Mikael

I roared in pain as my bones snapped and shrunk once more turning me back into the boy they all new. As i continued to writhe and shout my voice slowly lost its animal edge and i began to regain some meassure of control. When i finally returned to my human state i was too tired to move. A few moments later i realised i was the centre of attention. Then i realised why. Human clothes were definately too small for the monster cos right now i was naked and being stared at by everyone i knew.
"OMG can some one give me some clothes?" i ask blushing "please?" A few moments later i was curled up in someones coat feeling terrible.

Kyle~ (First person is so much easier)

Sabine still wasn't talking to me. I was fine with that. i had hurt her and I deserved it. Pollux kept reminding me that our father didn't let have a choice in the matter but this didn't appease me.

For some reason Drake divulged that the serum that the agency was looking for had recently come to them. It was a stain of the serum that created them. It was still in testing."

"We can't let them do to new kids what they did to us, We are going to bring them down." Adrianna said.

"Good I'll lead you there myself," Drake said.

"I couldn't help but think this was a trap, but it was at the moment it was are best bet. Unless my father was stopped we would always be hunted.

MIKE~~

"are you sure we can trust this guy" i asked. "he attacked us twice already, and works for the place that treated us like scum"

"its our only way in" Adrianna said.

"no" I said. "we know where it is, we can get in there and break in. this guy will probably just attack us or turn us in. and we barley won this battle, let alone another right after"

"well its out best shot" Adrianna said.

"no it isn't you can't just rush into everything cause you get a feeling. Espiacally when it is this dangerous" i said. "but if you want to die or go back to your cages go, but if you think I'll go with you your idiots. Now is there anyone with enough sense to come with me, or are you all off you chain." i saw a few look down and a few look at me with anger.

"i'm with you Mike" ryan said and joined me. then i waited for the others.

Mikael

"Me two" i replied from beneath my borrowed coat "No way am i going back to that hell hole. Also has anyone seen my boots?"

Adrianna

Adrianna glared after Mike and Ryan.

"Fine," she muttered. "Forget them."

She turned back to Drake. "You think you can get me in?" she asked severely.

Kyle coughed. "Us," he said quickly. Adrianna paid him no notice. No matter who accompanied her to stop the new experiment, Adrianna planned to find this 'Teax' man. Alone.

"I know I can," said Drake.

Adrianna gave him a curt nod. "You'd better," she said crisply.

Mike~~

"oh yeah before we go one thing" i said then sliced his leg with my knife. "that's for your friend and the pain" then the three of us walked away from the group. I strained my ears as i went and heard the snake boy scream in anguish as the venom hit him. Soon he would be unable to move, let alone lead the group into danger.

Sabine~

That night, everyone was hopeless. Adrianna seemed to be growing more distant everyday. None of us knew her true intentions.

The awkward silence was getting to me and the aura of distrust and paranoia was cutting gouging wounds into our hope.

I turned to Kyle who had been sitting next to me, very stiff, afraid that whatever he did would hurt someone.


"What are we going to do?" I asked him, frustrated.

Kyle~


"I know my father, we need a inside connection if we stand any chance. Do I trust him no, but I don't think we have a choice. I'm staying here." I said.

"An inside person, weren't you one of his soldiers, wouldn't you know the inside." SHe said

"Yes, that's not why I'm staying. I'm staying because I know what people like Drake are capable of. I'll send Pollux with the others, so they have the inside information, but I'm staying here to keep an Drake in check. I was once an agent, and I'm not going to leave Adrianne with someone like him."

Adrianna

Adrianna jolted awake to the sound of a ear-splitting scream. She jumped up and frantically ran for the tree that Drake was tied up on.

A long, thin cut extended down Drake's leg. Adrianna's eye widened. No... Her only link to her parents... The only one who could help her... NO!

"Emily!" she screamed desperately. "Emily! Get over here!"

Adrianna approached Drake.

"Who did it?" she snapped furiously. "Who? Tell me!"

"The one with the venom..." panted Drake. Adrianna gritted her teeth.

"Mike?"

Drake nodded. Adrianna's hands curled into fists. She heard thudding behind her. Adrianna spun around. Hailey, Sabine, Kyle, Bettina, and Emily stood behind her, staring.

"Emily!" cried Adrianna. "Mike - Knife - Probably poisoned - Help..."

Bettina gaped at Adrianna.

"Help him!" screamed Adrianna to Emily. "Oh, God, help him... Please..." She covered her hands with her face. As she looked up, Hailey had taken a bewildered step toward her.

"Are you - ?" began Hailey, putting a comforting hand on Adrianna's shoulder. Adrianna shoved away.

"Get off me," she spat. "Mike... If Drake dies... I'm going to get Mike... I'm going to get him, if its the last thing I do..."

Adrianna took one last look at Drake's whimpering form before running blindly off into the wood. An image of her parents hovered in the air in front of Adrianna. Adrianna couldn't let them go. Never.

Mike~~
i heard the scream from my spot in the bushes. I had come back after we set up camp to get Drake, then i had planned to wait here and talk to Hailey when the hype died down a bit. I heard Adrianna scream for vengeance and laughed. She could talk all she wanted but i had a venom for almost everything including a power neutralizer i hit Drake with when i slashed him. I waited for the noise to die down then i crawled up to the bushes surrounding the clearing they were in. Bettina seemed to be perplexed on how to cure Drake.

I waited for them to abandon them then i started for Hailey. I shook her awake then saw her look around to the others, mainly Adrianna at my sight.

"Mike why are you here" she whispered sharply

"because i can't just let you walk into the prison again. with a Psycho like Adrianna leading you." i said softly. "now i won't force you to come with me, but i want you to. I'm fine if you don;t want to, sort of. But i just needed to see you before i left" And with that i waited for her answer.

Mikael

I followed Mike to the clearing and was quickly welcomed by the little voice i had been waiting for. Mikael souted Bettina gleefully in my head You came back!I could imagine the gleeful smile on her face and it made me feel better. Yeah i came back i thought hiding my happiness behind a gruff facade but only to ask you to come with us. They shouldn't be including you in something like this. It's not safe for you.
B...but they might need me an..and stuffshe thought. I could tell she was upset. Torn between the other girls and her pretend big brother.
Well it's upto you but im going back to my camp. I'm sure you'll make the right decision. With that i dissapeared into the undergrowth and headed back to our camp.

Hailey

Such an awful thing, such a tragedy to have the group torn apart and here I was caught in the middle. I didn't want to lose Mike (or Ryan and Mikael either but Mike most of all) and yet I felt that Adrianna needed me, I felt that somehow I would be able to reach her if I only persisted, if I only tried.

Adrianna had since returned from her search and I was glad that she had not found Mike and settled down to rest with the others. Drake had been treated and was looking better though Emily and Bettina were sitting up with him. I hadn't been able to coax the little girl to sleep but knew no harm would come to her. No one would allow that.

Then I was awoken and there was Mike, talking to me, asking me questions. I responded as well as I could, coming more awake with every answer and then came his question: would I go with them.

"Won't you stay?" I asked, biting back the tears.

"No," Mike said. There was no ring of truth in his voice, only a hollow determination that gave his face an almost destructive quality.

"I can't... I... I'm needed here." I tried to take his hand and our fingers touched briefly but the sound of movement jerked us apart. I stared around us and saw that Adrianna had turned in her sleep, her face now tilted toward us, the moonlight playing on her features.

I looked back at Mike. He was tense, on the edge; ready to leave. "Please don't go," I entreated.

Mike~~

"i'm sorry" i whispered. "i can't" and then with that i ran off. i had make sure though to cut Drake two more times though as i did. then i saw Michael and gestured him on and did the same with Ryan when i saw him. We ran back towards our camp there we discussed our plan.

"well we know we can't go back to our homes" i said. "sense they sent us here they might just send us back"

"yes, that is true" Mikael said. "but we need to get supplies to, so i suggest we find the nearest town"

"i know the way there" Ryan said. "i was running around there after my escape. I know it pretty well by now. Plus the sewers make okay hide outs, they don't reek that bad and are empty of water."

"okay then" i said. "tomorrow you lead us there. Then we come back here"

"why?" both Mikael and Ryan asked.

"because, i have a gut feeling those guys are going to get in trouble" i said. "and we might need to save the bone heads. And plus the guards are probably going to look for use there."

Adrianna

Adrianna awoke slowly. Sunlight filtered in through the tree's canopy. Automatically, Adrianna glanced toward Drake. His leg was bandaged as well as the Zodiacs could manage, under the circumstances. No other harm seemed to have befallen him through the night. Adrianna insisted on sleeping near him for that purpose. Adrianna never had been a heavy sleeper; she would have woken up if something happened.

Adrianna stood up slowly, stretching out her muscles. She looked at Mike again, and saw Emily and Bettina snoring softly on the ground beside him. Obviously they had kept some sort of vigil.

Adrianna bent down to inspect his leg. It looked okay, but -

Emily jerked awake. Adrianna looked up at her.

"Can he walk?"

She looked doubtful. "Not much, if at all..." she yawned. Adrianna groaned internally. Another delay. her parents might not be able to wait that long.

Adrianna straightened herself and walked away. everything was happening too suddenly for her. The Zodiacs escaped. She had that dream about her parents. They were attacked by Drake. Drake was now to lead them to Teax. Alliances were failing, new ones were being made in their stead.

But all Adrianna thought of was her parents. Her parents. She was only seven when they left. Only seven. Adrianna recalled bitterly the week that she had been left to survive on her own, forgotten. Then one day another black Hummer pulled up in front of her house. Adrianna had momentarily rejoiced, thinking her parents had come back. they didn't. It had been Traux, a new Traux, one that had just been assigned Head of Project Zodiac. And the government had singled Adrianna out as a prime participant... She'd been one of the first recruitments. The first few months in the compound had been spent in misery. Adrianna was confined to her room for most of the time. Then one day Traux came in and announced she was ready. A team of scientists and doctors had led her away. Adrianna remembered waking up four days later and having to take a pill for the next two years. Every day. Slowly, she had begun to realize her new powers as they appeared. New children were inducted into the program, and slowly Adrianna had lost hope that anything would ever happen. Then Traux began to send them on espionage missions. Adrianna's spirit reawakened, and she began the careful planning that led into and escape. She watched the other's pathetic escape attempts snidely, and waited patiently until the perfect opportunity came. It had come, and now, here she stood.

~Emily~

I looked back up at the starry sky and thought about... well, everything. I had just healed the guy who probably hated me for breaking his nose, I had run off from secret government facility, I had gotten super-powers (in a way, not like the cool ones everyone else seemed to have), and now I was running around... and now I was sitting on my butt, waiting for our next move.

I had decided to become the person that never gets any glory, the one that sits in the background and cheers the hero on. Things would be easier that way. All I had to do was survive, be a tool for everyone else, and I could live a perfect life. Simple, right?

Adrianna had seemed like she wanted snake-boy... Drake the High-and-Mighty to be well as soon as possible. Even if I did use every ounce of energy I had in me to speed the healing up (which, I found, I could do) it'd take at LEAST a day or two for him to be able to walk. It was a deep gash. Yawning, I figured I might as well try.

When I put my hand on his ankle I found I couldn't let go as a vision flashed around my eyes. It was Drake, killing countless people, terrifying them. The screams of the souls he took echoed in my mind as I tried to pull my hand away. It looked like someone had super-glued it to the guys ankle. When the horrifying visions stopped and I pulled I tumbled backwards. I could feel my eyes widen as I lay there. Shaking my head I got back to where I was before and tried to sleep. It didn't work.
