Senra smiled when she saw Annie walk in. Sam cooed from his carrier that was on the table.

"Guess y'all are forgiven." Annie yawned walking over to where Sam was and sitting down letting him latch onto her finger.

"Excuse me?" Senra asked smiling at her.

"I was going to be mad if y'all were babysitting me and didn't bring Sam to make up for it." She replied with another yawn.

"Oh. You need sleep." Senra replied wlaking over and feeling her forhead. "No temperature that I can feel, but you really need some slee, your like a walking zombie."

"I'm just fine, a little tired is all." Annie replied smiling and making faces at a giggling Sam.

"Colt's worried abotu you. He doesn't want you hurt or anything, including sick." Senra replied firmly crossing her arms.
"And you wonder why we don't like you!" -Trumpkin

Annie

I ignored her statement and played more with Sam. "Whatever you're making it smells amazing."

Phil chuckled, "does that mean you'll be eating with us then?"

"Of course." They smiled and sat down.

When it finished cooking they served it up, Phil had made beef stew. Annie scooped up a lot and put it into her bowl. "This is incredibul," she commented.

"Thanks," Phil said.

After they ate the two fo them packed up and went home, Annie laid back down in bed. She reached for the phone to call Colt, but was asleep before she could dial the number.

Colt bit his lower ilp as he waited for some contact with Annie. But he never got any. He let the nurse take him out on a walk in the wheel chair and then watched fifty different tv shows, least that's what it felt like.

"Where's your fiancee?" A nurse asked walking over.

"I made her go home to get some sleep. She isn't feeling good." He replied. "She hasn't called or anything though."

"I'm sure she's just been sleeping, she's been mighty busy from what I've seen." She replied.

"I know." He sighed. "But I want to know she's ok."

I was pretty sure I had slept for more than twelve hours. I opened my eyes and checked the clock. It showed the date and time. I had slept more than eighteen hours. I felt a lot better now.

I rolled over and picked up the phone. I started dialing Colt's cell as I walked from the bedroom to the kitchen. I hoped we had cereal.

"Annie?" Colt's voice was eager.

"Hi honey!" I exclaimed and started pouring.

"What's that?"

"Cereal hitting the bowl," I explained as I added some milk. "How are you feeling?"

"Almost ready to come home, but the nurses say another week."

"Aww, well I'll come visit you today I miss you."

Colt:

"I miss you too." He sighed against the phone relaxing on the bed. She was ok.

"Well, let me finish this, then I'll come over." She said.

"Ok, bye for now." He said smiling. He shifted his waist and felt his legs move. He couldn't move them where he wanted them though.

"That your fiancee?" THe nurse asked walking in and moving his legs in the right position for him.

"Ya, she's coming to visit." He smiled. "Thanks for the leg adjustment."

"Your welcome. Can you feel?"

"Ya, but I can't move them." He sighed.

"It's a good thing that you can feel them. That's the first step to moving them."

I ran out the apartment and flagged a cab down. First I had him go through a McDonalds drive through and get two double cheeseburgers, fries and two shakes.

"All for yourself?" he teased.

"Only half, the other is for my husband, he's in the hospital."

He made a face, "hospital food kills more than the diseases and injuries do."

I laughed, "those were my thoughts."

I shoved the food into my bag and snuck it into his room. He was asleep. So I lightly walked over and set his food by his bed. I walked over to the chair beside the bed and sat down.

"I hope you wake up before your fries get cold," I whispered.

He peered at me out of the corner of his eye and smiled, "or my shake melts."
I just lost the game.

COlt's smile got bigger when she smiled. "Thanks." He said opening both his eyes and grabbing some fries.

"No need for thanks." She said scooting closer and smiling at him.

"Want some?" He asked.

"I've got my own."

"Good." he smiled and took a bite from the burger.

I smiled at him, I was glad he still had an appetite. "Do your legs hurt?"

He nodded and finished his bite, "yeah, but its a good pain."

"Good pain?" I tilted my head at him.

"It means that I'll be able to walk at our wedding and dance."

I smiled, I knew how much this meant to him, I was really glad myself that he'd be able to dance with me. I loved dancing with him.

"I brought some of the plans by the way," I said smiling, "want to go over them?"

We spent the rest of the day going through the plans for the wedding, we smiled and laughed and almost forgot that he was in the hospital. It would only be another week before he would be sent home, in a wheelchair of course, but it would be another month before he would be switched to krutches and then it was up to him when he was able to walk normally. He would'nt want to stay on the krutches for more than a week at the most, I'd insist on him taking a cane around. I'd buy him a fancy one.
I just lost the game.

The month passed by in a flash and Colt was happy to be home. He rubbed his legs as he sat in the wheelchair and looked around the small apartment.

"No trying anything stupid when your alone." Annie warned.

"Who me?" He smiled.

"Yes you. You don't want to mess up your legs worse."

"Right."

I leaned down to add something, "and, if you do do something stupid, you will regret it."

He cocked an eyebrow at me. "Oh yeah?"

I nodded, "yeah."

"What will happen to me?"

"I will hide all of your clothes, and make you wear mine."

Phil

Phil held the camera up to Sam's eye level, "come on Sammie, come to daddy!"

Senera stood behind him laughing hysterically. "She's still too little!"
I just lost the game.

**Sam is a boy. :P **

Colt:

"They'd be better then this hospital gown." He teased her. She laughed and gently hit his shoulder.

"You are impossible." She smiled.

"And you love it." He pulled her face to his and kissed her sweetly.

Senra:

Sam reached for the camera as he clung tightly to the coffee table. "I say he can do it." Phil laughed. Senra shook her head as she sat down. "Look, here he comes."

"He's still holding the coffee table." Senra giggled.

"He's getting up his momentum, he has two steps from the coffee table to me." Phil grinned. She couldn't stop laughing, Phil was enjoying himself and Sam seemed to be happy too with all the laughter. She watched as he got to the end of the table and reached for the camera again. "Can on, buddy, you can do it!" Sam stood, letting go of the table and then took a big step before hurdling forward. Phil caught him and smiled.

"Maybe next time." She smiled.

"HEy, we know he has the guts to do it." Phil replied smiling at Sam who was trying to get the camera from him.
