I sighed, "you're not gonna give up are you?" It sorta annoyed me, but really I loved it.

He shook his head.

"Nothing's wrong persay. You...I just met you and you already stole a little bit of my heart for simply talking to me. It's...just a new feeling and I'm worried that I'll scare you off or something." I paused and took a breath, feeling conciderably better saying it out loud. "So where'd you move from?"

Kaleb:

"Texas." He replied. "I'm surprised you think you'll scare me off. I'm normally the one to scare people off." He replied. "And I don't ever have to say anything." He shrugged as they walked outside. "You want to go grab somethign to eat?"

Sybyla

My stomach growled, "yeah," I smiled. As we walked towards the lunch room we shuffled my papers together into one neat pile that I could sort through later.

When we had our food we sat in the quietest corner talking, I felt...happy. Happier than I had in the longest time.

Kaleb:

"So, Sib, tell me about yourself." He smiled as he put some food in his mouth.

I shrugged "There's not much to tell. I live with my parents, they get along just fine, I don't have any friends, I never have really. Or a boyfriend. I've never even been kissed." I took a deep breath, "but I love music, it inspires me to paint and I paint how I feel. Which is sometimes an actual painting, or a warped painting, something you might see in a Dr. Suse book, and then into total abstraction." I bit a carrot in half. "I'm pretty dull to tell the truth, just people think I'm scary for some reason."

Kaleb:

"DULL! Are you kidding, your anything but dull." He smiled. "Can I see some of your paintings sometime?" He asked. "Cause I'm sure they're good."

**I have to drop out too. this is moving way too fast, and I am so lost!**

I flushed, "I have some drying in my art class." Could this guy be real?

"What hour do you have art?"

"Last, but I gotta run right from there to the bus on most days. I have my bike today though."

Kaleb:

"Oh, ok, well if you hadn't had it I would've offered you a ride home, but I you have your bike." he smiled. "Plus, you have the same art period I do."

I didn't know how to react to that. "The teacher's not going to like you." I said after a moment.

"Why?"

"We're half way through a project, clay surfacing."

"You guys did clay?"

I nodded.

Arabella

I listened to the others talk. I didn't know much about piano, but I always wanted to learn. As Audra and Vincent spoke, I sat at the piano, stretching my fingers out on the keys.

Still talking with Audra, Vincent places his hands over mine. he began moving my hands along, helping me to play.

Elijah

I smiled at the girl, trying to look friendly. Her eyes met mine.

"I'm Elijah," I said, taking her arm lightly in mine. "Shall I show you around?"

Yes, I was being a horrible flirt. What fun was it any other way?

I decided it wouldn't be such a big deal if I crashed the "party" in the music room. Sure enough, someone had already entered the room besides the two people who were talking.

Vincent, who I assumed was the male voice I heard earlier, was in rare form, simultaneously flirting with two girls. Well, it wasn't necessarily flirting. He chatting up one girl though, while "helping" another.

I pulled a classical guitar from the corner.

"Do you mind if I strum along?"

Kaleb:

"I was pretty good at clay at my last school. So we'll see." He smiled.

Audra (0 Hour)

I waved the girl in. I didn't know her, but why not add company?

"I like to play some classical, some jazz, and a lot of rock or sountracks," I explained. "But I'm trying to get into guitar, maybe start something. Who knows?"
