Adeline~

I walked back to the Unforgiven clan, toying with the necklace that Lucinda had given me. I smiled and ran quickly back to the castle before Jared or Father could get the chance to come.
I heard rustling of leaves up ahead and then Father came into view. I quickly moved to stand in his path and hold him back.
"No!" I screeched as He tried to push back.

"Adeline move." His deep voice bellowed.

"No Father. You can't go the the Apocalyptica clan. We're at peace with them." I crossed my arms over my chest and glared at him.

"You can not decide that on your own Adeline." He said in a cold voice. "Jared is also a leader of our clan."

I smirked. "Nope. Just me. Jared doesn't want it." I stared at my father for a long time, waiting for him to say something.

Vincent wasn't sure how to respond - he had become too used to being a heartless leader to express himself. But he knew he was about to do something. He never found out what he was about to do.

"That odour on your clothes," he said, "it's getting stronger."

They both knew it could mean only one thing - Jared was approaching. And it was likely Armand would be with him.

"Take this key," Vincent gave Lucinda a golden key, "and lock yourself in the master bedroom. It's on the top floor, shouldn't be too hard to find."

Vincent stood by the stairs as Lucinda sought refuge. He heard the front gate of the castle slam open, followed by a booming voice.

"Lucinda!"

Armand stomped through the castle halls, crushing the skull of an idle vampire on his way.

"Lucinda!"

"She's not here," Vincent said, hiding behind a corner.

"What? Who said that?" Armand growled, "Show yourself!"

Vincent stepped out from the corner, holding his sword limply. He saw the young Jared at Armand's shoulder, and winked.

"Vincent..." Armand spat.

"Armand, I presume? I suggest you leave."

"HAH!" Armand threw his head back as he laughed, "Not until I see my daughter, villain!"

"You'll have to kill me first," Vincent said, getting into a combat stance, "En Garde!"

Adeline~

I ran in behind Father and Jared. In time to see Vincent standing in a fighting stance and my eyes widened. I could see why Lucinda liked him. He was dark and gorgeous. I shook those thoughts out of my head at once when my father's hand reached for his sword.

"No, Father stop this. You aren't going to fight him. Lucinda made her choice." I said, pulling his arm back. He lashed out at me for the second time this night and this time Jared didn't help me. I flew back against the wall. My head cracked against the stone and it hurt but not as bad if I would've been completely human.
I glared at my father.

"You and Lucinda both gave me this clan and I decide who we fight with." My voice became icy. "You listen to my command now Armand." I didn't see him as my father anymore now that he wanted to kill Lucinda.

"Armand, stop this right now." Katie and Zire stepped inbetween him and Zire, intent to protecting their leader, even though they knew he could take the hunter with one hand.

"We'd prefer not to kill you, but we will if we must." Zire's eyes glittered dangerously, even though his stance was calm.

**Umm, yeah i do, I was kinda admitted into a hospital for an illness i accidentally caught at school. But I'm back now so.. could someone kindly tel me whats been going on while i was away??**

I examined my surroundings checking for a trap, just in case.

I looked back, at our leader, he stood still and i could see that he was thinking. Attacking the hunter would most likely cause a war to break out. I smiled, he was not afraid, which meant that we were in no harm... yet.

"Stand aside" Vincent commanded, making both me and Katie freeze in surprise.

"But..." Katie objected but Vincent just glared at us.

"As you wish" I said and walked aside pulling the reluctant Katie with me.

**Sorry, but that's all i've got for now**

Lucinda

Lucinda trembled as she heard them standing on the other side of her door. She cried a few tries but was afraid that they would hear her. She stood up and walked out the door to join the battle.

"What do you want" Lucinda asked her father,

"I should be asking you the same question" Armand replied,

"Well I want you too leave me and the Apocalyptice clan alone, and treat me like a daughter." She replied, "Thats what I want"

Vincent continued to hold his combat stance, the tip of his sword aimed at Armand's chest. He looked into Armand's eyes, detecting what he perceived to be regret, perhaps even fear. He took a glance at Jared. He was definitely scared.

"Armand, you are outnumbered," Vincent reasoned, "even if you and Jared are strong enough to defeat Zire, Katie, Lucinda and I, you will then have to face the whole of the Apocalyptica."

"W will be gone before any of your clan members can catch me," Armand growled, "but I will leave without causing any bloodshed, on one condition."

"Which is?"

"Lucinda comes with me."

Vincent laughed, leaning forward so that his sword was pressing on Armand's neck, drawing a thin sliver of blood.

"I don't accept your terms, fiend," Vincent said, "now begone, or else I will have no choice but to smite you."

**Hey guys, when is this anyway in the past? 18 or 17 or when?**

"It is you who is the fiend" snapped Armand as the wound on his neck healed.

Half of the whole clan was gathering near the castle now, they were all angry, not afraid but angry and wanted revenge for this... breach of terms.

We were all ready to strike at the smallest attack, although none of us dared to attack first in case we angered our leader and breached the treaty.

"I will repeat this peacefully once again" replied Vincent unmoved "begone!"

His voice had a power among us, we tensed at his command, readily awaiting whatever would happen next.

*Its not in the past, its in the present day. I know it doesn't really seem like it, but it is, and yes it is hard to keep posting in this one scene*

Armand pushed the sword away from his neck and walked towards the door, Jared following close behind.

"Lucinda you will not be welcome in my family" Armand growled, "You have made your decision and you are now our enermy"

Lucinda stared as her family walked out the door, leaving her in peace for the last time. A single tear rolled dowm her face.

Vincent watched as Armand left the castle. He placed a comforting hand on Lucinda's shoulder. Dozens of Vampires had gathered around them.

"Lucinda is one of us now," he announced, "forget anything anyone said about her being our enemy. Forget anything anyone said about the Unforgiven being our enemy. It would...be to our advantage if we were at peace with them. If our clans are ever at war again, it will not be the Apocalyptica who start it."

Some among the crowd cheered. Some groaned. Vincent chuckled at the groaning - it felt so typical.

"Armand and any who follow him are our enemies now. But we must not be aggressive towards him. If he must be destroyed, it will be a result of the Apocalyptica's defence against him."

The same response as before followed.

"You are dismissed."

Lucinda fell into Vincent's arms and cried on his shoulder. He should stiff for a moment wilst the others left but returned her hug when the room was empty.

"Lucinda, It will be ok?" Vincent whispered in a voice Lucinda had never heard him speak,

"But will it?" Lucinda said looking up at him, her make up smudged on her face.
