Seeing August walk across her lawn Kasie grabbed one of her old books and chucked it from her window, laughing aloud when it came in contact with his back. He turned and glared at her window, which, of course, she was hiding under. Her laptop dinged and she crawled over to it, opening the first IM. Heyy where were you after school? It was Travis.

She laughed to herself before answering. I left early cause I got 'sick' in sex ed.

Lol, makes sense. I feel bad for you considering that it's Friday. Yeah, that made a lot of sense huh? a Friday as the first day of school.

Why? She laughed aloud as she typed.

You live next to Jones and he had a huge party every other Friday. At that she groaned aloud.

Are you coming?

Of course! We always crash it and we come in 'cognito'. Like something other than the regular stuff. Kasie smirked and looked over to the corner of her room, where a short black dress hung.

You mean all snazy and stuff. She laughed as Travis sent a nodding smiley face. Okay I'll be there in 'cognito'.

She logged off and walked over to the window, watching August as he greeted early arrivers. He looked good suprisingly. In a crisp white Hollister shirt and a pair of simple jeans with his short hair still wet. "He looks ho- No! Kasie! Stop there!" She yelled at herself aloud and walked over to the dress, smirking to herself.

***Sweet***

August smiled at Kyle who walked up wiht his girlfriend at his side. She smiled at him.

"You could be a little more original with your parties." kyle laughed.

"Ya, and amybe you could get a new girlfriend." August teased.

"I'm not getting rid of her. I'm stuck with her." Kyle smiled before kissing his girlfriend of three years. They walked in and he slipped inside letting everyone else just filter in on their own. He glanced at the door at one point and nearly chocked when he saw Kay walk in in a stunning black dress. She was HOTT!

**This is what she's wearing but with fishnet tights and this is Travis**

Kasie played with the end of her dress, sighed in relief when Travis walked in with everyone else. "Wow Kase, you clean up good," Kasie smiled and eyed the everyday clothes they were all wearing.

"And you're a butthole. You told me to dress snazzy," she pouted and Travis mocked her playfully.

"I was going to see what you came up with and... well... wow." Kasie whined teasingly and covered her eyes, pretending to fake cry.

"Well now I feel like a skank," she whined, sniffing fakely and whiping her eyes. By now everyone else had dispersed to do their own things, leaving only Kasie and Travis, who had an arm draped over Kasie's shoulders.

"And you look like one too!" It was only a joke but Kasie hit him in the chest anyway before pouting again. Her snakebites were gone, instead she had a single piercing on the left side of her lip, a bar through her tongue, five bangles on each wrist and a black necklace. A quick song that both Travis and Kasie knew came on and they grinned at each other. "May I hate this dance Miss Skank?" Travis bowed.

"You may Mister Asshole," Kasie curtsied mockingly and grabbed his hand, both dancing in synch with the song.

August nearly growled when he saw Travis and he group walk in. He hadn't wanted Travis to stop hanging with them. But everyone on the team just stopped talking to him when he started beeing a pain in the ass after his injury.

"Let's dance." Ally, one of the main girls that hung around him and the others smiled. She wasn't like most girls. She just hung out with them because she got along better with guys. She was like a little sister to him, and a best friend.

"Alright." They started dancing and she kept glancing over at Travis. He knew she used to have a huge crush on Travis. "You should talk to him."

"No, he hates me." Ally replied. August laughed.

"No one hates you Ally. Except maybe a few girls." He smiled.

"He does, and hell like I know why. Ever sense that stupid accident he won't talk to me like he blames me, and all y'all."

In mid-spin Kasie let go of Tavis' hand and burst into laughter, holding her stomach and stepping back so she could support herself agaist the wall. Travis laughed along, just not as hard. "It wasn't that funny," he chuckled lowly and Kasie whiped her humor-filled eyes. Every step he had took he had stepped on her foot, making her wince in pain, but now she just found in hilarious.

"I-I'm not d-dancing with you anymore," she giggled, "Y-you might break m-my foot!" Travis laughed and rolled his eyes, looking over at a girl that stood next to August. He'd been looking at her a lot lately. Kasie laughed inwardly and shoved him over to her, which only made him glance back at Kasie angrily, his expression soon changing to greatfulness. Kasie waved teasingly, a triumphant smile crossing her face as Travis and the girl walked off to talk. Her phone vibrated and she stepped out into the cool night air, her breath fogging as she answered the phone to talk to Samuel, who was calling yet again.

August smiled a little as he saw Travis and Ally talking. She was playing with her hair that was down and chewing on her lower lip. He knew that was how she acted when she really liked someone. He smiled a little, she still liked him, she wasn't one to normally like anyone. He sure as hell Travis didn't break her heart again. He might kill Travis this go around. He watched Kay walk out of the house. When she didn't come back for a while he stepped out towards where she was. He walked to the door and spotted her as she hung her phone up.

"You know, that was a good thing you do." he said as he walked over to her.

"What?" She demanded.

"Getting Travis to talk to Ally." he replied.

Kasie shrugged indifferently, staring down at the phone in her hand. Samuel, the bastard, calling her to tell her that they all rolled Brother Dalton, one of the teachers at her old school's yard. "I just kept noticing him staring over there a lot." She glanced over to her house, where Coon had her front paws on the window sill, howling loudly at Kasie. "It sucks that he screwed up his knee in tenth grade. I guess you guys learned your lesson about not joking around in a construction site." August stared at her like she'd figured out the biggest secret in the world.

"Who told you about that?! It was Travis wasn't it? Oh, I'm going to k-"

"It wasn't Travis you idiot!" He looked back at her and she smirked slightly. "My uncle was one of the workers there and he told me about it."

"Oh."

"Yeah, oh. Y'know, you jump to conclusions really fast."

"It's one of my bad habits." He shrugged. "I'm sure you have some too."

Kasie drummed her fingers on her upper thigh, biting her lip ring. "That's two," August suddenly said, causing Kasie to look up at him, confused. "Biting your ring and drumming on something with your figers. Those are two of your habits," he smiled and Kasie laughed, shaking her head before freezing and widening her eyes. She laughed in front of the devil child. August seemed to be smiling triumphantly and Kasie stuck her tongue out, wincing as another of Coon's howl broke across the almost quiet night if the booming house wasn't counted. Taking up her habit yet again Kasie ran her tongue over her ring and continued to drum her fingers, eyes locked on the stars above.

Kasie shook her head and took in a deep breath, the air fogging once she exhaled. "I'm good. It's a little crowded in there." She smiled lightly, still playing with the lip ring.

"August! There you are!" Two blondes ran out and gripped August's arms on both sides, attempting to pull him back into the house.

"See ya," Kasie laughed, shaking her head before shuddering violently. She hated the cold with a burning passion. She didn't have a clue why it got cold so fast. She had been sweltering earlier that day. Striding across the street to her truck, which was parked off to the side, she opened her door, climbing in and turning the heat on. The door to August's house was ajar and she could clearly see both of the blonde grinding on him. She laughed loudly and leaned her head back, eyes still on the open door.

After a while Kasie got sick from watching the girls and turned her radio on, singing along with the song an slowly falling asleep.

Kasie yawned widely, stretching her arms above her head. She looked down at her body, noticing that her dress was hitched up to her waist and she was in the floor board of her truck. She groaned and pulled her dress down, pulling herself back up and into the seat. God, what would her mom think? Just as she was about to get out off the car her eyes ran over a letter that was on the dashboard.

Dearest Kasie, it read.

It's Mom. I found you in the truck this morning before throwing my bag in the back of my car. If you check your cheek you'll see that I left you a kiss. I'm sorry I couldn't say bye properly before heading back home. Your father called me and told me to tell you that there weren't any schools close by, and that he'd pay your way through college as long as you get that academic scholarship. I'll call you when I get back to my house, which is going to be empty now that your gone. Your house is all unpacked at your uncle said that he should have the center finished by next week. Call your father later, please.

Love you, Mom

She sighed and ripped it in half, sliding out of the truck and throwing both pieces on the ground. Her mom was gone, again. It didn't bother Kasie much. It wasn't like it was the first time her mom had walked out on her, but, the first time Kasie had her dad to rely on to get her through her fifteenth sixteenth year.

The second she walked inside Coon attacked her, knocking her out of the doorway and back onto the old steps of her house as he licked her face furiously. She laughed lightly, rubbing him between the ears.
