*And I'm talking to a vampire who just moved into town, after trying to befriend a wizard.*

I nodded. Finally, I understood.

"Ah, I get it now," I muttered, but I knew she could hear me anyway. "You're not new, you just don't understand. You lived in a different world, a different society where all the races interacted and got along with one another."

She nodded, still behaving like an unsure child.

"It's okay. You just need to get adjusted to your new neighborhood." Then I thought. "Of course, you could always come to me for help."

I moved to walk back down the street, towards the Grill. I knew James had already left; that was fine. I knew his scent; I could catch up with him later and talk some more.

"Are you sure?" she called out. "I feel bad enough already...I wouldn't want to cause anymore trouble..." she blushed.

I stopped, chuckling.

"You worry too much!" I laughed, looking back at her. "I'm telling you the truth! Trust me."

She smiled. "Yeah...I've been accused of being a perfectionist. Okay...well, at least I have one friend. Thanks, by the way."

Sophia:

She saw a wizard hovering above a vampire and human.

"He's cute." she thought as she hid herself in the shadows, carefully watching from a distance. "Wonder who he is."

*Sophia? Where did she come from?*

"I can take care of myself." She replied eyeing him caustiously. Colt could smell a wizard close by and it unsettled him. He thought quickly of what to say next.

"I'm sure there are some things out here that could do you major harm. I'm just trying to be nice." He replied shifting his feet.

"And why would you want to be nice to a total stranger?" She demanded,

"I....well....cause if someone was there to help total strangers most people's lives who are ruined one way or there other wouldn't have been ruined." He replied,

"Well I can take care of myself." She replied,

"I'm sure you can." He replied with a smile, he was getting no where. Her eyes widened a tad and he snapped his mouth closed cursing himself inside for being so stupid.

"You're a vampire," she said.

He nodded, "yes I am."

"Are you looking for a free meal?" she asked.

"No, I just....decided to talk to you."

"I try not to socilize with vampires," she said.

"You smell like a vampire though, you've got its residue on you."

"I'm a vampire slayer," she said. "So I wouldn't stay much longer if i were you."

"You wouldn't kill me," he replied and almost caused Caiden to laugh.

"And why wouldn't i?"

"Because you're used to killing vampires who plan to attack you right?" she nodded, "i do not plan to attack you."
I just lost the game.

"And how do I know that?" She demanded,

"Well now, thats a problem isn't it." He crossed his arms across his chest and thought. "First off, your a skilled killer, I'm not. I'm not stupid, I may be young for a vampire, but I'm not stupid." He smiled again.

She tilted her head to the side, "how old are you?"

"Ninteen, I was just turned recently."

"Ah! that would explain it. BUt you're still a vampire."

"And you're a vampire hunter, everyone knows how that works."

"How what works?"

"THe vampire vampire-hunter thing."

"OF course, Vampire hunter kills the vampire."

"Yet I am still alive."
I just lost the game.

"What is your point?" She demanded,

"To tell the truth I'm not quiet sure. it made sense at the time." He stuffed his hands back in his pocket and shrugged, "So, I have a couple of questions for you?"

"What?"

"Do you know the wizard that is floating above us and why do you hunt vampires?" He asked making himself seem as harmless as he could.
