*Hey guys, I have an idea for Kayla helping out the Yellow Hill pack or something...MadMoo: can you make a DT, please?*
Kayla~

I sighed at the quarrel between Viking and Ghost but Lark's comment was what really bothered me. Father, Lido, has told me to kill Yellow Hill's pups on two occasions during a raid. I've never obeyed him. He knows I fight half-heartedly but he is still out of the loop on my other occasions of betrayal to Black Tooth. In the back of my mind, I decided to would slip out tonight to visit.

My stomach grumbled again and I saw my father and Viking eating an elk. I wanted to join but being with Lido turned me away. I saw Toxin and Sting nearby so I decided to see if they were up to sharing.

"Anything left for me?" I said, lying down next to Toxin.

"Plenty." He said. Sting made a face and I touched her shoulder with my nose, playfully.

I tore a peice off the elk leg and gobbled it down. I only needed a little since my appetite died down after the thought of killing.

Toxin, Sting, and I were quiet before Lido howled, signaling a meeting.

"Tonight, we invade!" I heard him say in the distance.

My heart sunk.

*jok hasn't posted with Lido yet...I'm going to PM him to see if he's still in.*

I howled again, hoping someone from the pack would hear me. Little Leo had escaped safely, but not there were more wolverines than we had expected. Too many for four wolves to take on alone.

I wondered suspiciously if this was more than just a run in with an overprotective pack. No wolverine pack kept up a residence near Yellow Hill territory this time of year.

**Sorry, I'm totally new to storybooks so I'm not sure what a DT is  Also, good idea with PMing Jok, if he's no longer in the storybook one of you Black Toothers will have to take over Alpha position**

*Ah, thats ok. A DT stands for discussion thread. If you go to "Storybook Discussion" (its in small letters under "Storybooks") then you can make one. Its just there for plot ideas, questions, etc. No problem...I didn't know what a DT was when I first started either.*

Zodiak, Yellow Hill

He ran helter skelter across the grassy terrain, long green cat's tails whipping at his face as Rayne almost struggled to keep up. He stopped his panting to breath through his nose and catch Lhuna's scent, and kept running in a gait so fast it was almost unrealistic looking.
When the scent of Lhuna mixed and twisted into the familiar scents of his fellow pack members.
Then, the sharp pungent scent of...
"Wolverines!" he shouted over to Rayne, running some metres to his left. A low growl came from her lips as they crashed through a thicket, Zodiak's eyes snapping straight to a wolverine dueling with Lhuna. Her silver muzzle was streaked with crimson, as the wolverines collosal claws swiped and slashed for her face. She was so preocupied with it that she didn't notice two gang up on her from behind.
"Rayne, behind Lhuna!" he yelled. The cream and gold coloured wolf nodded sharply and their paws thudded in unison as they headed towards the black beasts. With an enraged snarl, he caught one around the throat, rolling in mid air and hitting the ground with a savage thump. The wolverine's carotid was instantly severed, gurgling angrily as the blood filled his lungs. It died within seconds, so as he turned for more, but saw that Lhuna and Rayne had both finished off theirs as well.
A savage snarl ripped from Lhuna and Rayne throat at once, making the sound more monstrous as it echoed around the rocks.
The wolverines began to back off, their numbers reduced to three. Cana, Yiser, and Guru joined in with the snarling. It began to get so loud that it reverberated in Zodiak's eardrums until it was all he could hear or think.
He jumped forward towards the angry trio, thumping his forpaws against the ground and howling and snapping at them. They scarpered, their black coats dissapearing into the night.
The whole pack exhaled and let there fur settle. Little did they know, Zodiak's deafening howl had carried all the way towards the Black Tooth pack across Summit Lake....

Zodiak's howl fell silent and I sat next to the wolves who had joined us. I began licking at my injuries, nothing too major. I then thought of Leo.

"Bane, did Leo get out okay?" I asked him.

"She should have." he answered.

I nodded. She was a fast pup, she would have made it back. I looked to our now present Alpha. I waited for some command on what to do next. I didn't know if we should follow the wolverines with more support, or just let them go.

Viking~Black Tooth

"Tonight, we invade!" Lido howled, Viking and Toxin grinned a toothy evil grin.

"Well settle are little rivalry there." Viking grinned.

"Who ever does the most damage wins." Toxin agreed.

"We leave at dusk!" Lido howled again. After he howled another howl irrupted by a deafening howl, that cam from the other side of Summit Lake from the Yellow Hill side.

"It seems like there already having problems." Sting murmured as she glanced over, as if she might actually see the owner of the howl.

"That just gives us a better advantage." Viking grinned wider.

"Prepare for tonight we shall, be feared, for generations to come!" Lido howled as Viking, Toxin, Sting, and Talon joined in.

(I'll bring Lark in Phantom)

Ghost~Black Tooth

"We need to warn them." Kayla whispered to herself after Lark left.

"It will be dangerous, if Lido finds out." Ghost whispered back.

"What!" she looked shocked that I even heard her."

"I won't tell. I want to help you." he whispered back. "Let's go for a hunt Kayla." he said happily, as they walked to the woods.

"How much do you know?" Kayla asked.

"Just that you help the Yellow Hill out." he replied.

"Guys wait up!" Lark called.

"Well finish this discussion later." Kayla whispered as Lark bounded up.

(And Storm to)
Leo~Yellow Hill

Leo ran as fast as her little paws could carry her, she started to something following her. She went faster scared it might be a wolverine.

"Wait up Leo!" she heard Storm call after her.

"Race you to camp Storm!" Leo called, knowing that if she even mentioned the Wolverines then Storm would go see.

"OK!" he called as he started to run faster, Leo slowed down so he could keep up with her.

Okay, I want to start off by saying one thing: chinchillagirl_34, Sting is a pup. Like, only a year old. I don't know how safe it would be for her to be going to an "invasion" or whatever. Just saying. Also, Mad_Moo, where is the DT at? I looked for it, but I don't think I was looking in the right place

Rayne - Yellow Hill Beta

Rayne breathed heavily, her blood-soaked teeth still clenched so tightly that her pack mates thought she'd break a tooth or two. Her fur was settling, but the fire in her eyes was still raging. Lhuna, noticing this, moved slowly towards her and gently nuzzled Rayne's cheek. Instantly, her jaw muscles relaxed and the rage inside her began to subside.

She turned to look at her good-hearted alpha, who had a look of concern in her face. Rayne nodded slightly, letting Lhuna know that she'd be okay. Rayne looked at the ground, recollecting what had happened only minutes ago. An odd sensation washed over her, making itself quite unwelcome in her senses. Curious to know what the crazy feeling was, she made the unfortunate mistake of looking up.

Her eyes locked with Zodiak's.

**Are there any humans? Like hunters and stuff?**

Hera and Talon - Black Tooth

Hera glanced at Talon worridly, only to have the same emotions returned. She dug her claws into the soft soid beneath her, eyes alit with several feelings. "I'll be back before the invasion," she said aloud, to nobody other than Talon. "I'm starving." It was a half-lie. She was hungry, but she also needed to warn Yellow Hill. Hopefully her brother would be someone close-by. She trudged around Summit Lake, glancing behind her many times. The wind was ruffling her fur from behind, which meant she was probably downwind from their camp.

Hera dragged her paws through the shallows, a small smile creeping on her lips while the minnows and tadpoles swam away. As she neared the border the scent of Yellow Hill grew even stronger. Instead of being stupid she sat right next to the border, still on Black Tooth territory. Hopefully, if it was the Spirit Wolf's will, her brother would come.

Bane - Yellow Hill

Bane glanced around at his pack members, licking the wound on his side the best he could before moving to his front leg. A strong wind, full of scents, ruffled all of his fur, almost causing him to stagger. Turning his nose up in the air he caught a faint scent of a Black Tooth, that bore the same scent as his litter mates did when he was a small pup. It was probably Hera. The wolves around him must not have smelt it, for they made no notice. Bane stood to his paws painfully, stretching his back. "I'll be right back. I'm going to sneak around and see if they left or not." He trotted off, through the forest, until he caught a glimpse of red and white.

Before he even came close to the border he was tackled to the ground, a wolf standing above him with a wide grin, yet worried eyes. The wolf licked his muzzle softly before smiling and backing off. "What happened to you Bane? You look like you just escaped a pack of wolverines." The wolf smiled, only to be given a simple, are-you-stupid look. "Oh... wait... Nobody died did they?" Bane shook his head.

"No Hera, now what did you come all the way out here for? You know you could get killed right? If not by my pack then by yours." Hera rolled her eyes, a wolfish grin on her snout.

"Oh please Bane, I'm made of steel," Hera smiled, only to have Bane roar in laughter. "Anyway, there's something serious I need to tell you. Once I tell you you've got to tell your pack."

"Okay," Bane smiled nonchalantly.

"Black Tooth is planning an invasion, tonight." A stick cracked and a bush ruffled, followed by a vicious growl.

*Anyone can jump in, perferably a Yellow Hill wolf*

Zodiak, Yellow Hill

Zodiak tilted his head slightly as Rayne looked up at him, with the most unfathomable expression.
"Are you okay?" she asked him, her eyes fleeing his.
Zodiak blinked. It was a rare occasion when Rayne spoke to him, she only really socialised with the wolves she was close to, such as the Alpha or little Storm.
He took a cautious step forward, his head still cocked to the side. "Um, I'm fine. But you kinda look a little weird, Rayne. Are you feeling okay?" he said as his forhead wrinkled in a little frown.
She nodded and looked to Lhuna, as all oof them waited for some form of command.
"Is anyone badly hurt?" Lhuna asked, swiveling around in a circle to look at all of her pack mates.
"Yiser hurt his paw, Lhuna." Zodiak looked to Yiser, who had a bloody paw lifted off the ground. He cast a quick look at Rayne one more time, before turning to Yiser. Lhuna licked Zodiak's face as a thank you for bringing the wolves to help. If the pack stayed together and worked as a team, they were almost impossible to beat. That was one advantage they had over the Black Tooth wolves.
Suddenly, an earsplitting howl tore through the night air. Zodiak's blood congealed when the scent of a Black Tooth wolf came with it. He saw Lhuna's ears swiveled to meet the sound, and her hackles raised. There would be more than one fight tonight.

*guys, here's the link to the DT: http://www.youngwriterssociety.com/topic47136.html Also, when you ask about hunters, Yellowstone is a national park so all the animals are protected. But there was a time in Yellowstone when hunters nearly wiped out the wolf population, I think in the fifties or so (I can't remember, sorry guys)*

(I didn't mean Sting would go to the raid, I just meant she was agreeing with it.)

Leo~Yellow Hill

As Storm and me reached camp, a disgusting scent hit us, followed by a fierce howl. I looked around to figure out whats going on when a vicious growl erupted from the edge of the clearing. . .and out step Viking, and some other wolves.

Great first I'm attack by wolverines and now Black Tooth's! I'm such a helpless pup!

"Hello Leo. Who's your little friend?" Viking asked with a evil twisted grin. I don't really remember Viking all that much, I just remember his temper problems. The wolves advanced on me and Storm. I tried my best to show no fear and growl, but I could feel myself whimpering a little.

"What a brave little pup. Trying to show no fear." The big all black one, (Lido) crowed in a evil voice. "We could use members like you in are pack."

"Stay away from us!" Storm growled as he stepped beside me, and tried to look bigger.

"What a cut. . ." before Lido could finish his words Storm bite his tail, and Leo bite his leg. He howled in pain, as he threw both of them off. They both fell over unconscious (since there young and all they don't have as much strength).
(Is it okay if Leo and Storm get kidnapped?)

*Awesome guys!*

Kayla~

Still dazed that Ghost even knew of my secret visits to the Yellow Hill Pack, I could barely keep up to what Lark was saying.

"I want to fight! C'mon you said so yourself Kayla! I got that mouse all by myself." Lark said whining and smiling at her acheivements at the same time.

I couldn't think straight since my mind was still on Ghost. I just stood there looking at Lark, like she wasn't a wolf at all.

"I think its best for you to stay at camp. Besides, a wolf is a hundred times bigger than a tiny mouse." Ghost said, already turning away.

Lark's tail dropped to the ground at Ghost's words. She looked at me to refute him but I nodded. As soon as Lark nodded her head as well, Ghost started walking off.

"Wait, where are you guys going? Lido went that way." Lark said pointing the opposite way.

Ghost looked at me and I looked at him.

"Um, right! Good job, Lark. I'm sure Ghost here was just a little confused." I said, stammering a little. As teacher, lying to one of my students was as hard as rock.

We started walking towards Summit Lake and Lark went back to camp. As soon as I couldn't hear Lark's footsteps in the distance, I quickly turned to Ghost.

"Promise me you won't tell anyone." I said, pleadingly, "Especially my father."

Before Ghost could respond, my father and Viking appeared out of the bushes, with two pups by their side.

"Kayla! What the heck are you thinking? You need to be fighting! I'm disappointed in you. Take these Yellow Hill scraps to camp since you're not worth anything else." Lido barked, kicking the pups toward me.
