If you mean you want them to develop a thing, PM FinalFreedom. Please, if anyone has any question at all, or even a request to know what's going on in the story, PM me. This is getting cluttered!

Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school.
Everything was happening so fast and he could barely keep up. It was kind of refreshing though when time moved faster than him instead of the other way around.
Still paranoid he checked him watch and smiled at them. They were all frowning at him, Maribelle actually replied for him, "He's afraid of time stopping on him or something."
Some of them didn't understand and Ballow didn't blame them. It was only paranoia with a touch a reality. Well a huge dollop of reality to be precise, it had happened and he was willing enough for it to happen again.
He'd have to be cautious around these people, some of them might be able to read his mind and ask him to use his power. He really didn't want to.
So instead he asked, "So, what are you guys doing here and how did you get here?"
*Summary in the actual story! You can reply with the summary. It'll be easy to understand too.*
"So, what are you guys doing here? And how did you get here?" Ballow asked, standing in an unsure posture. Layne, standing behind the entire group, walked around the rest and put himself directly beside Ballow.
"We're here to save the world," he said in an exaggerated tone. "None of us can be effected by the shadows; and neither can you, obviously. And also, I don't know if you happened to notice six people randomly falling from the sky and this huge wall suddenly popping up out of nowhere. If you did, then there's the answer to your question. If you didn't, that's still the answer to your question."
Ballow gave Layne a quizzical gaze. Layne shook his head, switching his gaze from Ballow to Gary, who stood glaring at Layne. Who would have known that saying hello to a beautiful lady would cause one to gain an enemy?
"It's all well and good that we're going to rise up against the shadows," Layne said, turning to the rest of the group. "But all of us have our own powers, an obvious fact. Powers do not come without consequence. Spencer here can most obviously control the earth, but if one of you could control water then using your powers at the same time as his will cause a massive explosion of power, and the death of both of you."
"What are you saying?" Spencer asked, intrigued.
"That we need to know what each of us can do before we go trying to save the world," Layne crouched down, grabbing some sticks and placing them in a small pile. "We can't go around saving the world without knowing if even the smallest of spells is going to destroy our teammate."
Layne placed his hand above the small pile of twigs and leaves he had made and closed his eyes. Summoning the heat from the air around him, Layne created a small fire then stood up. Everyone around him stared in awe, but jumped back when he swung is arms and turned the tiny blaze into a seven foot tall version of himself.
"What is that?" Raven demanded, jumping back. Felicie stared at the being in awe, a smile touching her lips.
"My power. I can control and manipulate fire and heat, and I also have the ability to read the shadows for what they really are. So what abilities do you all have?"
--
PLEASE everyone reply to this post with your powers, it is important that everyone(in character form) knows, or else there WILL be casualties.
Anti-Peta.
"In Vabbi , I was ambushed by six of them! They wielded blunt wooden sticks and were hissing at me about overdue fines... Bandits? Oh, no. These were library envoys."
Alrighty. Here is the "low-down" on Spencer and Cadence's powers! - - -
"My power. I can control and manipulate fire and heat, and I also have the ability to read the shadows for what they really are. So what abilities do you all have?"
Cadence stepped in first. She concentrated her mind, as hard as she could. She imagined the window frame from a building that stood in front of her being torn out. She took a deep breath and with a squeal and a twist, the window frame was torn out of the building, still intact. The glass swelled and popped with the pressure, the peices shattering on the ground before the ground of teens. "So, you're obviously telekinetic," Layne said, his tone had a sort of sarcastic hint to it. "Yeah, and I can manipulate the earth," Cadence added. "i'm surprised you didn't know. All those puns you made about me..." Her voice trailed off. She was not going to embarass herself in front of all these people.
Spencer gave her a huge smile. His teeth glowed ultr-white, his cheeks dimpled. (<-- is that right? XD) It had been so long since Cadence had seen him smile that way. It made her heart soar with happiness when she saw it. He looked so much like a child again. Not like the nevous, fearful, and shy teen she'd seen so often.
Spencer closed his eyes and balled his fist. The side of a building nearby crumbled down. "Earth manipulation," he said. As he opened his eyes, noticing all the eyes staring at him, his cheeks flushed red. "And," Cadence added, nudging his shoulder and pointing to a small black cat that scurried by.
Spencer nodded his head and smiled gratefully at Cadence. He beckoned the creature over, stroked its neck and down its back. Finally, his body shook. His eyes were still closed, and teh cat dropped to the ground, limp. Spencer's body diminished into a spirit, transparent and glowing. Then he stepped into the cat.
The cat awoke again, but Spencer's body-- in return-- was limp on the ground. "He can take control of animals for about half an hour or so. But Spencer was thinking about how tired he would be tonight. He hoped Raven might at least offer them all a place to say.
"So," Layne said, "who's next?"

I hope I got Layne's personality correct.
LaReina!
"Man is least himself when he talks in his own person.
I came into this world wrinkled and ugly. And no matter how much I accumulate here, it's a short journey. I will go out of this world wrinkled and ugly. So I enjoy life.
*ahem* actually, they CAN be affected by shadows. The shadows affected them, but didn't take them completely, giving them powers. The shadows can still affect them. That's what I think anyways. So let’s continue!

"So," Layne said, "who's next?"
I sighed, knowing that interacting was inevitable. I might as well get it over with, I thought. Looking around, I saw a few landscaping service flyers. Those would do nicely, for one demonstration at least.
“I’ll show you mine,” I mumbled loud enough for the others to hear. I raised my hands to the two flyers and they came lightning fast to my hands, where they suddenly stopped. I flicked an index finger, and the two tore themselves into perfect squares. I jerked my hands a little, and the two made creases in themselves. Everyone watched me as I did more and more seemingly pointless hand movements. The papers folded themselves, creased themselves, and cut themselves. After about thirty seconds of the movements, a paper origami crane was flapping its wings and flying in circles, and on the ground, a paper frog jumped around. I got a small applause, from who I don’t know, for my creations. One more flick and they flew and jumped into the huge fire Layne had created, burning to ashes.
“I have telekinesis, so I can move things very precisely with my mind,” I explained. “I also have telepathy, so I can talk to you with my mind… though I’m not sure that one works. And--”
“And?!” said Layne, his arms folded and looking at me questioningly.
“Yes and, dumbo. Not everything can be explained with one name. AND I can sense when shadows, or the people taken by one, are near. That’s it.”
“Okay,” said Layne. “Next!”

Nooo! Ugh, I'm pretty sure all the guys are taken...how perfect! So no guy would like to fall for Maribelle? We could have love triangles, that might make it more interesting.
Maribelle
I listened closely to everyone as they announced their powers and how they used them. Many of their thoughts were jumbled and at a lost, all their emotions came crashing into my skull. I sucked in a breath trying to keep my power under control but, it didn't work.
I lost my balance and fell down, I laughed at myself while everyone had a weird look on their face.
"Oh jeez, I am such a klutz!" I giggled, I was a little too happy and it was irritating me. Ballow looked at me and let out a laugh already used to my behavior and personality obviously.
"She's been like this for a while..." He said to everyone.
What an interesting girl... I heard from someone's head not quite figuring out which one.
I got back on my feet with a smile and looked around at all the staring people.
Ugh, weird vibes yet again! I thought as I took a few steps away from the group. I was used to people thinking i was abnormal but, this felt a little too awkward.
