Telayna listened and thought about Sam. I had been a long while. Would he believe her if she told him. Would he help her?

"Lethero. I think I know someone who can help us. But I don't know if he will. I mean, I think he will...but I truly don't know."

"Who is it?"

"It's a man. He took care of me once. He's like, well, he'd be like a leader of a pack, but to the humans."

"And you think he can help with a treaty?"

"I don't know. Let me go ahead and see him. Maybe, if he cares enough for me, he'll help." She turned to Althen to see a look of boiling anger.

"Another one of your boyfriends eh?" She gave him an ice cold glare. "Sorry. I don't know. What will happen if he don't trust you. Or if he rejects?" Lethero asked.

"There's a chance I could die. I'd have to show him my true form. Last time I did that...they tried to kill me. So that's why you need to stay back. If he says no...you guys will be ok. He could only kill me."

"No! I won't let you." Althen stepped forward.

"You can't tell me what I can or can't do! If we want a treaty we need him."

"We will watch him. If he tries to harm you I will slit his throat." Lethero said gripping his sword.

"I understand." Telayna nodded.

"No! You aren't going! I am not letting you."

"Althen. It makes sense. She'll be fine. We are more than enough protection." Lethero said.

"But I don't want her going. She can't. Not with that foul trash of a human."

"He's not trash! He's gentle. And kind..."Telayna said tried to hold back tears.

"I see what's going on. Althen, would you stop the safety of this pack just because you are jealous?" Lethero growled.

"What? Althen...you don't own me! How could you be jealous? I can choose whoever I want. Just cause you're an Alan doesn't mean a thing. You haven't proven much to me either!" Telayna was filled with rage. "I'm going ahead." She turned to Lethero. "Stay hidden and don't get mixed up with anything. I will get the treaty. He won't hurt me, so don't worry. He cares for me. A lot." She shot a glance at Althen.

Fyra turned to Telayna. "I could come with you, if you like. I have experience with humans, so I won't spook him or attack him, and it may make some here more comfortable to know you're not alone." The firedrake shifted slightly, glancing around the group. "Unless I'm needed somewhere else?"

Alje perked her ears as she listened to the conversation. All of the sudden a sing song voice chirped up, "I could go with you Telayna...."

Alje snorted and lifted her head slightly, opening her eyes. A small firedrake stood next to Lethero and Telayna.

"I have lots of experience with the humans so i wont spook or attack him, and it may be more comfortable to know you're not alone."

Alje snorted again. "Lethero, you are going to let this firedrake go with Telyana?"

"Yes." he said. "I would send you, but you are needed here, in case the humans attack."

Alje shrugged and turned away. Understandable.

When the dark settled, Lethero gave orders to Dresko and set out. He shifted to human formed and set off after Telayna.

She and Fyra were a good distance from the mountain when he found them. When Lethero purposely stepped on a twig, Telayna jumped. "Who's there?" she yelled.

"Thought you might need some help," Lethero said stepping into the moonlight.

"Why do want to come?"

"Oh, because you guys would never let me go alone so I thought I would annoy you that way," Lethero said sarcastically.

Telayna rolled her eyes. "They'll spot you in that armor."

"It's to dark, I'll look like another human to them."

Telayna glared at him.

"You're a real pain you know that?" She said. He just smirked.

"So what's your plan?" He asked as they kept on walking.

"I'm thinking of one."

"You mean...you don't have one yet?" He said trying to sound surprised.

"Hey! I'm working on it. Don't rush me." She said walking away from the two. She stopped and leaned against a tree.

"What's wrong?" Fyra asked.

"Just...kinda tense." She muttered.

"It'll be fine." She said symathetically.

"I hope."

Lethero lean against a tree across from Telayna's. "So, what will you do if this guy doesn't accept you."

"I don't know," Telayna said, "but he was nice enough to me, he can't be all that beastly as the other humans."

"He doesn't even know you are an Alan. What do you think he'll do if he finds out you aren't human? Do you think he'll like you then?"

Syden practically materialized out of the forest in human form, Yera in his arms. "Is there room for two more?"

Telayna sighed. "Is the whole pack going to follow me, now?"

"I odn't know," Syden said with a shrug. "But I like humans--when they're not trying to kill me, that is--and I would like to go to a village."

"Then why did you bring her?" Lethero asked, pointing to Yera.

Syden sighed. "I wanted her to stay and keep safe," he said, putting her down. "But she didn't want to, so..." He glanced up at Lethero, Telayna, and Fyra. "Anymore room?"

Alje paced restlessly around the valley. Since Lethero was gone, he had put her and Nicarga in charge of watching the pack. And Nicarga was nowhere to be seen.

"They've been gone too long..." Alje grumbled to herself. She stopped to look around then continued her pacing, muttering to herself.

"Alje," a soft voice beside her said. Alje looked down to see one of the very young dragons. There were only two, a brother and a sister.

"Yes, Neka?" Alje asked.

"Come sit down with us." the young dragon insisted, pointing her wing at the other dragons.

"Not right now. I will join you soon, though." Alje said reassuringly. The little dragon transformed into a small child and ran over to the others. Alje watched her go.

"They've been gone too long..." she muttered to herself as she started pacing again.

*ok guys going to make the treaty...I dont wana be stuck here pacing for long. XD. so please make the visit to the humans short! Thank you!*

*DM~ you don't have to just be stuck there. You can have some human spies come or have a mutiny or something. But though my character doesn't have a vehement hate for humans, I think the other characters don't want to stick around the humans that long, either. lol*

*Yeah, what Jackie said. You guys can be active too. That's the point.*

"Alright Syden. But keep her out of the way. This can't go wrong." Telayna said. "As to you Lethero, that is the reason I'm scared. I showed another and he tried to kill me. I know you remember him. You killed him." Her voice got hard as she said that.

"Yeah...I know." He growled.

"If he doesn't accept me. I'm gonna run like hell. You guys will be there, so you can help if he decides to turn on me."

"Great plan." He mumbled.

"You got a better one?" She spat. He rolled his eyes and they started to walk again. They hit the edge of the woods to where they could see the village. When she saw Sam talking to some men, she could feel her heart stop.

"Maybe this isn't the best idea." She said backing up.

"Telayna. Stop this." Lethero said pushing her forward. She stumbled into the town and leaned against a wall until he started to walk away. She grabbed his shirt and pulled him over. He was alarmed at first until he saw who it was, then he was hurt.

"Telayna? Is-is that really you?" He said in disbelief. She put her arms around him.

"I'm so sorry Sam. I was scared." She said into his shoulder. He put her at arms length.

"What? And you thought I'd be fine? I've been freaking out ever since you left!" He said, raising his voice.

"I'm sorry, but I couldn't stay." She said.

"I don't know if I can beleive you." He said turning away.

"But you have to! This isn't a lie. And I need to tell you something." She said, lowering her voice.

"We can talk at my house. Meet me there in an hour." He said, and walked away.

Lethero appeared at Sam's door with Telayna, Fyra, Syden, and Yera, each in human form. Telayna knocked on the door and said, "Sam, it's me."

The door opened and when he saw the group he exclaimed, "Who are these people?"

"Just some friends of mind, they will hekp me explain the situation."

"And what is the situation."

"Let us inside and we'll tell you," Lethero said.

"Ok, but I don't see what this is about," Sam replied showing us into his house."

"Sam, I didn't tell you last time, but I'm not human, and neither are my friends." Telayna let her wings grow out, will Syden and Lethero turned into Werewolves, and Fyra turned into a Firedrake. "Seems like we got a lot of explaining to do."

He sat wide-eyed as they took turns telling the story. But he wasn't attacking Telayna. She walked over and folded her wings back and sat next to him.

"You lied to me." He said.

"I know, and I'm sorry." She said touching his shoulder. "Will you please help us?"

"Why did you lie to me though? Those wings are beautiful. You shouldn't hide your beauty." He said.

"Did you not listen to us? Everyone wants us dead!"

"Oh yeah. I'm sorry you've been through so much."

"Will you help us or not?" Lethero chimed in.

"I-I'm not sure," Sam said, "if I do, I'll surely be an outcast."

"Will you do it for me, Sam?" Telayna asked.

Sam looked around as if not knowing what to do. "I guess."

"If you turn on us," Lethero threatened, "I'll make sure you regret it." Lethero turned around and walked away from Sam, making sure his sword was shown.

"I promise," Sam stuttered.

"Oh, thank you Sam," Telayna cried with glee.

*puffs up her cheeks and thinks *ok, i'll go with the spies thing jackie was talking about.**

Alje continued to pace, not caring about how tired she was. She still thought that leaving the tunnel wide open was a bad idea, but she kept the boulder away because Lethero wanted it.

"They've been gone WAY to long now...probably got killed..." Alje muttered, even though it had only been about an hour. She turned to look at the tunnel opening, but saw nothing.

She continued pacing for what seemed like hours. Every once in a while she would glance over at the tunnel but nothing was there. Finally, she got so tired she decided to post herself next to the tunnel and wait. Pacing was doing nothing but wearing her out.

Alje sat next to the tunnel, out of sight from those within. She flexed her wings and yawned widely. She lay her head down on the valley floor and pricked her ears up, listening for anything within the tunnel.

Alje didn't have to wait long. A muffled, quiet bang followed by a muttered curse. Alje lifted her head listened.

"So what's supposed to be in here?" a voice floated out from inside the tunnel, almost not heard.

"Shut your mouth, Lok. We dont want to be heard." another voice commanded. The sounds grew louder.

Alje looked around the valley. Most of the creatures were far away from the tunnel and asleep. A few were talking in hushed groups and one or two were walking back to their own groups to share gossip or go to sleep. Alje smiled. She would have these humans all to herself.

She quickly changed into a human and walked around the front of the tunnel. From within, she was only a siloutte standing in the tunnel entrance.

"Who's that?" she heard one of the men ask.

"I dont know." another said. then he called out loudly, "Who goes there?"

Alje walked forward a few steps. The men halted.

"Who are you?" she called out, making her voice kind.

"Who are you?" one of the men asked.

"I asked you first." she said slyly.

"We'd rather not say." another man said, elbowing the other one in the ribs.

"Fine. But if you are here to kill what's living in this valley, i suggest you turn back while you still can. I have befriended them, that is why i am not dead." Alje called out. She was thankful the men could not see the wicked smile on her face.

"How do we know you're not one of 'em? I heard they can turn into humans when ever they want."

"Oh, that person must be mistaken. They cannot change forms. It is impossible." Alje said, lying.

"Hmm...I think we had better see for ourselves. Move aside ma'am." One man said, stepping forward. Alje obediently stepped out of the cave.

All of the sudden, a huge dragon stood blocking the men's way.

"You should never trust a dragon." she hissed.

"A dragon! Kill it!" one of the men shouted. Bullets were fired at Alje, but luckily her training with Raiana paid off and she cast a shield around herself. She took in a deep breath and blew fire into the tunnel. The men were turned to ashes in seconds.

Alje turned away from the tunnel and resumed her pacing.

"NOW, they have been gone for too long..." Alje said, although it had now been only an hour and a half. She sighed.

Syden glanced over his shoulder. "Trouble," he whispered. "The other men are coming. We should take human forms." He quickly shifted back into his human shape.
