Caden swung her leg around and kicked the vampire's head in, while it lay on the ground recovering she pulled out her dagger and delivered a quick blow through its heart, it turned to dust. She smiled and marked another tally on her clip board. She had killed four vampires this summer, she flipped the page and looked at her tallys for the summer before.
"What's the difference?" Slade asked, after sneaking up behind her.
"Slade! don't do that! I almost killed you!"
Slade just laughed, "as if you could have done just that!"
I sat at home...well, more or less. There was nothing to do here, no way to enjoy one's endless time...
I sighed as I got that feeling. Again? Damn. Vampires didn't behave anymore. They fed and killed people, bringing their own "death" upon themselves. At least I had no fear of that...you could have called me a "vegetarian."
I picked up the remote and flipped through the channels again, finally settling on a show about meerkats on the Animal Planet.
Time was always slow, even when my attention was occuypied. I guess that's just a way when you're semi-immortal.
Semi-immortal. That was appropriate. I lived forever unless I was killed, which was quite hard to do. I doubted anyone would hunt me, though, for I was in truth harmless. I've never bitten a human, and I never would.
I clicked the television off as another episode of Animal Cops came on, and stood, making my way for the door. A stroll in the night wouldn't be so bad. There was nothing else to do, anyway.
Caden kicked him in the shoulder hard enough to break his concentration and making him drop her. She hit the ground and immedietly kicked the feet out from under him. He hit the ground with a groan and a thud. She whipped out one of her steaks and sat on his chest, holding the steak just above his heart.
"Gonna do that again?" she asked slightly teasingly.
"Not right now."
She smiled and stood up, backing up enough in order to pull him up as well.
Caiden rolled her eyes and turned away, walking home. She didn't know if Slade was following her or not, She just wanted to go home and get some sleep before she returned and collected her bounty for the pair of fangs in her pocket.
*All right, Maybe and TN, I can bring you in, maybe you too, Bear!*

I walked down the street, several blocks in the misty night. At least rain had come again; it was better than sunshine, anyway.
I heard the muted clamor of the grill before I saw the neon lights. MJ's Grill. It had always been a good place, and MJ was easy to get along with. A kind, perky woman who would help out anyone in need.
I glimpsed a figure rounding the next corner - approaching me - and recognized him instantly. It was my stalker, Tanner, the one person who truly loved me. Did he even know what I was, what I could do, what lay dormant within me? A monster?
I entered the grill and three familiar scents tickled my nose. The various, inticing aroma of humans, of course; the strong, earthen scent of a new vampire; and the peculiar, funny smell of a wizard.
Colt watched a girl walk in. He looked her over and frowned, he needed to get out of here before he was tempted to bite someone one. He walked past her and nodded. He moved out onto the street when he saw her. A humen no doubt, she was walking briskly, but there was the smell of death on her. He moved towards her, she heard him and spun around quickly.
"What do you want?" She demanded,
"Well this town isn't known for being safe. I thought maybe you would want someone to accompany you to where ever you were going so you aren't harmed." He smiled sticking his hands in his pockets. She smelled like vampire, it wasn't her own scent but it was on her.
*You can have him break the news about the vampire, that is all I got.*
