Caiden sighed, "The wizard's name is Slade, he's going to get his butt kicked later, and I hunt vampires because I get paid big bucks for it."

"So you have no personal agenda?"

"Only when they try to attack me."

"So do you have a personal problem with me?"

"Not yet."

**I"m back, and here I go...I guess**

~Bella~

I walked through the woods between the high schools football field, and my house. I hated football games with a passion as firey hot as the stadium lights, but Tristan liked them, and I would do anything for him.

My cheerleading outfit was his favorite part...

Now I was wearing my black skirt, the one that really wasn't long enough to be a skirt, with a pair of jeans under it. I wore my boots, clumsy looking as they were, over my jeans, and a black tank top. Over this was a long, black leather trench coat.

I heard footsteps behind me...whoever it was smelled strange. Their blood had an abnormal tinge to it... I didn't want to fight, I was too sore from the brightness of the lights and all the flipping I had done.

"Who's there?" I asked slowly, keeping my pace normal.

"Thats good, I'm sure there are other ways to get big bucks cause sooner or later you'll find a vampire that is stronger then you." He said rocking back on his heels.

"That wont happen for awhile." She replied confidentually.

"It might, you never know." He replied.

"ANd how would you know? You've never seen me hunt."

"And thankfully so."

Slade dropped down and instantly had a knife to the vampire's heart "Is he bothering you?"

Caiden kicked the feet out from under him, "you are."

She stepped on his chest with one foot and extended her hand to Colt. "I'm Caiden, this dork of a wizard is Slade."

James-

I stopped in my tracks and glanced up quickly. I had no idea there had been anyone near me. A quick glance around told me i was near the high school, walking on the outskirts of the football fields. A young girl stood about thirty feet ahead.

"I'm James," I said. "Sorry, i had no idea i was this close to the school. I was only out for a walk."

I stepped into the light and held up my hands to show i meant her no harm. With high-schoolers, I never knew what to expect. I wasn't very good with younger people. Then again...i wasn't any good with people, period.

"I'm Colt," Colt said shaking her hand, "Hello Slade," Caiden removed her foot from Slade's chest and Colt offered him a hand up but he refused standing up and nearly glaring at Colt. "I don't suggest you pull that knife on me again."

"I'll do what I want." Slade hissed,

"Suit yourself." Colt looked back at Caiden. "Now I must be leaving, sense it seems you have an escort." He bowed and then straightened back up smiling at her. "Maybe I'll see you around." With that he turned and left.

Sophia:

She quickly and quietly stepped out of the showdows. She really didn't want to see this vamp get hurt, even if it was a vampire. Plus she saw an opertunity to meet another wizard around here. But then she saw the vampire leaving...

"Hum. I wonder what is going on..." She carefully approached the now bickering human and wizard, curious as to what was happening.

"Aren't we going to hunt him?" Slade asked disappointed.

"No," Caiden said watching him go, "no we're not."

"WHy not? He's a vampire!"

"HE hasn't done anything yet."

"Yet."

"And he's only 19."

"Or so he says."

Caiden rolled her eyes and walked away, "Go home Slade."

"Screw you." he replied, getting annoyed with her telling him what to do, and hurting him when he tried to protect her.

'I wonder what she would do if i just dissappeared for a while. Make it seem like i left her, and see how she reacted.' just as the thought came in his mind, he knew he would try it.

He jumped into the air."I never want to see you or talk to you again Caiden. Just leave me alone from now on." he left her there, but she didnt react, and it seemed she didnt even care. Soon he was contemplating actually leaving, and coming back in a few months.'Nah, that would be a bit too harsh.' he thought.

Caiden held a straight face until he dissappeared from view, then she couldn't help but let a huge grin spread across her face, it was all she could do to stop from bursting out in laughter. Did he really think that she would panic and act helpless without him? Silly man.

She hailed a cab and went home, locking the door, but not bothering to put up the charms Slade gave her to keep out vampires and witches.

She took the steaks out of her belt loops and pulled out her keys and dropped them on the coffee table. Then she collapsed onto the couch and fell asleep.

*Next morning*

'Time for faze 1.' thought Slade. Normally he would meet Caiden outside her door to start the day. He had done this faithfully for many years. Right at 8:30 was the normal time.

8:30 came, and Caiden looked outside. She looked unfazed, and went back in.'In time, in time.' he thought. He couldnt wait to finally teach her her lesson.

Colt had followed the girl home, at a very good distance for sure, but he had wanted to see where she lived. At 8:30 sharp she stepped out the door then went back inside, she might have been waiting for someone and they weren't there but he didn't know. He frowned as his stomach growled, how he hated it when he got hungry. He quicky made his way to the outskirts of town and to a farm to find a cow or something to feed on. Then he would make his way back and take care of cleaning his apartment and then finding something else to do. The money his father had left for him when he had died would keep him alive for years to come.

*Hmm...seems like I just disappeared...humph*

Adri

I sat still in my living room, a canvas in front of me, paints beside me, and a scene around me. I couldn't resist the temptation.

As I painted, using the slowest and most careful strokes possible, a song rose in my head again. That song I'd learned long ago as a vocal student...it only fit the setting.

Amarilli, Mia Bella.

Yes, that would be the title of my painting...perfect for a set of a dozen roses in a glass vase with a secret admirer's note folded in front of it. My author's pen lay to the side, adding another interesting detail.

Amarilli, Mia Bella. Amarillys, My Love.

It fit, perfectly.

Well, except for the name. I was not Amarillys, but Adrianne...but it was still close enough.

Sophia:

She took out her spell book. She had been dying to learn new spells! She loved to learn and read. So what better way to spend her morning than in silent meditation. "Hopefully I will not be disturbed!" She chuckled. It seemed everytime she tried this, someone came knocking at her door. She sighed and curled up on the windowsill and opened up the book to the first chapter. "Let's see...what do we have here..."

Alex:

She walked slowly and silently toward the school. She couldn't wait to open up the new text book and see what these ignorant mortals thought of "history". She loved knowing what actually happened instead of what supposedly happened. A thrill went through her and chills formed on her pale skin. WHo couldn't love history? She made her way to the class room, nervous and scared, wondering what she should expect of her new students. She took a deep breath and pushed on the door to her room.

"Good morning, class, I'm Miss Alexus. I am your new History teacher."

Caiden poked her head outside breifly, looking for Slade, he wasn't there. Perfect, she'd be able to take the day off and just be lazy for once. She didn't really feel like going hunting tonight.

She hadn't read in a while, nothing other than news papers and her paperwork. ANd she had over a dozen unread novels on her shelf. Maybe it was indeed time for a vacation. Smiling she went to the kitchen to go cash in her rewards, tell them she was goin on vacation, and go to the gerocery store and get enough sweets, and salts, and baking supplies to last her her two weeks.

Grabbing her keys she bounded out the door and went to the store, a huge grin on her face.
I just lost the game.
