a vampire can get to a human. Jason, who was almost like the father I never had, told me to end this...relationship with the human. Her name was Molly.

"Anyway, I told him no. I had grown attached to her after awhile. So Jason decided to take matters into his own hands. He injured Molly. He had shown her what we were...and he left her alone. She was losing a lot of blood and Jason took me out there. He looked so smug. I didn't know what was going on until I got to the mountain where he left Molly. There was so much blood and I - well, it's what I am. There was no stopping me. I killed her and Jason was never prouder of me."

Simon shook his head. "Bet your glad you asked now, eh?" He asked sarcastically.

Brystine - Demon

"I believe I already gave you my name, though we can still have introductions. Shall I go on then?" Brystine asked softly, smiling and not waiting for an answer.

"I'm Brystine and as some have already pointed out, I am a demon," she replied.

"Oh," Rashid said curtly.

He confused her a little. She leaned in towards him. "What is it that's making you nervous Alan?" Brystine questioned in a soft, persuasive voice.

"Nothing is making me nervous," he retorted a little defensively.

"Does it have to do with the fact that I am a demon?" She grinned. "We Demons and you Alans don't get along too well do we?"

Her voice was still soft and melodic, but there was more now. That was the one thing that agrivated Brystine. Prejudice. Even if, in this case, it was right to judge her. She just hoped this Alan wasn't like that. She might not feel as welcome and she certainly didn't want to start anything this early in.

Okay guys, just a little refresher, we're not standing around or sitting around. It started with me taking Sam to his class. So...we're walking. Still. Lol

Adria - Werewolf

That quiet growl that I had tried so hard to suppress earlier was now expressed. Loudly. All eyes moved to my face. I felt Cassi's warning hand on my shoulder.

"How did taking this," I snarled, placing a firm hand on Sam's head, "kid to his class turn into a giant group of creatures??" Everyone coughed nervously, as though they didn't know. I exhaled deeply, and I swear thin steam came out as I did so. "Whatever. I don't care." Those words were hard to choke out. "Come on, squirt," I said, grabbing Sam's wrist and yanking him along. K.C. and Murphy ran quickly to keep up.

"Wh-whoa!" Sam cried from behind me.

I couldn't contain the vicious grin that came to my face. I heard them whispering behind me.

"Who is that?" The demon girl, Brystine asked.

"Adria Parker," Cassi answered. "She doesn't take so kindly to any race that's different from her own, which, as you can see, is a werewolf. I'm amazed she hasn't started a fight with anyone yet."

"Oh..." Brystine replied thoughtfully. "So they're wolf ears, not cat?"

I heard nothing, so I could only assume Cassi merely nodded. I stopped abruptly, and I heard everyone else skid to a short stop.

"Speaking of classes," I said, slowly turning around, "don't we all have classes we should be getting to?"

The others glanced around at each other nervously.

Brystine

"Hm," she said thoughtfully. "Maybe...but then again, you've interested me wolf."

She growled a little and Brystine couldn't help but smirk. "Interested you, demon?" She spat out.

"Yes, interested me," she said, nodding. "See I am curious now, why you have gotten so agressive. Maybe you could enlighten me? Or maybe you could tell me why you don't like creatures of other races."

"And why would I tell you that. You have no idea of what you are talking about," she said, looking down at me. Brystine held herself up a little taller, still smiling.

"Is that prejudice? Are you saying that demons in general don't know what they're talking about? That we're stupid. You might be right...but not about me," Brystine laughed. "Then again that may not be how you meant it. Still, I would like to know. Another time maybe? I believe you're right, I need to get to class."

Brystine walked away, towards her class. No sooner had she walked in the classroom then did she feel someone stiffen. She grinned.

"Nice to see you Simon," she addressed him sitting down.

Rashid- alan

Rashid bid goodbye to the others and walked off to his next class.

Vasha- zombie

"Oh." Vasha felt incredibly awkward and not a little guilty. "I didn't mean to put you on the spot or something. You... I mean..." Nice going, loser...

"Nice to see you, Simon."

Vasha's guard went back up. "Do I know you?" she asked the demoness suspiciously.

This appeared to only amuse the stranger. "I'm Brystine, and there's no need to be rude."

The zombie scowled, knowing that this rendered her earlier behavior a bit hypocritical. "Sorry, I just didn't know who you were."

Brystine chuckled. "And now you know."

**This is continuing from WhiteTiger's post.**

Cassi-- Werewolf

Cassi groaned audibly. Was Brystine trying to start a fight? I held my breath as Brystine walked away toward her classroom, watching Adria carefully for the moment that she would snap . . . .

Her expression was murderous, her entire body tensed with fury. But to my intense surprise, she grabbed Sam's arm again and yanked him roughly in the other direction, turning her back swiftly and walking away. "I'll deal with her later," I heard her growl through gritted teeth. I let my breath out slowly and looked around at the stunned faces of Gwen, Rashid, and Lexi.

"She's just . . . " I couldn't think of the right way to end that sentence, so I began another. "I, um . . . I really should . . . be . . . getting to class . . . as well. It was really nice to meet all of you," I added sincerely, looking at each one in turn. "Really. I look forward to seeing you again."

"It was nice to meet you too," Rashid said politely, smiling slightly at me. I smiled weakly back to him.

"Okay, so . . . bye, then." I turned and walked awkwardly away, my cheeks blushing furiously.

Lexi

"Me too, I'm gonna be late as well," I said, glancing at a clock. "But hey, we'll have to all do lunch or something together. well, actually, all of you would eat lunch together, because I don't eat."

They both grinned a little. "Yup. Nice talking to ya, Lexi."

"Bye."

I ran quickly into my first class and sat down at a table with nobody else. I was pulling me stuff out when someone tapped me on the shoulder.

"Can I sit here?"

(Gack, sorry I have to drop out. Things are getting a bit too confusing for me)
There once was a cat.
He wasn’t particularly fat.
Fuzzy was his favorite mat.
And really, that was that.

Oh, but did you really think so?
Keep reading, it’s just the start of the show!
And as for how far this tale will go…
Well, even the cat doesn’t know.

((Sam is currently being drug off to class by Adria, and Gwen is, as far as I know, still where you left her.))

Cassi-- Werewolf

By the time I reached my trig class, all of the seats were taken . . . except one. I spotted the familiar demon in the seat right beside the open one and bit back a groan. As if I hadn't suffered enough conflict in the last few minutes.

I chided myself for this thought. He hadn't really ever done anything malicious to me. Just the usual demon behavior . . . teasing, pranking. He wasn't really that bad of a guy. It really didn't matter, I realized, seeing as that was the only open seat anyways. I slid into it slowly, trying not to attract attention to myself, and pulled out my homework.

The moment I was into my seat properly, I noticed him looking at me curiously. My eyes remained on my homework, as I tried to recheck the problems. Finally, I heard him speak. "Hello."

"Hi," I replied politely, only glancing up for a moment.

((That's August. And if you want a spot for Maria, someone just tapped Lexi on the shoulder, and I don't think whoever it is has been defined yet. ;) )

Can we say its the next day then since August has has already been to trig..?

August~ Demon

August sat down in his usual seat, he was early for a demon. The others wouldn't be in until right after class started. He tapped his pen boredly, everyone was filtering into the class. The zombie girl from the library even sat down, her usual seat two rows infront of his on. She noted him also, making eye contact then looking away. August's tips were purple today and he smirked back.

"August!" Max punched him in the shoulder, "Missed you last night man! You missed an awesome pull on a group of bird boys!"

"I did did I?" August smirked back.

"We looked all over for you but you were no here to be found!" The red head emphasized, "Nice smoke screen man. Are you gonna help tonight, it's gonna be big."

"What's happening tonight?"

"The big tamale man, it's the annual meeting of pure blood vampires." He whispered the last part.

"Sounds freakish, I'm in." and at that Max went back to his seat. A gir came in last, the only seat left was next to his own, she ooked at him then looked away.

She knows me, August thought smirking to himself. "Hello," He attempted to start a conversation with the ruffled girl. She was a werewolf as far as I could tell and I smiled when she answered back.

"You look like I'm about to eat you."

The girl looked into his eyes, and then back to her homework. "What?"

"Settle class," The batty od teacher came back into the room.

August scribbled a note, and passed it to the werewolf.

"Entertain me," Was scribbled on the paper.

Brystine

"I see you've...made freinds, Simon," she smiled. "Enjoying yourself?"

"What do you want Brystine?" he groaned. "Can't you control yourself...even here?"

"Me? I haven't yet done anything. I haven't even used my elemental gift. You know th one," she grinned wickedly. "Besides, isn't it you that has trouble controling yourself?"

"Demon," breathed the girl beside him. Brystine bowed slightly from her seat.

"You know, that's not a very nice thing to call someone. Especially if they didn't know what you meant by it. I prefer Brystine."

Simon had already turned away from her. He hated it when she brought up Molly and his problem 'controling his needs.'

Brystine laughed. "Shouldn't this be a fun class?"

---

Simon

He tried to give Vasha the 'sorry about this' look, but it didn't seem as if she was paying him attention.

"Is something wrong?" I whispered to Vasha. Her orange eyes glowed.

"You were going to try and sick your demon freind on me weren't you?" She asked. Simon groaned. Sometimes Brystine could be a real jerk.

"No. Trust me. I know how that feels. I wouldn't wish that on anyone...not even a zombie," Simon smiled slightly to show no insult was really intended.

Vasha didn't look any happier but she did relax a little. Simon put his head in his hands. So far his day had not been a very good one.

"The trouble with Borrowing another mind was, you always felt out of place when you got back to your own body, and Granny was the first person ever to read the mind of a building. Now she was feeling big and gritty and full of passages. 'Are you all right?' Granny nodded, and opened her windows.
