Mythical Creatures of Sada

Telayna walked over to Nicarga, Syden, and the girl. She sat crossed legged and looked at the girl.

"So who is she?" Telayna asked.

"Yera. She was adopted by a human family and they were killed." Nicarga said. Telayna felt a pang in herself deep inside. She knew how it felt to have someone take you in after you had lost everything and then killed. The girl woke up and looked around. Her eyes were wide at Telayna.

"Hi Yera. I'm Telayna. Nicarga told me about what happened. I'm sorry but I know how you feel. The same thing happened to me. I know it's horrible." Telayna said. The girl shed a few tears but still looked cautious.

"Don't worry I don't bite. But I do give awesome hugs." She laughed and held her arms out. Yera smiled and walked into Telayna's arms.

"You're right. You do give awesome hugs." Yera giggled.

"Why thank you. I have to go talk to Lethero though. Don't let Syden eat you." She said as she stood up. The girls eyes were struck with fear.

"I was joking. He's as harmless as a puppy." Telayna said and rubbed Syden's head laughing. She walked around looking for Lethero.

NIcarga could've sworn Syden was about to growl at Telayna but when Yera looked at him he just smiled.

"You don't bite do you?" Yera asked.

"Not you," He smiled,

"Yera, Syden is just as harmless to you as I am." Nicarga said yawning.

(Sorry i havn't posted in awhile. My internet kept throwing me off so i was only on long enough to make a fiew posts)


Kailani focused her power and teleported back to the pack. She ran forward and colapsed near a large group of dragons. Pain ran through her body and she stared down and the stab wound on her stomach. After Raiana and Lethero had left to rejoin the pack, Kailani had decided to see if she could find where It was hiding. Bid mistake.

'Kailani!'

Kailani lifted her head slightly just in time to see Raiana running forward, followed by another dragon. She could see the others in the distance, Nicarga, Syden, Lethero, Teleyana, Georgia...

Kailani head fell back just as Raiani reached her and she could see no more.

"So you can't sleep either?" Lethero asked.

"Yeah," Georgia said, "I was walking up here to see if I could get tired."

"Me too, but I can't sleep because I feel like I have the lives of alomst everyone in the world's life in my paws. All those creatures down there are depending on me to live. I don't think I can do it."

"You're doing a great job so far, Lethero. Don't feel over pressured."

"Lethero, there you are," called Telayna's voice.

"Who is this? Whats wrong with her?" Alje asked, following behind Raiana like a puppy.

"An old friend." Raiana said worridly, turning Kailani over.

"Ouch." Alje sucked in her breath as she saw the wound. "Can you heal her?"

"I'll try. It looks bad." Raiana turned to the young dragon. "Go and get me Lethero. I thought i saw him up somewhere on the mountain."

Alje nodded and flew to where Raiana had pointed. Raiana turned back to Kailani. She quickly lay her hand on the horrible wound and wispered a few words. Blood flowed freely from her stomach, but stoped moments after the healing took effect. Raiana sighed and said a few more words to close it up.

Kailani drew a breath and let out. Raiana held her breath. Kailani took another and Raiana sighed in relief. Her breathing was irrigular, but at least she was breathing.

She needed to talk to her friend, now. raiana took out a gleaming pearl and a few leaves from a pouch on her belt. She crouched down and put the leaves under Kailani's tongue. Raiana then held the pearl to her own chest.

Raiana wispered ancient words of magic and felt some of her strength drain. The pearl began to glow softly. She spoke the words again and more of her strength disappeared, flowing into the pearl.

Raiana held the pearl inches above Kailani's heart and crumpled it in her hand. The glowing dust fell on Kailani and her breathing became peaceful and even. Raiana sighed and sat back, compleatly exausted. Those spells had almost compleatly drained her.

Alje flew to them. A man was seated on her back, and Teleyana flew next to her. She lighted down and the man jumped off. Raiana sighed in relief as the man changed into a were wolf and ran over. It was Lethero.

"Raiana, what happened!?" he demanded, catching sight if Kailani.

"Take a guess." Raiana said, rage replacing her exaustion.

Lethero scowed. "It."

"Alje, how are the other dragons doing?" Raiana demanded.

"Better." Alje said, slightly confused.

"Lethero. I take back what i said before. This ends, now." Raiana said, her rage and anger obvious on her face.

"I agree." Lethero said.

Telayna had no idea what was going on. She hated when she was clueless.

"What ends now? Why are all these magical creatures coming to this pack? Why the hell can't I take a single peaceful breathe without someone running through the woods with injuries and deaths?" She cried.

"Telayna. Calm down." Lethero said to her. "These are dark times. Everyone has come here looking for help and I'm here to give it." He said.

"Lethero?"

"Yes?"

"Why do you have to have such a damn big heart? You could have said no to every single creature here!! You could've lived with your pack and been happy! Why? Just tell me why."

"I think we need to talk about this later." He said.

"No! It's always later. Later Later Later!!! I'm sick of it. I know you think I'm losing it but I'm not! I just am thinking of you. And all the wolves. Every time a new person comes along, your wolves are in danger. You are responsible for another life. I don't know how you do it, but it pains me to watch. This is why, even though I'd love to stay more than anything, I'm leaving. I will feel better to know that you have two less lives that you are responsible for. Me and Althen are going. Goodbye Lethero."

She knew everyone thought she was over reacting. And it might seem like it, but it was all logical to her. She flew up and Althen followed. Her tears were coming down like rain. She thought that the rain that had just started to pour down were her tears till she realized it was raining. Great. We're gonna have problems flying in this. She didn't care though she flew on with Althen. Leaving everyone she cared about behind. Again.

"What me to bring her back?" Raiana asked.

"No it be her choice," Lethero said without emotion. "I only do what I do My mother always did this, so I guess I be taking after her."

"Why do think Telayna flew off?"

"Becaus eshe doesn't understand, she's worried for herself. She's right about everytime we find somebody new there is more trouble, but trouble can be fougght through. But I know she'll be around here Althen stayed, she won't leave without him. If we ever get into trouble, I know she'll return."

"Lethero, she was right," Raiana said jokenly, "you do have a damn soft heart."

Syden smiled and gently touched Yera's head with his snout. "I won't bite you," he said. "But I'll make a deal with you. If I accidentally bite you, you can bite me. Deal?"

The girl laughed and nodded.

Raiana turned from Lethero, who was looking into the black sky. She sighed and looked at Kailani who was sleeping peacefully. Raiana, in human form, curled up into a ball beside her friend and fell asleep.

Lethero looked around the camp and sighed. He was now responsible from all these creatures.

"Dont worry about it. You'll find a way to keep them safe someday." Raiana mumbled, peering out through one eye. Lethero smiled.

"I sure hope so. I'd hate to lose any of them."

Raiana smiled warily and closed her eye. Within moments she was asleep.

Nicarga laughed at the comment Lethero kept getting.

"You are soft hearted at times." SHe said to Lethero, "But you also seem to know when to keep from being that way."

Georgia didn't bother to go down when Taylena and Athen left. She figured they would eventually. She laid back against the hill. There was a rumble and something came over the hill.

Before Georgia could process what was going on she was hit and thrown down to the bottom of the hill.

Stumbeling to her feet she pushed on her shoulder and ran to Lethero. "Lethero!" She gasped, pointed to the hill and collapsed.

Nicarga jumped up surprised at the yell. Lethero was immediatly running down the hill Nicarga on his tail.

"Georgia," Lethero called to her.

"Is she ok?" NIcarga asked.

Lethero stared at Nicarga for a good while. "People always think of me being aggressive, escpecially humans."

"Would you save one if you got the chance?" Nicarga asked.

"I would save a human child because, if you can get there pups, then you can make them see that you aren't bad, and then they'll always be thinking how they were saved by a Werewolf that we aren't bad."

Raiana shot up at the sound of Georgia's voice. She gently shook Kailani who opened her eyes slowly and blinked a few times.

"Come on, we have to get you out of here. It followed you." Raiana said, lifting Kailani up on her back gently. She took off and took Kailani to a clearing a good ways away.

"Stay here." Raiana said. She Beat her wings furiously, trying to get back befoer anyone was hurt. She landed next to Lethero.

"We've got a major problem." Lethero said. "If i die, tell Nicarga she is the leader of my pack." he sucked in a breath when he saw the huge black form come over the hill. "This is NOT going to be easy."

"Nothing ever, ever is." Raiana said grimly.

It approached.

Lethero watched as the black shadow approached. "So, this is the dead priest?" he asked"

"Yes," Raiana replied.

"So how do we kill this thing? I don't think my sword will be able to hit it, nor my teeth."
