**Okay - I'm going to try an re-insert Storm and Lark back into the plot - If anyone would like to begin interacting with them again, please do so...

Lark

Lark darted into a bush, whimpering. She heard the snarls and growls of the raid. Lark lay down inside the bush's hollow center, quivering. This bush was Lark's special hiding spot. Many times, if the pack were in some sort of fight, or in a raid, Lark had hidden here to keep safe.

Suddenly, there was a long, drawn out howl. Almost instantly, Lark could smell fear coming from the other wolves downwind. Not long after, there was a thunder of footfalls. Lark tensed, her muscles preparing to sprint away if her hiding spot was discovered. A panicked whine tore from her throat.

Listening intently, Lark realized that one of the charging wolves had stopped right in front of her bush. She backed away from the wolf's scent fearfully. The leaves above her rustled, and another pang of terror ran through Lark. The wolf was smelling her bush. The wolf knew she was there.

Storm

Storm pressed his body onto a rocky overhang near the lake. He inched forward until he could see the shore of the lake. He peeked his nose over the rock, panting with excitement. His face fell at the sight. Only Zodiak and Lhuna were there. Storm wrinkled his nose; only a moment ago he had heard the sounds of battle coming from over there!

"Hey!" called Storm, trying to get the wolf's attention.

**Okay - I'm sorry for any inaccuracies - If I've got anything wrong, just tell me and I'll edit.

Cana - Yellow Hill

"Cana wake up!" Bane's familiar voice called to me. "Cana please move!"

I opened my eyes with heavy effort. I looked to find Viking, Ghost, and Hera all gone. All left now were the two other Black Tooth Wolves.

"It's the White Wolf, here to claim the dead!" Bane shouted. "Don't be taken with them!"

I pushed myself up to a sitting position. The pain was subsiding already. "Oh, I'm fine Bane."

Bane sighed and looked to Kayla, the other wolf tried relentlessly to wake her.

"Is she...?" I looked to Bane. Hoping he would reassure me.

"I don't know." he said.

We continued to watch as panicked howls rose to the air and wove themselves into the purple clouds above the glassy black lake.

Kayla~

A beautiful white wolf appeared in the darkness, lighting up my unconcious thoughts.

Kayla, it is not your time. The she-wolf said, her icy blue eyes penetrating my soul. I knew who it was the minute I saw her. Sky-Lark. My heart warmed at her words.

You have much to do and learn, young one. Breathe. Sky-Lark said, still keeping her gaze pointed at me. However I was confused. Where was I? The only thing I could remember was Viking's muscular body, lunging at me. And Ghost. I could remember Ghost.

Breathe, Kayla. She said again but this time her mouth opened ever so slightly. An icy breeze seemed to ruffle my fur. Its coldness going down to the bone. I shivered and looked up but Sky-Lark disappeared. Before I could say anything, I could feel the wetness of the ground. My eye's fluttered open to see wolves surrounded me.

Ghost~ Black Tooth

After most of the wolves ran at the sound of the white wolf's name. Ghost started to run towards the spot were he left Kayla. When he heard a noise from a bush, he knew it was his duty to make sure that the Yellow Hill were gone. He went back and sniffed the bush, and heard a scared whimper.

"Lark?" he realized. "What are you doing in the bush?"

"Ghost!" she sounded relief to know it was him.

"You should be at camp. Or where ever Kayla told you to go." he scolded her.

"Ghost. . .Where is Kayla?" as if he just realized that she was still out there, he shot off.

"Wait up!" Lark called. Ghost ran up to where Kayla lay, he sniffed her and found that she smelt different. Lark stood frozen as if scared to see the state her teacher was in.

"Kayla. . .Kayla wake up. . .please." Ghost whispered into her ear, and if by magic her eyes began to flutter open.

"Ghost." she croaked out.

Tier

Lhuna let out a gasp as she came to, her wounds disappearing in the blink of an eye. All the young hunter could feel right now was a mixture of fear, awe and relief. Lhuna was not going to die. Justice had been done to them by the White Wolf this night. Zodiak was still looking at the empty air, and whispered a thankyou to it. As he did, Tier caught what seemed to be a flash of platinum fur in the moonlight.

Tier raised his head, seeking out the White Wolf's constellation. She shone particularly bright that night, and like Zodiak, Tier offered the skies a prayer of thanks for the first time in a long, long while. Then he started to dig at the rocks surrounding Lhuna.

Zodiak looked at him, perplexed, "What are you doing."

"We still need to get her out, don't we?" he turned his head back to Lhuna, smiling, "Don't worry. We'll have you out in a flash."

Ossal

As he skidded in to the Black Tooth territory, he heard on the sigh of the wind the unmistakeable sounds of fleeing wolves - panicked yipping and whining, hurried footfalls, the occasional terrified, mournful howl. The scent was congealed, there were both Black Tooth and Yellow Hill wolves in that mad rush for escape. "From what to they flee?" He murmured.

"From me." A voice spoke behind him. The shaman turned, finding himself face to face with Sky-Lark.

"Ah." He said, "It has been a long time."

"Five years, my friend, since I saw you last. It is a pity that you cannot manage the journey to my side of the sky." She smiled.

Ossal sighed after a few moments silence, "I know why you're here."

The White Wolf shook her head, "Not for you. For Lido. You are long of tooth and short of breath, my friend, but there is still life in you yet. You might he ready to leave, but your pack is not. They are still little more than frightened pups. Lhuna still needs your guidance. Star your knowledge. The others an elder, to remind them that they are not gods." The she-wolf let out an amused snort, in a very unspiritual fashion, "And the pups need an ogre, so their parents may keep them in line with the threat of feeding them to you."

Ossal chuckled, nodding, "How long do I have then?"

"I will visit you once more before your time. And you will know then. Now go to the others, let them know that this is not their night."

And suddenly, he could see tye first wolves bounding towards him, and stepped forward, ready to deliver his message.

He didn't look, but he knew Sky-Lark, one of the few speaking spirits, had now left.

Lhuna, Yellow Hill

The soft voice of Tier speaking to her was the last thing Lhuna heard before the White Wolf captured her mind and changed its course. She could feel herself moving away from his voice, deeper into some strange bleak land...
"I want to stay with him," she mumbled, twisting and turning, trying to free herself from the dream.
"No, young one, this you must see," came a voice that made her shiver as a cold breath of air whooshed over her.
Then, she felt the ground beneeth her. But this grass was strange. She could see it, feel it under her paws, but it bore no texture or colour. She blinked as she pushed herself into sitting position, gazing around at the black and white alien planet she seemed to have appeared in.
She spun her head around, looking for the source of the noise.
"Where am I?"
A rush of air, a flash of white. "Exactly were you where before, Lhuna." Lhuna blinked as she realised she was sitting right beside what appeared to be her body, lying motionless on the ground.
Her brows came up in a frown, as she saw Tier and Zodiak digging beneeth her body, trying to free her. Her mind reeled in confusion.
"So you have claimed my spirit, Sky-Lark." Her words seemed to echo of the trees.
"No, child."
She stood, her body no longer bearing the burden of injury. Another lightning fast streak of white as the wind ruffled Lhuna's fur.
"Then you've brought me here for some reason."
The leaves rustled as the beautiful she-wolf appeared in a mini tornado of fallen leaves. Her icy eyes were the only thing that bore colour in this strange place.
"You don't seem afraid."
Lhuna tilted her head. "Who must I fear?"
Sky-Lark smiled at her, her white muzzle wrinkling. "Me, of course. That is why the others flee before me, no?"
Lhuna sat and observed Sky-Lark with interested eyes. They twinkled with awe; she was actually speaking with the beautiful spirit from the stars.
"I do not fear you. I was ready to see you, when the rocks came down on me."
The spirit observed her with an expression Lhuna could not fathom. Her eyes twinkled as she said, "You are brave, young one. You sacrificed you own life for your family. I admire that."
Lhuna blinked in shock. She admires me? The great wolf of the stars, beautiful spirit, The Original Wolf, admires me?
Sky-Lark smiled wryly. "You may have been ready for me to take you to the stars, but I am not ready to take you, Lhuna."
Lhuna nodded slowly, putting her ears forward in earnest. "So I have not fullfilled my Calling, then?"
The White Wolf shook her head.
"I came here to give you a choice."
"A choice," Lhuna echoed.
"You may come with me to the stars, or stay to fulfill your Calling and lead your pack. But take heed; the journey ahead is a long and perilous one."
Lhuna said after a short hesitation, "Well, I like an adventure."
The Spirit threw back her head in a hearty laugh, looking at Lhuna with a twinkle in her eyes.
"Then, I have the perfect Calling for you. I have three phrophecies, so listen with an open ear and a sharp mind."
Oh no, here comes the cryptic message...
As if reading her mind, Sky-Lark said with a small smile, "If are are indeed Lhuna, then I know that a puzzle is your favourite game."
Lhuna smiled, and put her ears forward, ready to listen.
Sky-Lark nodded slowly, beginning to speak in a soft and slow voice. A sudden wind rushed threw the clearing, nearly blowing Lhuna off her feet with its icy cold wings.
"Beware the Pale-Face." Sky-Lark began to pace Lhuna as leaved swirled around the area violently.
"Trust the Green Soul." Sky-Lark stopped.
"Follow the North Star." Lhuna blinked in shock as her vision was consumed with a blinding light, and she began to spin and crash downwards. The last she saw of Sky-Lark were her wise, heaven blue eyes before her Spirit hit her body with a crash.
She came back to life, gasping and spluttering as a soft voice came into her mind.
"Be careful, young one. Now, open your eyes."
Instantly, her eyes snapped open. She was back where she had left her body behind, lying in a bloody puddle as the storm crashed around her. She looked up to see Tier and Zodiak gazing at her in wonder.
"Beware the Pale-Face..." she repeated the White Wolf's words, as the storm calmed and the heavens opened, revealing the morning sky above them.

Cana - Yellow Hill

Kayla moved slowly to a sitting position. She still looked terrible, but I felt she would recover.

Ghost howled a praise to the stars. Bane and I joined in. We heard other joyous cries in the distance, the howls of fear and battle had subsided.

"We should go back to camp." I said to Bane. "The others will be returning soon. We need to be doing the same."

He nodded and looked to Kayla, Ghost, and Lark. "Will you make it back alright?"

"Once we are back to definate Black Tooth territory we will be fine." he assured.

"What about Viking?" I asked. Surely it couldn't be entirely safe for Kayla back there.

"I'll protect her." Ghost said. "There are many in the pack that would defend her also, she is a valuable teacher."

I stood and bowed my head to them. Ghost and Kayla were the few good Black Toothers. Bane and I walked back to camp. Walking on my injuries was uncomfortable. I knew I would have to take it easy scouting for a while. This would be troublesome. With the Black Tooth invasion we would have to be on guard. I hoped I would recover quickly.

Kayla~

My vision was still blurry and I could barely understand what was going on. Ghost I knew was present and I could hear Cana in the background. A few others were around me but I couldn't make out who.

"Its ok, Kayla. I'm going to protect you. But now, we have to get back." Ghost's voice whispered in my ear.

"It hurts....and I'm tired." I managed to get out, exhaling deeply.

"I know. I'll be with you every step of the way." Ghost whispered. Soon, I felt his warm body under me, helping me off the ground. I slowly gathered up my strength to stand and started to walk. But after a few steps, my leg started to falter. I felt myself give way but Ghost was standing right by me. I leaned on him a little to keep walking. I felt a wet nose on my front leg and a small yelp. I turned to see Lark, walking along side me as well.

"I love you both...." I said, quietly.

Leo~Yellow Hill

Where did he go? She thought frantically to herself. Some time right after Bane brought them to camp Storm ran off some where. "Great I'm going to get in trouble for his disappearance." she said sourly. "Wait. . . What if the wolverines came back and got him!" Leo wailed to herself. At that same moment the wind blew, sending Storm scent to her. She bounded off in the direction, but soon lost his trail at the waters edge.

"I love you both. . ." Kayla whispered, sending a joyful feeling straight through Ghost. She loved him! He felt like he could do back flips he was so happy.

"I love you to." he whispered to her.

"Can you guys save it till your alone?" Lark asked, obviously grossed out by Ghost and Kayla's feelings. But Ghost could tell that she was happy that her teacher was going to be okay.

Okay, let's all pretend this happened before Sky-Lark showed up, k? Lol. Sorry it's so late!

Rayne - Yellow Hill Beta

Rayne circled the red wolf, who had already been beaten up - badly. Quiet growls and snarls slipped out of her throat as she eyed him murderously. He, too, was walking in a circle, watching Rayne with a similar hatred and viciousness. Sounds of the fighting wolves around them thundered in Rayne's ears, cranking up her ferocity and anger. Once it had boiled over the edge, she attacked.

Every quite growl and snarl she had let out came together to make one blood-curdling, bone-chilling, hair-raising roar. Rayne jumped at his face and clawed, bit, and tore everything she touched. She delivered bite after fatal, brutal, merciless bite. Blood sprayed her already reddened coat as she ripped his scarred flesh. He didn't put up too much of a fight, as he had already been beaten around previously. All the anger and hatred that had been built up inside her throughout the night was now being unleashed onto him like a thousand blood-thirsty hellhounds.

It was a quick - and easy - fight. Within moments, he was dead. Going back to hell where he came from. Before Rayne got the opportunity to continue fighting, an icy wind blew past all of them, causing every wolf to stop right were they were. Rayne eyed the sky fearlessly. A ghostly white figure appeared in the distance. Rayne's eyes widened slightly and her mouth dropped a little.

'Sky-Lark...' She thought to herself.

In an instant, all the wolves fled. She watched them run; some into the lake, the others into the trees. She looked around quickly, then ran into the lake after her pack. It wasn't until she was nearly half way across the lake that she remembered Lhuna. She considered going back, but knew that Lhuna would've wanted her to go back to their territory.

Rayne stumbled onto the opposite shore, surrounded by her exhausted pack mates, who had collapsed in the sand. She sat by them, remaining vigilant, her eyes locked on the cluster of giant boulders where Lhuna, Zodaik, and Tier were. She frowned worriedly, but sat by her family, not letting them see her worry and fear for their alpha.

Toxin - Black Tooth hunter

I tried to run, but it wasn't much of a success. All of my legs screamed with pain and agony as I sprinted as hard as possible in a desperate attempt to reach the Black Tooth den. I slowed to a trot as we came closer.

Everyone made it back - except, that is, for Lido and Viking. Good riddance. That must have been the reason Sky-Lark appeared. Much as I hated that black and yellow wolf, I hated Viking more, and I was glad she had killed him.

When the clearing in which we lived came into view, I was finally able to walk. Well, limp. When Sting saw me, a clear wash of relief flooded her face. She scampered over to me and I laid down beside her. She licked the blood off my face calmly.

Hera looked around. "Not that I care, but where's Viking?" She asked.

"Dead." I said flatly.

"Oh..." she responded, giving me an almost concerned look.

Sting curled up by my chest and stuck her head in the crook of my neck. I lowered my chin, protectively covering her tiny head. She was the only one I actually liked. And to some degree, Kayla, purely because Sting was positively in love with her and trusted her completely, and she was the only one who ever made an attempt at getting through to me. Oddly enough, I had kinda liked it, but that, in no way, meant that I wanted to open up.

Sting and I laid in that position for a little while longer.

Hope you liked the end of Viking ;)

Name: Spike

Age: medium age (not sure)

Appearance: big with blondish fur he has blue eyes. There is a scar over his right eye.

Pack: Black Tooth

Position: hunter

Personality: He loves to fight. He is not dumb though. He is full of intelligence that shows itself in very intricate plans to destroy other packs. Sadly, they all fall apart because he thinks killing them is too much fun. He wanders around looking for places to go where he can fight. He is very sarcastic and always has a laugh on hand. If it means a fight he will betray his tribe and do good. He is pleasure for all the wrong reasons, but not a completely bad guy.
Words - so innocent and powerless as they are, as standing in a dictionary, how potent for good and evil they become in the hands of one who knows how to combine them. ~Nathaniel Hawthorne

Lark - Black Tooth

"Can you guys save it till your alone?"

Lark saw Ghost and Kayla exchange a halfway amused look. Lark immediately felt awkward. Instinctively, she pressed closer to Kayla, but glanced away from the older pair of wolves.

They walked onward for some time, but Lark was not paying attention. The tenderness in the air between Ghost and Kayla was painfully obvious. Lark's ears lowered. She didn't belong with them. They were too happy, and deserved some time alone. Lark only wished she could leave them to their peace, but she was too afraid of being on her own again.

Storm - Yellow Hill

Storm watched as Leo made her way down the lake's edge, her nose sniffing furiously. She looked around, confused. Storm wagged his tail slightly. She had lost his scent... Storm crouched behind his scrub bush, waiting to pounce.

Leo was beginning to wander closer to him. Storm took his chance, and leaped from his hiding spot. He landed on Leo's back, and the two pups immediately began rolling around in the sand, playfully growling at each other.

*Aw, Ghost and Kayla, that's so cute! Also, medium age would be about four guys ;) Wolves rarely live for more than six or seven years in the wild.*
