Adrianna was forced roughly out of the van. Grinning, the female agent strapped a pair of reflective sunglasses on Adrianna.
"See these?" she smirked as she snapped the glasses around Adrianna's head so she couldn't knock them off. "You can't use your lovely little power if you can't get eye direct eye contact... These babies will protect that from happening."
Adrianna kept impassive. She had expected something like this; Teax wouldn't be such a trusting fool as Traux had been and let the Zodiacs run unchecked.
Adrianna was guided roughly to a room similar to a prison cell. It had a small cot on one end, and an old, grimy toilet on the other. Once inside the room, the female agent checked the roped around Adrianna's wrists carefully. She left the room before Adrianna could react.
Adrianna sat down pensively on the cot. She hoped Teax would give Drake a reason to visit her soon. They needed to talk.
I ran into the hall and let my power free. This time the transfomation was not so painful, almosyt as if my body had evolved ready for the pain. I charged down the corridors bounding ahead smelling so many potential targets i began to lose control. With all these targets my body changed again driving my body to the limit of pain. My spine lengthened and my muscles swelled, my teeth lengthened and i developed a strange gland on the back of my head which began leaking a strange fluid into my bloodstream driving me wild.
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.
Mike~~
I looked at Mikael. He seemed to have it covered so i ran. But i made sure to whisper. "don't get to carried away" into Mikael's ear before. I jumped over the guards easily and then ran for the office. It was on the top floor of the jail we were in. I had passed it many times. It was a steel sliding door, that was usually locked. But not from above. As soon as i was near i hopped into the vents then dropped into the office. I looked at the man in front of me. He was sitting at his desk looking over some papers. He seemed to not even notice me but after a few moments he glanced up at me.
"how did you get in here guard" he asked. Oh yeah i forgot to say i changed into a guards uniform.
"it was open, i was told to come here. The scientists need some sort of form." i said sounding very nervous.
"i think i know the one" he said and dove into his draw. He then came out with something but it sure was not a form. It was a gun, i was not sure what kind but i think it was a pistol. "i know your not a guard, you know."
"i didn't think it would work. I mean you must have seen me a million times already." i said.
"yes Micheal i do know you, though it did take a moment for me to."
"well then if you know who i am then you know that bullet won't work on me." i said this and then pointed to my know purple tinted skin. Then with another thought it turned completely scaly. This would make it even harder for him to hurt me.
"yes, i know. I was hoping the you would be afraid of it. But i should expect more from my own work." That's when i saw it. As he said this he moved a few papers, and an alarm was reveled. I knew he would not hit though so i dove for it. I quickly pressed down on it and then i heard not even a tone go out. But that was it. I knew it would be silent, so i would have not know if he had hit it.
That's when i made the mistake though. When i dove for the button the gun pressed against my scalp. I should have known it was a trap. He got me close to get a clear shot at my head. The back of my head was the only weak spot of my amour. And he had it.
Then suddenly the guards came in. The cuffed me and then brought me out. Great. Now i was captured, I could only Hope that Mikael and Ryan would be able to get the others out, so at least my failure here would not be a total let down.
My father brought us in two at a time to see him The first group was Haily and Bettina. When they cam out they had agreed to the mission. Then Adrianna went in and when she came out she had agreed. They dragged me and and Sabine in. My father sat at his desk, flanked by Drake and Melony.
"I need to collect new specimens, and you'll be helping me."
"And why should we," Sabine asked.
Drake sent a bocastrictor out of his sleeve and it wrapped around Sabine and began choking the life out of her.
"Now son, will you be going on the mission," my father asked politely.
"Yes, I'll go, now let her go." I screamed
Drake pulled the snake back to him
Melony smiled and tackled me crushing me to the floor. Then began to punch me in the ribs where my faher had kicked me with brutal strength. Her fists aslo punched me in the face. I realized she was going to beat me to death.
*You can pick off from your meeting with Teax, and what he did to you to get to you. Texan you are the only one that has no ties, so you can refuse.*

Ryan~~
i failed horribly. I was going though the vents, which i was unfamiliar with and then fell into the guard lounge. I was such a bone head.
Mike~~
i sat in Teax's office. i was chained down with three guns pointed at my head. I looked at the man in front of me with angry eyes. Man at this moment i wanted to tear through his head. But even if i could tear through these chains i would be shot and dead.
"so Mr. Hepken, do you accept" Teax said with a sly smile.
"why would i do that." i screamed. " i hated you and i hate this place what would i help you fill it."
"because of this." he said holding up a picture of Hailey to my eyes.
"if you hurt one hair on her i swear i will tear you apart." i was now standing up stretching to the man the chains holding me back.
"well i won't have to do that Mr. Hepken." he said. "that is if you help me that is."
I was torn. I didn;t want to help him do his dirty work, but i also couldn't let Hailey get hurt. I was torn between between head and heart. Not helping head, Haily heart. In the end though my heart won. "fine" i said looking at the floor and now sitting. "I'll help you."
I was pushed into a chair. A couple of guys aimed their guns at my head, like I cared. There was a guy behid a desk in front of me, and he asked a few stupid questions like "Do you know why you're here?" and "You see..." Eventually, after giving me more details then I really wanted, he got to the point by saying
"And so, you are going to help us gather people to test next."
I burst out laughing.
"Yeah right. There is no way I am going to help you ruin more lives. Personally, I love what's happened to me, but some of the other 'Zodiacs' hate it. I will NOT assist in such a thing."
"Yes, you will," he said his voice icy, a terrible grin on his face. He lifted a picture of my dad into sight. I knew what he was doing. He was saying If you don't help me, I'll kill him. Like that phased me a bit.
"You're going to get rid of him for me? Thanks, it'd be saving me a heck of alot of time." I snickered. Then he pulled up a picture of my one-time boyfriend, which he must've gotten from good-old dad.
"Oh, you didn't get the memo? He's my ex now. I don't really care what you do to him." The guy's frown dissapeared. He waved to the men behind me and they raised their guns.
"Please, kill me. I mean, what have I got to live for?" They seriously prepped their guns. Dang. "I just have a few juicy secrets, knowledge beyond compare, and it would all be going down with me. No big deal."
I must've flipped that little switch in the back of his head, because he called down the guards and said "Tell me." I laughed again.
"In your dreams!" I shouted. He sat back and grimmaced.
"Take her to Interrogation."
Religion without science is lame; science without religion is blind.
Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.
Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school.
I couldn't forget what Adrianna had said or the knowledge that she'd wanted us to get caught, that finding her parents meant more to her than all her lives. That was one secret I'd keep for her now and always, one that would truly destroy any chance that we had to be friends, to get along.
However, as I was taken to see Teax, for just a moment it was forced to the back of my mind and I listened with horror to his proposal. Bettina looked so fragile, despite her brave smile that warmed my heart, that made me want to smile back if only to reassure her.
"Will you do it?" Teax asked. I knew straight away what would happen if I said no. I couldn't face it. Not even just a little push to show he meant business so before he could even touch her I said:
"Yes but the moment Bettina or any of the other zodiacs is harmed by your hand, the deal is broken." Teax hesitated and shook his head.
"I make the rules," he said. "You will help me and you will do it as long as a single one of your friends still breathes. You will be my most loyal puppet." I was still choking on his words when his hand wrapped around my neck just minutes later and Bettina screamed her agreement through her tears. I did not speak again for a long time. We were led out, past the others waiting their turn and back to our seperate cells but we were placed in opposite cells so each could see the other through the bars. It would only be temporary. Soon enough, we'd be free to go along with his plan. Free in every sense except the one that mattered most.
Adrianna was led into Teax's room. She scowled as she looked around. Her sunglasses were severally reducing her eye for small details in the room, details that could be important. Adrianna jerked her head sideways, trying to be rid of a persistent itch under the strap; one that she couldn't scratch because of how tight the band was wrapped around her head.
Adrianna turned her gaze to the man standing behind the desk, watching her pensively. Adrianna felt like she had been punched in the stomach. It was him.
"Ah... Young Adrianna, how you've grown..." he whispered nastily. Adrianna felt herself being pushed into a chair in front of the desk. Adrianna kept her gaze carefully on the man, most likely Teax, who she had last seen with her parents.
Adrianna's guards melted into the back of her mind. It was just Adrianna and Teax, alone. Adrianna was sure that was how he wanted it.
"How long has it been?" he mused, crossing to the front of his desk and leaning against it casually. "The last time I saw you, oh, you couldn't have been more than eight - "
"I was seven," hissed Adrianna, her voice cracking.
Teax looked at her. "So you do remember me? Good. That makes things simpler."
Teax lowered his face to Adrianna's level. "You're parents are alive."
Adrianna's eyes widened. She was glad the man could not see it, as it would show her weakness. Adrianna sat up straighter, her body humming with anticipation.
The man smiled slyly and straightened.
"I'm believe I remember Drake telling me that he informed you about my new experiment?"
Adrianna nodded.
"I want you Zodiacs to find new candidates for me."
Adrianna licked her lips. Could she condemn some child to the life she had? Adrianna thought she knew where this was going. Teax would offer her a bargain; her parents for a job done. Adrianna decided to stay quiet, to wait until she had more information.
Teax was inspecting her face carefully. A genuine smile spread across his face.
"You are your parent's child, aren't you? Tell me, how many espionage tips did they pass on to you before their, ah, unfortunate disappearance?"
Adrianna gritted her teeth. "You make it sound like an accident. It wasn't an accident and you know it."
Teax frowned. "Apparently they didn't impress upon you the value of silence..." he paused unhappily. "That is too bad. You could have been even more useful."
Adrianna tensed, moving to the edge of her seat, ready to spring if she had to. Teax noticed this coolly, and glanced behind Adrianna. A guard, one that Adrianna had been ignoring, came from behind her and shoved her back into her seat.
"I am not a tool to be used," spat Adrianna furiously. "One thing my parents did teach me, if indirectly: Never, never, be broken. Never trust. Only in isolation can you survive. That was my one lesson. My parents let their guard down; look what happened to them! I'm not, and never will be, your pet!"
Teax's slimy smile returned. "Wise, for one so young..." he breathed. "However..."
Teax moved forward to put an arm around Adrianna. Adrianna stiffened automatically. Teax paused, gloating, before continuing.
"Your parents are alive, Adrianna," he hissed silkily in her ear. "If you want them to stay that way, you'll have to get off that high horse of yours. You will need to become my agent, a creature of my creation... Will you?"
Adrianna closed her eyes painfully. She knew this had been coming.
"Yes," she breathed. It was the hardest syllable Adrianna ever had to choke out.
"so Ryan, will you help us." Teax asked me flatly.
"why would i want to help you guys." i asked him. "you have hunted me and hurt me, so why would i want more hurt." i was now sulking in my chair tied to the arms.
"well then, i guess your parents will be leaving." he said.
"what my parents." i said now slightly more peeved. He had them. "where are they."
"well right now i don't know, but i will have that info in about 5 to 10 minutes time, then dispose of them in a few hours after that." he said. He looked at me like he was he was digging into my soul, trying to find what made me tick.
"no." i said. "I'm not going to help you, no matter what." I would never help him hurt more. He would never break me no matter what he said, i would not join him. He would not control me like his puppet, making me do chore after chore, yo hurt more. Either way i would have guilt, but i knew my parents would not want me to save them just to hurt others. Plus more guilt would come from the other and keep coming.
"very well." he said plainly then he clapped his hands and i heard to guards come in. They untied me and then carried me out to my lonely cell.
Melony was out but Sabine got the message and agreed to help. With are agreement he had us lead back to our cells. I mentaly sent Pollux to her cell to see if she was ok. It was all I could manage since our powers had been dampened. Tomorrow we were going to be sent out to hunt for my fathers newest toys.
This is one little planet in one tiny solar system in a galaxy that’s barely out of its diapers. I’m old, Dean. Very old. So I invite you to contemplate how insignificant I find you.
I was finally realized. I had very little sleep that night, and I could almost feel my bags. Three guards brought me to a long hallway i had been to many times. They lead me down and then i saw them. My feeling were torn, i wasn't sure to either cry from sadness or to jump in happiness. But i ended up just getting a frustrated look after a guard kicked me. falling I landed on my face. Looking up i saw Kyle there, along with the others. I saw a few surprised looks at the sight of me with a mix of sorrow for me. I got up then looked at the others. Trying to give a confident smile I failed and ended up giving a frown. then i saw Drake and was about to lunge when the chains that held me were pulled by the guard. The mission was going to begin. And i hated being part of it.
I'd been in this closet for at least a day. Having given myself entirely over to my gift in order to save my friends i had lost myself in the creature. After my initial rush and with the capture of the others i had been left here. Surely they had seen my on the cameras? But no one had come for me. I'd been left to dig myself a nest in the heart of our enemies headquarters popping out to feed. During the first couple of hours i had managed to rise to the top and i had been disgusted by my bloodied hands and the peices of half eaten guards. That had made me sick and disgusted until my gift replaced me and continued digging in and getting comfortable in a lonely janitors closet.
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.
Adrianna gazed at the other Zodiacs, and most of them were glaring back at her. Adrianna remained unfazed. Mere glares could not harm her. Adrianna's gaze drifted to Hailey, who was the only variance in the universal glares. She stared back at Adrianna, wide-eyed and slightly fearful. Adrianna wondered what that was about...
Adrianna turned away. She wasn't part of them. She never would be. Ironically enough, though, all of the Zodiacs shared a common wish; no one wanted to recruit more children to this fate. Adrianna certainly didn't, but she had too much riding on the outcome of this mission.
Deep inside her, though, Adrianna knew she needed allies if her parents were to be saved. The only people she would be in contact with would be the Zodiacs. Grimacing, Adrianna turned around to face the Zodiacs once more. Now was the time to start making allies.
Adrianna moved toward the other Zodiacs casually. She noted Sabine's weary look. Adrianna ignored her and looked to them as a group. Adrianna swallowed to get rid of a sour taste in her mouth at the thought of what she was about to do.
"... Hello, er," Adrianna grimaced. Best to speak in their 'lingo'. "guys... This - This really... sucks, doesn't it?"
