August tumbled to the ground with her on top of him. he didn't know what to say, so he decided to crack a joke.

"For a little virgin you sure seem to want to be on top." He blurted out. Good going, ass hole. He growled to himself.

At his words Kasie could help but mess with her piercings. But, instead on licking them, she bit down hard, face turned away before she punched him in the chest. "You're such a jerk!" She screamed in his face before jumping to her feet and running around to the driver's side of her car. She slammed her door shut and locked all the doors, burrying her face into her knees. She hated it here already and it was only her first day. Something stung her eyes and she pulled away quickly, only to find her knees soaked with tears. Why the hell am I crying?! She thought angrily, wiping her eyes, which of course, only brought more tears.

August swallowed hard slowly getting up and looking at her car. He walked over and tapped on the glass. "Sorry, I shouldn't have said that. I was being jubbled mouth."

Once she dried her face she slammed her arm back against the glass, making sure it at least hurt his nose, and cranked her truck, yanking out of the school driveway and speeding off. Taking a sharp turn down an deserted street she stepped on the gas, speeding down it until a large building came into view. She stepped out of her truck and smiled at the workers before jogging inside the building where a once handsome, middle aged man was shouting out orders. "Uncle Tyler?" Kasie smiled lightly, her voice only cracking once.

"Oh! Kasie!" He gave her a huge bear hug. "How are you? Like what we've done with the place?" Both began to walk around the building, Kasie's eyes wide.

"I'm great and I love it! It's perfect! Now, you're going to do the kennels like we planned right?"

"Of course kid! We also put in a little examine room in the back for whenever you graduate college and everything." Kasie laughed lightly.

"Well that was very thoughfull of you Uncle Tyler!"

"Anything for my best friend's little girl. Why aren't you in school? Bad first day?" Kasie just nodded.

"Yessir. There's this jerk that's in every single one of my classes." Tyler seemed to know who she was talking about.

"August Jones?" She nodded again. "That kid's infamous around here. Always causing some type of problem. Two years ago he and his friends her playing near one of the construction sites and one of the kids got his knee crushed by a falling beam. Stupid kids."

"The boy didn't die did he?" Tyler laughed and shook his head.

"No, just screwed it up and was never able to play football again. I think his name's either Travis or Trevor." Kasie just nodded and the conversations continued until it was time for Kasie's school let out.

"Crap, gotta go Uncle Tyler! I'll be by tomorrow!"

"Kay kid! See you then!" Kasie ran out to her truck and sped back down the road, narrowly escaping three crashes with another, much newer and nicer, truck. She parked the truck and ran into her house, throwing her bag on the floor and running up to her room. She threw open her windows, and instantly got to work.

"What the hell!" August yelled hwen Kay nearly ran into him. He nearly spewed out more cuss words when he saw her pull into the house across the street from his. "Just great!"

He pulled up into his garage and walked around back putting the gentle leaders on both of his dogs and then hooking the leases to them. His dogs were his babies, one was a huge Rottweiler the other aHusky. Both danced at the end of the leashes ready to go. The little rotty pup ran over and he smiled hooking a small leash onto his tiny little collar. He loved coming for a walk with the bigger dogs.

He ran down his drive way after scooping up the puppy and started his two mile run. He'd go for two miles and then walk back letting the pup walk.

Kasie groaned out a stream of cuss words upon seeing that August lived across the street and stuffed a load of books in her bookshelf. A loud howl eurupted from downstairs and Kasie laughed to herself, spirits suddenly lifted. She whistled loudly, getting answered with a bark, and stuffed more books in her bookcase before being bombarded by her german shorthair. "Hey Coon girl," Kasie laughed again as Coon's whole body swayed side to side when she wagged her tail.

"Kasie! I'm ho-" before her mom could even finish Coon suddenly took off and ran through the front door. Kasie watched from above as her puppy streaked after August. She groaned and got to her feet, running after the yong dog.

August didn't relieze he was being followed until the dog ran up alongside them. He looked down at it and smlied when he saw both of the bigger dogs tense a little bit. He slowed to a walk and let Engine and Arbor greet the dog.

"COON!" He heard someone yell. He turned towards the voice and saw KAy. Joy

Camo, the pup, started wiggling in his arms trying to get down so he could meet the new dog to. He whinned, but August held him close. Camo wasn't old enough to get in a fight if the other dog wanted to and he also didn't watn Camo and Arbor tearing this little dog apart. Right now theywere fine with him, but they were really protective of Ccamo.

"This your dog?" he asked Kay when she ran over and the coon dog ran over to her.

"Yeah, she is," Kasie latched onto Coon's blue collar. "Nice dogs by the way," she hadn't meant to sound sarcastic, because she really loved rotties and huskies, but her words seemed to be driping with sarcasm. Coon barked excitedly before letting out a short howl. "Calm down Coon! Coon! Focus," Coon sat back on her haunches, body rigid and alert and her eyes not once straying from Kasie. Kasie ran a hand over the pup's head and let go of her collar. "Sorry for bothering you on your... walk," she began to walk and Coon just stared after her. About halfway towards home, which wasn't the far, she spun around. "Coon. Come!" Within seconds Coon was at her side.

Once they got home Kasie growled inaudibly. "Coon, go to your spot," the german shorthair disappeared into Kasie's room to lay down on her little black bed. "Hey Mom," Kasie greeted with a smile.

"Hey baby! How was your day?!"

"Am I allowed to complain?" Her mom nodded. "Okay it was horrible! There's this one guy t-"

"Ooh a boy! Is my little Kay already going out with somebody?" Kasie glared at her.

"No! It's the exact oppisite! He's so annoying and pigheaded!" She cupped her hands over her face. "Ugh!" Her mom began to laugh and that's when the doorbell rang. "No mom! Don't answer it it could be the devil himself!" Her mom opened the door and there he stood, wearing a bit of sweat with a plate of brownies in his hand. "Mom," Kasie whispered into her mom's ear, "I think they're poisoned."

August stood with his three dogs behind him at her door. When the door opened he heard what she said.

"Mom never poisins her brownies. Their supposdly the best. But I couldn't tell you about this batch, I was banned from tasting them." He replied handing the plate over to the older version of Kay.

"THank you so much. Do you want to come in?" THe lady asked cheerfully.

"No thanks, I'm not sure you daughter wants me too and I just finished a run. I need a shower and to get these guys back home." He smiled. "Thanks for the offer though."

"Nonsense! Bring them on in! We're only just getting everything unpacked. A suddenly not-so-friendly Coon was growling at the bottom stairs. The dogs were on her turf and August was on Kasie's.

"Coon, bed." Kasie grabbed the blue collar and pulled Coon into her room, closing the door behind the dog and jogging back downstairs. August was shifting uncomfortably on the couch while his three dogs sniffed around the house. If those dogs lift a leg I'll grab my paintball gun and shoot a few rounds at 'em. She growled mentally, glaring before taking a seat in the arm chair.

August felt very very uncomfortable. Baby, the pup, ran over and pawed at his leg so he picked her up. THe other two ran over and sat by his feet behaving like he'd trained them too.

"Your dogs are well behaved." Kay's mom said looking pointedly at Kay.

"I've worked hard with them. They're really good guys." he smiled scratching behind both of the bigger ones ears.

Coon was well behaved! Kasie huffed and crossed her arms, glaring at her mom. Okay, so, maybe Coon had eaten through a door, and destroyed plently of shoes... but she wasn't that bad! Kasie tuned out her mom and August as they talked. That's when she heard it. The gnawing and destroying of wood. She gasped and darted upstairs, only to see that Coon had eaten a hole big enough for her to fit her head through. "Coon! Bad dog!" She opened the door and out jet the dog.

August saw the dog run down the stairs again and his three dogs tensed up as it ran over.

"Settle." he commanded. They all relaxed but greeted the dog friendly long as it stayed friendly he'd be fine. But if it didn't he'd be pulling her dog out of the messs cause he kenw he couldn't hold back his dogs.

Kasie swooped Coon up and popped her on the nose, spitting out quiet, angry words. "That was bad Coon! You're a bad puppy! Go hide!" Coon jumped into the leather chair and rested a paw over her muzzle in an attempt to cover her eyes.

"That dog is so stupid and misbehaved Kasie!" Mom raised her voice slightly.

"No she's not... she knows plenty of tricks... just not right from wrong!" Her mother gave her a warning glare and Kasie rolled her eyes. "Whatever, I'm going up to my room and I'll start dinner once the spawn of satan leaves!"

"KASSANDRA ANDEL DAMREL!" At the sound of her full name Kasie jet up the stairs, Coon right behind her.

August laughed a little and stood up. "I'll take that as my que to leave." he smiled.

"I'm so sorry about her behavior." Her mom said.

"I think I deserved it. Welcome to the neighborhood." He started for the door. "Come on boys." The dogs ran to his heels and he slipped out the doors.
