Tyrant---

Tyrant swallowed hard, did she know?

"Yes, I've heard that they are to be killed on site." He said getting deeper into the cave letting his wings out. His back protested, and he pulled them back in.

Renian~

Renian sat down. "Yes, they are," she agreed, a hint of fear in her voice as a clap of thunder rang around them. She quickly pulled her wings in and began to breathe deeply. Scared of thunder? How stupid am I. She cursed at herself.

Tyrant---

Tyrant walked back where she was and unwrapped the cat's head, keeping it in his lap. "He won't run off if I let him go will he?" HE asked looking up at her.

Karana

I stared at the sky. This was not normal...something was wrong; I could feel it.

The way these clouds move, and the sounds! Something is coming, but the question is what?

And I hope Kai is okay.

I grabbed my packs and jumped down from the ceiling, making my way towards the forest, where I would find better shelter.

I was right. I soon found a cave, but it was already occupied.

"Hello?" I called out to the man and woman before me, hoping they were friends.

**I've noticed I don't post as often as you do, TN and Luna, so could you try and not leave me behind? Please?**

Renian~

"No he won't run." Renian replied to Tyrant as a call came from the mouth of the cave. Renian jumped at the voice. "Hello," she replied shyly, standing up and walking towards the cave's mouth.

Tyrant---

Tyrant looked towards the entrance and stood close to Renian still holding the cat in his arms.

"Come on in out of the storm." He called.

Tyrant---

"Let's get a fire going." Tyrant said putting his arm around Renian's shoulders and pulled her farther into the cave. He put logs together and quickly lit a fire handing the cat to Renian.

Renian~

Renian slowly stroked the, now calm, cat, her eyes darting from the girl to Tyrant and back to Striker. Her ears twitched at a sound outside of the cave. Striker hissed and pricked his ears. Renian softly sang a song to the cat, to low for the others to hear over the rain and cackling fire.

Tyrant---

Tyrant got up from where he was sitting and sat next to Renian staring into the fire. He knew that he would be in trouble if someone showed up because he wouldn't be able to see.

(Okay, just for the sake of keeping the story going let's just move on to when the storm destroys the city. By the way, Dragon Knights are only killed on sight in this city if they're anything other than human. Just so you know, Kuri City is the only place in Horagothien that's like that.)

The clouds had already made their way over the city. From where the cave was situated Karana and the others had a full view of the city.

"I've never seen storm clouds like that before," Karana said.

"Me neither," Tyrant said as he began to light the fire.

Once Tyrant had a good flame going a powerful gust of wind came and blew it out. Karana was taken off-guard by the strong wind and fell on her back. With that gust of wind Karana felt something, something big. She had sensed it when the storm was getting close like a prick in the back of her mind. She hadn't even noticed it until now. But now that she knew what she was looking for she could feel a dark presence within the clouds.

The presence within the cloud sent a wind of chilling energy through her body. She caught her breath in her throat as fear suddenly filled her body like a glass of water.

"Do you feel that?" Renian asked.

Karana nodded. "...Yeah."

"What is it?" Tyrant asked. Before anyone could say anything else a thundering roar blasted forth from the cloud.

The roar was so loud it echoed through the entire city. Karana strained her ears when the echoing stopped to hear that all activity in Kuri City had stopped in that exact moment. Karana could feel her own heart beating in her throat. Something was going to happen.

And it did. Something emerged from the clouds. It was the head of a giant dragon. Its head was like one giant skull with dark green fire burning in the eye sockets. The dark clouds began to recede further into the sky, revealing the dragon's serpentine body. The dragon was colossal, long enough to encircle Kuri City with its body twice. It's black scales were even darker than the night sky.

Karana could hear the screams of all the city-folk as the dragon loomed over the city. It let out another earth-shaking roar. Demons of all shapes and sizes began to rain down into the city from the skies.

(All I can say is this: for the safety of your characters, run.)

Renian~

Renian quickly grabbed Striker up in her arms. She reached out for the others, finding them easily. Together they ran as fast as they could.

Karana

That was my old home, my family, my past, but upon seeing the dragon and demons, all thought vanished aside from one: run.

I did. I pulled my bow off of my back and held several arrows in the other, and I sprinted. I had never run so fast or hard before, but it felt good. Getting away felt good.

Then I realized something worse: where was Kai?

I could only hope he would be alive and meet me later on; it was too late to turn back and look for him.
