Apparently, we’re going with the drop out of the sky thing, blotageman. I just went against it because it didn’t really make sense to me, but it’s forming in my mind. I’ll go from LaReinas post.

Raven

---

"You okay?" he chuckled wryly, hoping that some of the others would be able to cling on too.

Raven placed hands and feet on the wall, and slowly slid down. Her head started throbbing, letting her mind help to pull her body up. She came across Gary, his legs flailing. He was holding on desperately onto Emilys waist, Emily holding onto Felices ankle, and so on. Raven continued to tekinetically pull herself up. At the top, Cadence was holding on desperately, all the others holding on to her. She seemed to be dying of exhaustion, and, not thinking, Raven took a hold of Spencers hand with one hand, and the top of the wall with the other.

“AGUH!! Ohmigosh…” she said once the full weight was on her. “Spencer, how do you suppose we’re going to get down?!”

“Like this,” he said as calmly as possible for someone holding onto four hundred pounds. With his free hand he put his palm on the wall. The ground rumbled, and they started to move down. Soon Gary had his feet off the ground. He got down on his hands and knees and kissed the ground, saying,
“We’re alive!! We’re alive!!”

Once all the others were on the ground, Raven glared and said
“Nice move, Spence’. You have any idea what it’s like holding onto an anvil?”

“I’m sure Cadence does,” replied Spencer, his mischievous grin halfway returning. “Lighten up Raven. We need to find a better way of transportation and a destination.”

As the Fabulous Five debated this, a girl came running around from the other side of the wall.

“What was that? Who’re are you? And how could you do that?!”

Raven groaned as Gary explained, correcting him whenever he said ‘boggidies’.

*okay then*

Gary and the others were still stuck. Their plan had not worked and they were still in the house the shadow clawing at them. "so, we need to get out before the boggidies get to us, but how" gary said half waiting to be corrected half waiting for an answer."okay then i guess its up to me to save the day". Gary began to put on a thinking face and after a minute the face let off an expression that looked like he had an idea. "come on lets go" He said and then suddenly he made a ramp at the door that lead to a large wide and high up path that lead out past the shadows. He ran foward and when he did not hear others follow he turned back "come on slowpokeshurry up" And then he turned back to the path.

-I think, and this is how it got stuck in my head and not necessarily right.

Everyone was in Ravens House.

Emily turned into a giant eagle and everyone hopped onto her back. Cadence didn’t at first, but that doesn’t really matter for this post. They all flew out of the house. After a while, oh I dunno, I sounded like about 50, 100 yards, Emily started to lose altitude. Flying had taken all the energy out of her.

As they fell, Emily turned back into a human. Spencer balled his fists and made an earthen wall, I thought 20-40 feet high and 5 feet thick. And ten feet long. Cadence held onto the edge of the wall, Spencer held onto her ankle, and so on and so forth.

I think that’s how it happened. Did this help at all?-

Cadence gasped, grasping onto her lknees. She was fighting for air right now. Her back seemed deathly out of place. She'd need a chiropractor soon. Spencer had a slight grin on his face. Despite what the others said he was clearly please by the fact that he'd save them all.

Spencer patted Cadence's back. She sucked in a breath and squinted her eyes shut. "That hurts?" Spencer guessed. Cadence nodded her head down once. Gary was animatedly explaining the whole story to a new girl, who had just run around the corner. She had brown hair and brown eyes to match. Behind her a man was tagging along. Her was staring at a watch on his wrist his red hair falling into his eyes.

All around her, Cadence noticed, a few people shuffled (I think?) They were barely engulfed by the shadow, but they seemed so surpised by these teens who were yet untouched. Cadence itched underneath her eye.

"Spence, can I talk to you?" Cadence mumbled, yanking Spencer away from the group. Cluelessly Spencer followed along, his feet tripping and catching on his shoelaces and the cement. "What?" he demanded when Cadence pulled him into a shaded alley. "Did you get hurt?"

Cadence hesitated. "I am a bit sore, yes," she enunciated the words with as little venom as she could get. She was feeling a bit mad-- but grateful-- at Spencer right now. His brow was furrowed and his eyes were dim. She was worrying him too much. "Before we go back to the group, we have to get something straight."

"What?" Spencer asked.

"Mum and Dad... we don't know where they are, right?"

Spencer nodded his head down. "Yeah, so?"

"Well, before they were turned, they said they were thinking about moving, and leaving us with Aunt Ivy until they found a good place that we could stay in."

"Yes...?" Spencer looked at Cadence suspiciously. Did he think she was crazy? Cadence itched her head nervously. "Look. I just think that we should go find mum and dad soon. That's all."

"Are you crazy?" So he did think she was crazy. "We can't do that! What if we get taken by the shadow?"

"Fine! I'll go alone." Cadence yelled. She heard the aimless chatter outside stop abruptly. Obviously they'd heard. She sure hoped no one would come to find out what was going on.... Spencer took a deep and calming breath. "You're very determined, and I envy you for that," Spencer began, "but you cannot go. I won't allow that."

"You've never held me back from doing something before," Cadence hissed before stomping out of the alley, her arms crossed tight over her chest. Things had been a mess since the shadow had come along, and sometimes she felt like she didn't even know her other half anymore.

Cadence settled herself on an old fruit crate and buried her head in her hands. Her temples were pounding. She really needed to get some sleep. And she needed a chiropractor. But she was really hoping that Spencer would agree, and they would go find her parents.

Spencer, however, pondered the thought, but headed back over to the group. Though Cadence was still in plain sight, he knew she wanted to be alone.

so, I figured that this conversation with Spencer and Cadence could help with a plot build-up. You can probably clearly guess what Cadence is thinking about doing...

I'm surprised Spencer didn't pick up! Yeah, I can guess what she’s thinking. Anyways, nice job on finding a plot!

Raven
---

We had all been silenced, previously eavesdropping on the twins conversation. Spencer came out of the alley, slowly and staring at the group.

“You all heard,” he said. By the way he said it, we all knew that our friendship was on the line. “What do you think?”

There was a long pause. I could hear the breathing of the others around me. I tried to escape to the edge of the group, my own breath being stopped because of the crowdedness. I looked down the alley at Cadence, exhausted, determined, and probably still terrified from the flight. I had never felt this way, but I found myself feeling sorry for her. I at least knew where my parents, crazy though they may be from the shadow, were. They didn’t.

To break the silence, I went over to Spencer and whispered in his ear

“Go alone, you’ll be eaten alive by the shadows. Go with a friend, you’ll die with your boots on. There are five of us, Spence’! Together, we can take any challenge that comes our way. Together we stand. And divided we will surely fall.”

I stood back from his ear and searched his face for his answer. He let out a deep sigh, long and sad. Turning to the group, as confidant as a commander, he said,

“Anyone want to come along?”

Everyone nodded and mumbled a ‘yes’. Gary raised his had as high as possible while jumping a little. Spencer grinned and happily told Cadence

“We’re coming, Cadence. I’m still not letting you go alone.”

A shriek of happiness quickly came closer to me. I jumped out of the way to avoid a bear hug from Cadence that made Spencers face turn purple.

We’re going somewhere, that’s good,[.i]” I thought to myself. “[i]But I still want to know why four people showed up in my house all of a sudden! Maybe I should start believing in fate… or circumstances…

“Hey!” the girl from behind the earthen block spoke up again. “You’ve told us who you all are, now it’s our turn. I’m Maribelle, and this is Ballow. We’re like you, in a way… and Gary said you were trying to stop the shadows?”

“Yeah,” I spoke up, turning a few heads. “We have reasons to fight the shadows, but yeah, we’re fighting them.”

“Cool,” Ballow spoke up. “Can I fight?” Maribelle asked the same question.

“Sure,” I said. Now there were seven of us. No strength in numbers, but in hearts and minds. This may get somewhere.

Once Spencer had his face back he specified where we were going.

“Our Aunt Ivy lives in Connecticut. I’m sure she can help us… that is, if she hasn’t been taken by the shadows.”

---

Okay, hope I got the personalities right! I always worry about that. And I thought I might specify what I thought the shadows were like.
If you’ve seen the anime Howl’s Moving Castle, then just picture the shadows as ‘spirits of darkness’. If you haven’t, then picture them as plain old shadows, like the kind the lamp is making with my computer screen, only with a little more… material, I guess. Black ghosts, Harry Potter style. But they can’t travel through stuff. That’s what I picture them as, personally.

*whistles* a summery? Okay, I'll work on that. If you read it all you'll get personality details, but I'll work on the summery still.
