The Dragon Knight Legacy - Chronicle of Heros

I thought it might be fun to do a storybook based off the book I'm writing. I'm guessing most of you have never read my work in the fantasy fiction forum, so if you're interested in learning more about what this storybook is going to be about you can go to my profile and look through my portfolio for the series entitled Dragon Knight Legacy (REMAKE). If you don't have the time or just don't feel like it, that's cool. You'll be finding out more about the story as the storybook goes on. But I will ask you to at least read the first half of the prologue for your own benefit, just so you have a general idea of what the history is and where we stand right now in the story: topic16929.html

The story takes place around 1500-1600 on a continent in the Pacific Ocean east of Japan. The continent is called Horagothien. This story takes place in the second largest city on the continent, Kuri City.

There are four races you can choose from: Human, Elf, Demon and Half-breed. Demons in this story are not demons in the traditional sense. They're powerful creatures that can think and plan just as well as humans, but most of the time their basic instincts override the higher parts of their brains. A half-breed is a species that was cross bred between two of the other three races I mentioned. Now, on top of this you can also choose whether or not you want your character to be a Dragon Knight.

A Dragon Knight is not a race in itself, rather something on top of what the person already is. For example, a human was influenced by an Earth Dragon as an infant and grows up to become a Dragon Knight. The child is still considered to be a human, except it has wings, can use magic and has demon-like strength. Same goes for demons and elves.

In order to have a Dragon Knight character you have to specify which Earth Dragon influenced them: Fire, Thunder, Ice, Darkness, Light. This gives them an affinity with a certain element of magic and can, sometimes, shape the person's personality over time. As you know, Darkness means evil and Light means good, but Fire, Thunder and Ice mean strength, speed and endurance. A Fire Dragon Knight would be strong at heart, but sometimes has a fiery temper. Thunder is quick to think and act, but sometimes jumps the gun on many things. Ice is hardy and resistant to verbal abuse, but can also be cold to others.

Personality: A good hearted person, will help someone in need if he knows he can. Has a lot of integrity and sometimes gets mad when someone doesn't share the same integrity as he does.
History: Kai Okami lives with his mother in the slums of Kuri City. Because of his heritage just about everyone in the city hates him. The only two people in the entire city who actually care about him are his mother and his childhood friend, Karana. Kai's mother is human and his father was a great wolf demon. His father, Hikatsume, used to live in Japan with the rest of his tribe before fleeing to Horagothien for a peaceful life on his own with his son, Kujimaru. It was here that he met Ryana, Kai's mother, and fell in love. Hikatsume fell in battle protecting the woman he loved from a terrifying dragon, at the time Ryana was pregnant with Kai. Kai had only heard stories of his father from his mother, but from those stories he knew Hikatsume was a noble demon who protected humans and fellow demons alike. He wants to be just like his father.

Important!

For the people who are starting with me at the beginning, just like VG Rumble you won't be able to use magic right away if you're a Dragon Knight. The way Dragon Knight magic works, or Chaotic magic as it's usually called, is it cannot be used without the use of incantations. Only I know the incantations to my own story, so throughout the storybook I'm going to throw in a few words here and there during dialog and battles. I'll keep an updated list of all the words our characters have heard, and out of that list you can use the magic that corresponds with the word. You can also use different combinations of the incantations to get different effects.

Does that make sense to everyone, or should I give you some examples?

At age two she was taught how to defend herself from the hateful citizens of Kuri City. At age five she was taught how to kill, but didn't kill unless it was necessary. The day she turned ten, she watched her mother lose it and kill her father. A few days after her fathers murder, her mother was caught and hung. Now, she's alone in a world of hate...

Appearance: Tall, slim and graceful build, standing about 6' 2" and weighing about 125 lbs. He has pitch black hair and yellow-brown eyes flecked with blue. He wears clothes fitting for the occasion and almost always wears a black cape with a hood.

Personality: Matching his influence, Sail is normally a very dark person. He doesn't like to let others get very close to him or vice versa. He can seem nice if he likes you, but it goes against his normal personality and thus he doesn't do it often. He is usually prone to sarcastic or witty remarks.

History: Sail grew up in a poor elven home with his mother and older brother. His father had died when he was three and his mother refused to talk about it to anyone. Sail ran away at the age of 16, was perused by his older brother who finally found him and gave him the guilt trip about leaving their mother. Sail got away and has been on the run ever since. He isn't sure if his brother is still trying to find him or not.

History: Ryth led a normal, happy life for the most part until his parents disappeared. He is not used to not having a home and being confused, he was very close to his family so not having them around is hard on him. He is looking for them and trying to handle his life.

Japanese is fine. Actually, Horagothien is at war with Japan right now so it'd add to the story if somebody spoke Japanese.

I just read the Prologue, amazing story. Wow.

(Okay, but TN, water is not one of the elements of Chaos. The elements goes as follows: Fire, Thunder, Ice, Darkness, Light. If you want to use water magic, that's fine. All I ask is that you change your character's influence to Ice.)

(So, I don't have any ideas at the moment how to start off my character, so I'll let you guys do it first.)
