Valeri smiled. "Perfect." She swirled the straw in her cup, making the lychee jellies float around. "Amy, do you have any plans for when all this is over?"

Amys shrugged. "No. Honestly, I never thought of a time after the WANNABES. I thought we were something that was going to last forever."

Vendetta patted Amy on the shoulder.

Dawn hummed sympathetically from Valeri's purse.

Valeri tried to smile comfortingly at Amy. "Maybe the WANNABES won't exist under that name anymore, but the people will still be there, right? You'll have Wormy and Otto."

Amy nodded. "Right. We can form a new team. One unmarked by Joe."

Vendetta grinned. "That's the spirit!"

Dusk seemed to mutter in agreement from their bag.

"Yeah!" Valeri slurped up the last of her drink and grabbed another chip. "Although I do hope you guys choose a better name than 'WANNABES.'"

Amy nodded. “Of course. Joe was never good at naming things. We can do better than that.

Valeri smirked, then crinkled the empty chip bag into a ball. "Should we head back now? We can buy some food for the others."

Vendetta nodded. "Yes! We should. They'll appreciate it."

Valeri ordered some sandwiches, coffee, and carbonated beverages, then turned to Amy and Vendetta. "Anything else?"

Vendetta shook their head. “I don’t think so. Successful trip, everyone!”

Dawn muttered something in Valeri’s bag.

Amy nodded. “Definitely worth… something.”

Beverages and snacks in hand, Valeri strode out of the café and back to the library. Dawn floated out of their purse and twirled in the air as if stretching.

"So, anything happen while we were gone?"

Dusk vibrated. “We were literally listening in on the conversation. We couldn’t have missed anything. Unless they switched to smoke signals.”

Amy giggled.

Dawn glowed a deep pink. "Sounds get muffled through Valeri's bag, though."

Valeri laughed. "No, you didn't miss anything. Although smoke signals sound fun." They approached the steps of the library.

"Oh, good."

Vendetta nodded. “Smoke signals do sound fun!”

Amy opened the door of the library, holding it open for everyone else.

Valeri entered the library and navigated to the table where Cody, Khalil, and the rest of the WANNABES were. "We're back! With food, too."
