Vincent stood up, as did Lucinda. He instinctively put his hand on his sword, but withdrew it, confident in his diplomacy skills.

"Enemy? Hah, well, if that's what you want to call her..."

"She's an Unforgiven," Katie snarled, "in fact, no, she is the Unforgiven!"

Vincent bit his lip. Somehow, his fangs didn't draw any blood.

"Yes...unforgiven...does anyone actually know why we call them the Unforgiven?"

"Because they are unforgivable." Zire answered.

Vincent laughed demoniacally, a terrible sound with much power yet little in the way of soul, or even joy.

"Just because something isn't something," Vincent said, "doesn't mean it can't be something. And I for one am sick of fighting those fools."

He turned to Lucinda, an insane gleam in his eye.

"Would it not be best for Vampirekind if your clan surrendered to ours? Together, we would be invincible. We could rule the world. You and I. And the foo...the Humans wouldn't be able to do anything to stop us. We could rule the world! What do you say?"

Lucinda couldn't say anything, she was too afaid to. She knew she'd say yes and bow down to him.

"Erm.." Lucinda said but intrerupted by the too vampires bursting though the door.

"Lucinda dont!" Helene shouted.

Lucinda at Vincent and back at helene and leo.

"I... ermm.." Lucinda stuttered out. " I will give you the rest of the night to prove yourself and that you do mean good will to me. Also you will not hurt my human, right?"

"Agreed" He replied now smiling, "Show Leon and Helene to there rooms for the night and leave us to relax"

Katie grimaced. "You want us to show these unworthy lame-excuse-for-vampires to rooms so they can stay here?"

Vincent turned to her and his eyes flashed angrily. "Is there a problem with that?" he growled through gritted teeth, pulling up his top lip so his long fangs gleamed dangerously in the light. Vincent put his hand on the hilt of his sword, and Zire started towards Katie protectively. He stopped, knowing full well what Vincent would do if he interfered with him and Katie.

Katie bowed quickly, biting her tongue. "No, My Lord. No problem at all."

Vincent took his hand from his hilt. "Good. You have been very loyal to me, Kathleen. It would be a shame to kill you because of misunderstood orders. Now leave, and show our guests to their rooms."

Zire bowed along with Katie and they stood in unison, ushering their guests out the door.

"Follow me," Katie hissed, walking down the hall. "You're staying the night, whether you like it or not. My Lords orders." Anger flashed in her eyes, and she clenched her fists until her palms bled from her fingernails biting into them.

"You see, Lucinda?" Vincent said when Kathleen and Zire left the room, "I have one hundred percent control over everyone in my clan. They wouldn't dare to defy my will. But what about the Unforgiven? Are they loyal to you?"

Lucinda frowned.

"Well...yes. Yes, of course they are."

Vincent's lip curled, displaying his arrogance. He moved his head towards Lucinda, as if to kiss her then, when he had the "sense" that she was going to accept the kiss, he turned his head away. He chucked his head back and laughed menacingly.

"But where do your loyalties lie?" he asked, placing a finger on Lucinda's lips before she could reply, "let's not be hasty. We have the entire night to talk. But I find tongues become looser with the company of wine. My stock mainly consists of an unconventional variety of red wine, if you take my meaning, but the vegetarian option is still there if you want it. I might try some myself, in fact."

Lucinda was going to leave her clan to join his. She knew she would. Even if her clan didn't follow. Helene would be the leader if lucinda left.

"why dont we stick with the none vegetarian version" lucinda grinned.

"really Lucinda, the none Vegetarian version. Different for you isn't it" Vincent smiled,

"Not really, I keep my own" Lucinda replied,

"Really?" He asked.

Although he did not show it, Vincent was genuinely surprised. He was not surprised at Lucinda's suggestion, or her claim of keeping a stock of human blood to drink, rather he was surprised by the disappointment he felt. He was certain that he would have Lucinda crossing the line by dawn, but he couldn't help feeling like it was too easy - he was expecting a challenge.

Or that was his interpretation of the unfamiliar feeling in his stomach. He wished not to dwell on it, but found himself incapable of doing so.

"It's been a while since someone caught me off guard," he said as he led Lucinda to the wine cellar, "I have to say, I missed being surprised. Life is so much more exciting when you don't know what's round the corner."

Lucinda murmured her agreement, and they entered the cellar.

He surveyed the countless wine racks, holding several hundred bottles, most of which contained a mixture of human-brewed wine and human blood. A few were pure wine. He twirled around, his arms in the air.

"My entire collection is at your disposal. Oh, and..."

He went to the opposite side of the room, where, from behind a door, groans of despair could be heard.

"Behind this door is my freshest supply. We let you brew your own drink on the premises, so to speak. It's grisly business to the inexperienced, and takes longer to prepare. But it's much more satisfying, the taste of blood is best when it is fresh. And all novices have to start somewhere. But I will let you decide how far you are willing to go."

*how did you know Lucinda wouldn't fall that easily XD*

Lucinda was shoked that they was excially keeping humans to drain there blood.

"Thats digusting" She said, "How can you do that"

"Easily" he smiled.

Lucinda went to walk back up to the main room but Vincent grabbed her arm.

"We wouldn't wan your little human friend to be in there do we?" He laughed and Lucinda backed up near him again.

"dont make me go in there" She said. She was so hungry the amount of blood was taunting her.

*'twas but a lucky guess*

Vincent continued to drag Lucinda towards the back room, but let go when she struggled.

"Fine, fine," he said, giggling, "I won't make you go in there. But I know that you want to. It's probably just the nerves. Or your conscience. Maybe if we start with something light, that will loosen you up a bit. Believe me when I say this, there's nothing like a pint or two of fresh human blood during the night. Excuse me one moment."

Vincent disappeared behind the door, and emerged a few minutes later carrying a large bucket of blood.

"I find the wood of the bucket gives it an interesting flavour," he said in response to Lucinda's horrified stare, "not necessarily a better one, but you know what they say. A change is as good as a rest. That reminds me, I was thinking...how much do your sort drink? Blood, I mean. I can't go a day without drinking, ooh, I don't know, probably at least half an individual human's blood supply, but that's enough to kill them so I just drain them. But you don't even kill them, so do you drink from several individuals to drink about as much as I do, or have you just grown used to barely drinking at all?"

As he talked, Vincent failed to notice the slightly green tinge on Lucinda's face. When he finally paid attention to her expression, he realised that she wasn't just a bit uncomfortable.

"Lucinda? Is something wrong? Is the blood making you feel queasy? Or..."

Vincent grinned.

"Or are you feeling the thirst?"

*((grins))*

"Shut up Vincent" she shouted and held her hand other her nose. She bared her fangs that she usually did when blood was put near her. Vincent grinned at her.

"Dont you like the smell" He asked,

"You know i do" she said her fangs now biting into her lip, blood pouring down her white flawless face.

"You look alot prettier when your angry" Vincent laughed. as he held the bucket under her nose.

She growled at him but he didn't back away.

"Come on Lucinda you no you want to" He smiled as he watched her eyes turn deep brown nearly black.

She knocked the bucket out of his hand.

As we walked down the stone hallways I heard groans of despair from the cages beside us, stocked with humans.
Kathleen, or so I heard her name was, holding both of our arms and walking us to our "room". As we approached the cage, My eyes were blood red. I couldn't take it. It wasn't going to end like this. With all my might I jerked my arm, freeing it and slapping kathleen hard enough to make her scream and fall on the ground screeching with pain. The prisoners began an uproar. Cheering and whistling with whatever breath they had left. I grabbed Helene's arm and began running back to the room Vincent and Lucinda were in. I did not want to see this part of me, but sadly, she did. I spotted Vicnent and Lucinda. Quickly I tackled Vincent screaming as loud as my lungs would allow.
"YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" I yelled as loud as a could, spit flying out of my mouth.
My mouth was so wide my fangs were obvious to the naked eye.
I could tell the anger rising in Vincent, and the fear rising in Helene. She is about to see what I really am...

"Leon you dont want to do that" Lucinda said her eyes now turning black.

"Lucinda?" Helene asked Her as she saw the human blood sprayed across her face.

"Calm down Lucinda" Vincent smirked, " Whats wrong with you Leon?"

"I didn't like the look of our room" He said,

"What do you mean you dont like the look of your room" Vincent said now angry that he had disrupted Lucinda and His peace.

"well I wouldn't say a cage is very comftable" Leon replied his eyes turning black too.

"Kathleen!" Vincent shouted as she entered the room," lead these guys to a room, not a cage. Make peace with them"

Vincent grinned, "now leave me and Lucinda in peace" and he looked down at the blood sprayed across the floor.

Kathleen ran and grabbed my arms, trying to force me back.
I was struggling and screaming. Make peace.. Pft. Yeah, right.
Once again I broke free. I began running after Lucinda.
Helene screamed, tears in her eyes "Don't!" she screamed, her voice full of sadness.
I turned to look at Helene, a single running down her cheek. What had I just done?
I was so angry, I felt like I was drugged. Like Everything I did went in my brain, and automatically erased. All I knew was I made her cry.
"Helene..." I said calming down.

"Kathleen, show them to a REAL room, we want peace, not war" Vincent stated.

"No!" I yelled. I directed my attention to Lucinda.
"If you want to join this worthless excuse of a clan, be my guest." I said.
I looked at Helene, confirming there was nothing we could do.
"Let's go home." I told her.

Zire gripped Kathleen's arm and dragged her out of Vincent's bedroom, leading her down the hallway. "What the hell was that?" he asked calmly once they were in front of her bedroom. "You led them to a cage?"

Katie held her head high and tried to yank her arm out of Zire's hand with no prevail. "They don't deserve to be here, Zire. They're traitors." she hissed.

Zire looked her in the eyes. "It doesn't matter. Do you want to get yourself killed? I truly don't think you fully understand what Vincent can do when you make him angry. Did you not see what he did to that newborn earlier?"

Katie stared him in the eyes, her upper lip lifting in a menacing scowl. "I get it, Zire. Now let go, or--"

"Or what? You're going to have to hurt me? Is that what you were going to say?" he smiled. "Because I don't think you have the heart to do it."

Katie reluctantly smiled and looked down. "You're right; I don't have the heart to hurt you. I...I care about you too much."
