"That it is," I agreed softly, putting an arm around Caralina's shoulders. I wasn't even aware of what I was doing, not that it really mattered. No one would see, and no one would care if they learned that she was a woman. She'd already done better than most of the crew on quite a few things.
Caralina looked up at me, her eyes held shock.
Suddenly I became more aware of exactly what I was doing. What I was feeling, to be more particular.
I did not move.
"Does this bother you?" I asked, making it clear that I would move the moment she said yes, as I was sure she would.
**Well firstly, if you read the DT i said no more female pirates. And second, you didn't fill out a complete profile. PM me and maybe we can work something out. Sorry to sound rude, I don't mean it in a bad way!**
Caralina didn't know what to say. She shrugged, she couldn't believe how she was feeling. It was strange, different. "I-I don't care." She stuttered. She watched as her fingers traced the wood again. "What made you want to be a captain?"
**Ambercoultis, it would be much appreciated if your posts were more than one line. And please make sure you've read the rest of hte storybook, or have someone else bring you in. RIght now all the crew is supposed to be below deck, apart from TNcowgirl's character, Caralina/Peter, and the captain. Thank you.**
**sorry for the double post. Also the horrible grammar at the end is on purpose.**
Captian Raphael
"I'm not quite sure, to be honest," I replied, mulling the question over. "I think it was mainly because I was a stowaway at one point in time too..."
"You were?" Caralina sounded quite surprised.
"I was. I was around nine years of age, and the captain took me in as his own. He was like a father to me, and it really inspired me. Either way, here I am," I smiled down at her. "What about you? Why are you on a pirate ship, of all places? Surely you could be settled down with a nice man instead of here with all us dogs?"
"Not where I'm from, I rather walk the plank then marry a man from there. My father just died. I didn't have anything keeping me there, I had to get away." She said, she hadn't really talked to anyone about it. She had just taken off leaving everything to her other siblings. She couldnt' live with out him, without him she was defenseless. SHe was the half sister to the others and victim to her father's enimies. They had tried once to hurt her leaving a nasty scar on her neck, but she had gotten away. Now that he was gone they wanted revenge. The sea was her only escape. Her hand itched to touch the scar, but she fought it.
I listened to what she said, attempting to understand what she was keeping to herself. I noticed a mark on her neck, and reached down, running my fingers across it lightly.
Caralina didn't know what to do when his lips pressed against her's. She felt like she was floating in the air. When he pulled back she looked up at him not knowing what to do. "I-" She just looked at him. She couldn't pull her eyes away from his, she could feel her cheeks burning like a fire had been put under her cheeks.
