Emily

She had been standing in the background for some time now. She stepped forward. "This is my power."

She shifted into a older woman in about her forties with blond hair, and rather tan, crinkled skin. "I can shapeshift." She morphed into a lion, and she roared. Everybody around her took a step back. Then, she shifted into an exact copy of Ballow, just for fun. Everybody cracked up, including Ballow. His eyes were bright and Emily stopped in midshift, filled with strange emotions that she had never felt before, around anybody. She shook it off and transformed back into her normal self, except this time, she changed the pink highlights in her black hair to blue, just for change.
I came into this world wrinkled and ugly. And no matter how much I accumulate here, it's a short journey. I will go out of this world wrinkled and ugly. So I enjoy life.

*Love triangles are quite cliched... How about a love square. Those are more interesting.*

Felicie~

"I can control your life through your thoughts and mind." I whispered. That got a number of stares.

"What do you mean? Show me." Someone asked cautiously.

I stared at him. He nearly recoiled but kept the gaze. A few seconds later he screamed in agony. I had found his worst fear and was showing it to him. To him it seemed real. It was a realistic mental illusion. His eyes, widened with terror, calmed down as I relaxed him through his mind.

He was probably mentally scarred for life. Although that's what he got for asking to be a test subject.

Oh you are quite right love squares it is then? I need to have a love for Maribelle xD

Maribelle

"I can read and change anybody's emotion, while doing that I can also see what they are thinking." I said, changing everyone's mood to sad. After that they all looked at me curiously, I had to let out a giggle.

Ballow's paranoia had hit me hard and I tumbled down for the second time in the hour.

"Ugh, Ballow that one was you!" I smirked looking for some help up.

Maribelle can control the emotions that hit her but, not from those who she is friends with. If it is enemies she is firm and solid. But, yeah just thought i should explain that. ha-ha

*You can have Felix. I suppose he's back in play because we need more people to be even.*

Felix~

I watched them all from the back. I felt jealous of them all. I muttered to myself in German.

A girl noticed me and approached. "What can you do?" She asked.

"You honestly don't want to know. I don't belong here." I said. "It's probably too dangerous for me to be with everyone."

"Just tell us." She said. I knew she was trying her calming powers on me, but they weren't working.

The girl called over to Felicie. She managed to calm me down. This was going to be annoying.

All eyes were on us now though. It would be so easy to kill them all and be done with all this unnecessary pain and suffering. Life is all a matter of endurance. I reminded myself.

"I can raise the dead, and control your worst nightmares." I declared. They were more worried than when they heard Felicie's gift. Nobody asked me to demonstrate. It was just as well.

They didn't ignore me though. They tried to include me. But I was locked up too tight. I had vowed never to trust and love ever again.

Ooh yay aahahah thank you!

Maribelle

I looked at the guy that had just spoken his power, he seemed so stiff. My powers were not working on him, it made me frustrated. I smiled at him trying to make him less uptight, he just looked away.

"My name is Maribelle." I whispered, as he kept his eyes turned toward the group. His fists clenched and unclenched as he tried to keep his self under control. I took a step away trying to make him more comfortable.

"I'm sorry, I know i can be intruding." I whispered again, his pulse coming to a slower pace. I rocked on my heels as i waited for his answer feeling wary that I should be careful.

"Name's Felix." He said bluntly. I smiled a little happy i got his name at the least.

"Nice to meet you Felix." I said kindly.

I looked the girl over. She seemed nice enough. Though you can never tell by first impressions. They always lie. I would like the power of mind reading. That would be helpful in situations like these. The atmosphere was very awkward. I was glad she gave me breathing room. My temper was quite short and to lash out at anyone would be terrible.

But I guess I liked her. It was something about her that set her aside from all the rest. Some of that I probably owe to her gift.

I decided, what could I loose. I've already lost so much...

I scooted closer to her. She turned her face towards mine. Her eyes were captivating...

I immediately looked away. How could I let myself do this? This would be betraying my own personal code of living.

And then I remembered Genevieve. I remembered how she told me she loved me and then tried to kill me. I loved her though, and I still do. She's dead now. I made sure she was miserable in death. But was that what I really wanted? Revenge could be sweet, but it had a bitter aftertaste.

I knew she was curious about me. I was fighting myself for control of my emotions.

"So," I started. I was hopeless, but I would try at least. "What's it like knowing what people are thinking?" I asked her.

"Hmm. Quite interesting, really. Not like you'd expect anything else though. How's it like having control over the dead?" She answered, playing along.

"Eventful. Very. But not fun." I said. Thinking about how much power I could release on the earth nauseated me. "Not fun at all. My gift is my curse." I continued, wistfully.

Maribelle

I knew Felix must have been hurt bad to be so bottled up like this, I had a guess that it was another girl. I decided to let him choose if he wanted me or not, I'm sure this would be a long term decision.

I laughed not really happily, "oh well, I'm sure it must be...I'm sorry. Knowing people's thoughts can be a burden...especially when they are emotional. I get the wind knocked out of me when people change emotions too quickly." I caught a glance of his icy blue eyes.

His eyes, Oh gosh his eyes! They're so amazing. I couldn't help but smile at the thought. I took a deep breath trying to calm myself, feeling an emotion I'd never felt before in my life.

"Your eyes are quite nice." I murmured feeling embarrassed. Then i stopped, I knew i was going too fast. I sighed and looked back at him, waiting for a reply.

Cadence noted the "happenings" between Felix and Maribelle. They were shyly staring into one another's eyes. She remember doing that same thing when she had her first crush. He broke her heart. She rolled her eyes, mostly at herself. She hated feeling so weak when she was in love. It was one person that broke down all your defenses, and when you were off-guard, they broke your heart.

Spencer, however, had never fallen in love. Not once. She wasn't sure if she should acuse him gay, because he'd never really showed intrest in other women. But she shrugged off the topic. Spencer wasn't gay. She just knew it. A twin instinct, so to speak.

"Your powers are pretty cool," Cadence said graciously. She gave a warm smile to everyone. "I just want to give you an advance warning, before we go see Aunt Ivy. I wanna get there was quickly as possible."

"Don't scare them, Cad," Spencer warned. "I won't," she mumbled to him. She plastered the smile on her face.

"Aunt Ivy is... how do you say it--"

"Eccentric? Filled with pride? Independent? Odd?" Spencer barged in. Sh noticed him risk a glance at Raven, who was staring mostly at Cadence, waiting for her answer as were nost the others. "Well, Aunt Ivy has high expectations."

Cadence winked at Spencer. "Yes. 'High Expectations.'"

"Anything else?" Raven asked, a bored edge to her voice.

"Well... she does so a few seances now and then..." Cadence waved her hand through the air. Her careless voice seemed to fool everyone else. no one really noted what she had just said about the seances. As long as they weren't scared, they'd train harder. Right? Cadence thought to herself. She sure hoped so.

I didn't really know how to build off the other posts. I think everyone showed their powers, right? If I'm missing anyone, please, just barge in!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I can sense shadows." I said quietly.
Everyone turned towards me, realizing now that I was here.
"Is it scary?" asked a girl with big blue eyes.
"Yeah...I mean knowing at every moment when they are here. It's...I don't know how to describe it...but it's just like knowing when you're going to die." I said trying hard to explain.
"Wow." said a guy.
I smiled, "Well, unleast I know when to run away. But, it's not like I know they are here. I just sense them. And the things coming from them." I said shuddering at the thought.
"It scary. Really scary. But I try to live with it." I said.

*you can have Gary if you want he is 19 though, and he is lonely*
GARY

"exentric huh, well she seems like my kind of person" Gary said he was the only one standing, they others all seemed slow to move. "come on now, you said it your self you want to get there fast and so do i, she might have some good food." But when no one moved Gary just collapsed onto the ground then an idea struck him. Without a second thought he tried his hardest and began to move the earth under the group and they shot forward at a fast pace.

I looked at the girl who had just spoken. She doesn't know what it's like knowing when someone's going to die. She doesn't know anything about death. How it's always so predictable. They say it's not predictable, but it is. There's something in all of us that tells us when someone's to die. It's a feeling. I wouldn't go as far as a sixth sense.

I've seen all of the Mediator books, and the medium stories. They're always the same; girl/boy can see ghosts. Boy/girl talks to ghosts and is happy. Aformentioned person helps ghost. Happily ever after.

Where's the "Going crazy part?" My life is not a fairytale. My life is the most hard-core reality you could ever imagine.

Wake up call to all of you.

"Your eyes are nice!" Maribelle told me.

Was I dreaming I heard that? Nobody had paid me anything close to a compliment since... never.

"Er, thanks?" I answered. This was getting very awkward. I never much cared about my appearance. I probably should though...

I never really noticed anyone else's appearance either.

I looked Maribelle over. Smooth brown hair, brown eyes, not a bad figure. Someone that at first glance people would deem plain.

Not that I had any experience though. I should lay back and allow the experts. Suddenly I felt like a livestock judge. Haha.

She was different. I could sense it. Her aura somehow was more... penetrating than most.

"She does do a few seances..." Someone was saying. I love seances. They're so fake. And predictable. Like death.
