Cassi-- Werewolf

Dear Diary,
The Werewolves and the Vampires are at it again. There was almost a major fight in my English class today, right before the bell rang. I swear, if the teacher hadn't have walked in, there definitely would've been bloodshed.

I paused, my pen suspended half an inch above the paper, rolling my eyes at the words I'd written. The last two weeks worth of entries had started in the same, boringly repetitive way. Was it even worth it anymore to talk about all of the fighting? I sighed and resumed my ritual, reaching the part I really wanted to talk about.

I used to be friends with one of the boys, way back when I was about six or seven. We never talk much anymore, but he was sure looking at me a lot during the fight. It was a strangely expectant look, like he wanted me to jump in and fight with them, like it was my duty to my race or something. I honestly thought I'd made my position clear enough. Fighting brings out the absolute worst in people. The boy fighting used to be one of the kindest people I knew, and yet, ten years later, he's looking on the verge of transforming in the middle of a classroom due to some ancient battle he has no place in. Sometimes I wonder

My eyes had gone glassy, staring unfocused across the open courtyard as my mind wandered away from how to word what I wondered. The fighting really was a daily rite now, something that no one even paused to wonder about anymore. As I struggled to concentrate back on what I was doing, I noticed Adria's familiar figure walking across my line of sight. I blinked out of my reverie, debating for a moment before closing my diary with a heavy sigh. I couldn't concentrate anymore; I'd finish it later. Eager for the company and the distraction, I hurried to catch up with her.

"Hey, Adria!" I greeted as I fell into step beside her. "What's--"

My eyes fell suddenly on the figure beside her and I clammed up instinctively, both startled and made nervous by his appearance. I didn't recognize him at all, and that made me a bit apprehensive. I struggled to find my voice, realizing how rude my abrupt cutoff had probably seemed. "Hello," I managed politely. "I don't believe we've met."

((Sorry for the late start. I was out of town.))

Gwen Ackerman

I jumped as I heard an unfamiliar voice beside me and quickly whiped the tears from my already red eyes. He had kind, dark eyes and made me feel safe, kind of like I did when I was with Sam, but different somehow.

"Oh... I'm fine, really" I studdered, giving him a small smile. I was lying, of course. Something was wrong but I just didn't know what exactly, it was just one of those days that don't go very well. As I examined him further I noticed that like me, he was an Alan. His wings were pearly grey, kind of reminding me of the sky right before it rained.

"What's you're name?" the boy asked me and I blinked a couple of times. The only other person to ever ask me what my name was, was Sam.

"Gwen" I said, my cheeks turning hot. "My name is Gwen Ackerman."

*Sorry RayneChild! Can you just go with what you left off? I couldn't write for that post, I'll be free to start with you tomorrow though! And I hope this was okay Buggy! :D*

Rashid smiled kindly. "Gwen's a nice name. It reminds me of Le Morte d'Arthur. You know, because of King Arthur's wife Guinivere."

"Thanks." Gwen cocked her head. "What's your name?"

His smile widened. "My name's Rashid Knight."

They sat there in silence for a moment or two, just looking at each other. "Hey, do you want to go to lunch with me? I need to drop my books off at my room first, but if you aren't doing anything..."

Gwen couldn't help smiling a little back at the kid. There was something contagious about his cheerful disposition. "I'd like that. Thanks."

It's no trouble at all :D

Adria - Werewolf

I smiled at Cassi as she joined us. Sam took her by surprise, though.

"Cassi, this is Sam Castor. Sam, Cassi McLean." Sam nodded to her shyly. "He's a little new," I told her. "I'm showing him to his next class, because he's lost."

"Oh," Cassi said thoughtfully. "That's very kind of you," she said. My tail swished happily. She looked Sam over. "He must be a werewolf, huh?" She asked.

I gasped, acting surprised. "How ever did you guess?"

"You wouldn't be so friendly or helpful to anyone that isn't," she answered, as though the question was "What does 2 + 2 equal?"

I laughed. "You are correct," I told her.

She nodded with a quiet chuckle. She looked down and ruffled the fur on K.C.'s head. His tongue fell from his mouth and he panted happily. I smiled and my ears twitched.

Finally, Sam spoke. "Have you guys been friends long?"

Lexi

Ugh, I hate being the newbie, I thought as everyone ran around slapping friends high fives. And who's gonna want to be friends with a newborn vampire like me?

I wheeled my stuff quicklydown the hallwa, feeling a little frustrated. I stopped at my room and threw open the door a little too hard. As it swung open I was a little embarassed and surprised to see a girl and a boy alan looking at me like I was nuts.

"Err, sorry about that. It's just kinda hard to be new here and know anyone and I was a little mad..." Babbling. That's a good way to introduce yourself to your roommate and her friend.

"I'm Lexi Cameron, and I assure you I don't usually throw doors open this hard," I joked, trying to turn it into something funny.

They chuckled. "I'm Gwen Ackerman and this is Rashid Knight," the girl said stepping forward and shaking my hand. Her eyes were red and her voice wavered a little, showing that she'd been crying.

"Nice to meet you guys," I said, stepping across the room to put my stuff on the bed opposite hers.

"So, um, what are you? Like, species wise?" Rashid asked.

"I'm a vampire," I responded casually.

They both gasped loudly.

"Relax, I won't suck your--" I turned to see them running away into the hall.

"Ouch. Geez, what's the big deal about being a vampire?" I said to myself as I walked out of the empty room and headed towards my first class, History.

**Sorry, lol, der da der on me!**

*I will bring you into it Moo. Tee hee, first fight between characters!*

Amber Mason

"Room 1122 great its the zombie corridor." Amber said to Jake.

Amber let herself into the boring coloured room. Amber looked at Jake.

"I am bored Jake, you can entertain yourself for a while." She reached down to pet him.
"I'm away to explore campus. See you later boy!"

Amber walked in the direction of the library, taking in all of the sights around her. She saw two demon boys arguing together, a fight broke out. Amber stumbled across another student in the attempt to get away before she was set on fire or something.

"Oh sorry," She said shyly to a pale skinned girl, who was most likley a Zombie.

The glare that she recieved in response nearly burned a hole in her face. This girl clearly didn't like Vampires like her. "Watch it," she spat, picking he owl on her shoulder hooted in response to her angry response.

"Jeez, take a chill," Amber said a little irritatedly, immediately regretting it.

"Are you trying me, vampire? Don't push it," the girl seemed more defensive than agressive, Amber thought. Her temper flared.

"It's Amber, actually. And don't push me either, zombie!" she only meant to raise her voice slightly before she realised she was shouting angrily, leaning forward and stabbing a finger at the stranger.

She didn't usually act like this. The anger from her Mother's betrayal was exploding out of her....

"Cat fight!" yelled a demon, as she waiting for the raging zombie girl to make a move.

*Moo you can decide whether Haley is going to fight or not lol someone else can try to break them up if you want*

Cassi-- Werewolf

"A couple years," I answered casually, still absentmindedly stroking K.C.'s fur. "I guess you could call that a long time, depending on your perspective." It was definitely a long time for someone like me to keep a friend. I never had many friends at one time, and the ones that I did have always seemed to change and drift away from me. I'd been friends with Adria longer than I'd ever been friends with anyone else.

"That does sound like a long time," Sam replied, appearing to be relaxing ever so slightly.

Adria laughed quietly. "Ah, it really doesn't seem like that long. After all," she added jokingly, "she is a werewolf. That makes her pretty easy to get along with."

I grinned at that. "Yeah, well, I guess it's nice to have another werewolf around. It usually takes more effort than I have to keep Adria out of the fighting."

"As if you could hold me back," Adria replied, her eyes glinting in a teasing way.

I glanced momentarily at Sam, whose brief lapse in nervousness seemed to have faded. From the look on his face, he clearly didn't know whether or not Adria and I were joking.

And the more I thought about it, the more I realized that I didn't know either.

***Um, summergrl13, Gwen and Rashid are Alans, not zombies xD***

Gwen Ackerman

I walked to Rashid's room with him, a lot happier than I had been. He was really nice to me and I knew Sam was going to like him a lot as well.

"Here we are!" he told me as we stopped in front of a door covered in posters of book covers. He opened the door and what I saw made me want to laugh. His room was the nerdiest room I'd ever seen, but cute.

"Einstien?" I asked, seeing the poster of the crazy old man on one of his walls.

"Yes!" he said and smiled.

"Nerd" I called him, jokingly.

We left his room, leaving behind his books and made our way to the caffeteria. That's where I saw Sam sitting with two other Werewolves, they were all laughing and it looked like he was having fun.

"Gwen!" Sam called as he saw me, like always his hair was a mess and he had a playful and childish look on his face. Rashid looked at me a bit confused.

"That's my friend, Sam Castor!" I told him with a smile.

*Suckiest post I think I've ever made xD My brain is cheese, my friend, pure cheese. And once again RayneChild, can you continue with Sam? Cheese I tell you o_O*

"Sam Castor," Rashid repeated with his ever-present smile. "It's nice to meet you. My name's Rashid Knight."

Castor smiled lazily. "Rashid... you're that funny little kid from the library. I've seen you around."

Rashid laughed. "Yup, I spend a lot of time in there. Reading's one of my favorites."

Gwen looked amused. "Favorite whats?"

"Favorite things to do, of course. Reading about knights and pirates and kingdoms at war and last stands... it's almost as good as flying." His wings shifted as though just thinking about flight made him want to leap into the air and do laps around the school. "Almost."

Vasha came back down the steps, pleased with herself. She'd finished her trig homework without being irritated by any more demons, and the cafeteria was supposedly serving steak for dinner.

"Um... hello."

She looked up, eyes narrowed. The other student smelled like a vampire.

"What do YOU want?" she growled, baring her teeth.

The vampire boy took a step back. He didn't look frightened, just a little wary. "You dropped this," he said, holding up her homework paper. "I thought I should give it to you."

"Oh. Uh, thanks." Vasha held out one scarred hand for it.

**that's Simon btw**

**Cheese or not, I'm going to write xD**

Sam Castor

"Wow, don't really think I've ever met an Alan who thinks something is close to flying" I told the guy. The way Gwen was looking at him made me know he was a nice dude, she always knew the good people. I smiled in her direction and she gave me one of her famous happy expressions, it was nice when she was in a good mood.

"So Sam" Gwen said, taking me away from my thoughts "who are you're friends?"

"Oh! This is Cassi and Adria" I told her, "Cassi, Adria, this is Gwen Ackerman and Rashid."
